Turns out the cat and the alligator are already viral all stars. Here's a prior encounter from 2010.

Not sure of the dynamic between all the players in this. Hope it continues to be a stand-off. None of the park workers seems to be concerned. And the sharing of today's recent (GMA) vid implies all is business as usual. Each is playing his role.

At over a million views since Jan 7, this story captured hearts. The Hero of the day, a fisherman who says he films his fishing outings to capture those moments he actually has something to haul in. This time, he caught more than he bargained for -- the result is a heartwarming turn to a tragic tale and an unlikely fish story.

Each hears spirit in a very unique and personal way. It isn't a new thing - it is a very old thing, a simple way of remembering, honoring and allowing the connection to the One - (source) ever-present through each and every single one. Some are willing to share their process and their messages and when they do -- all benefit.

You will see Rose De Dan's blog featured on the right side of the page. This post (full post is in the link) contained a special and timely message to those who are open to hearing from other realms of being that include spirit guardians and animal messengers. She gave me a heads up so I could listen and I wanted to share both the audio version and the words. So here they. Read and/or listen to her audio interview with Janet Roper.

Windwalker: Message for the World

The journey began in a great meadow where all the animals were gathered. Windwalker sat in front, grooming.

I greeted him.

Windwalker turned and showed me a vast plain and only a few buffalo, encircled by a fence. On the other side of the fence a man was crying. Windwalker told me that because of the separation that we had created between man and wildlife both suffered. The bison had no freedom without and man had no freedom within.

I heard, “What has been sundered must be made whole again or all will die.”

I asked Windwalker what we must do to become whole again and he put a paw across my shoulders and together we looked out across the land. He said, “We must work together.” I looked at him and asked, “You and I?” He laughed, and with a rough lick to my face rumbled, “I meant people and animals, but yes, we still have work to do together you and I.”

“What must the people do?” I asked.

And he showed me a view inside a person, from heart to belly. Inside that person I saw a landscape where birds sang and plants grew. And as I watched, the tendrils grew, until they were outside the person and reached toward other people each with their own gardens.

“Each person must cultivate a garden within themselves,” he said, “and when they do we — the animals, birds, plants, fish – will reach back to them. Together we are strong. Together we can heal ourselves and this world.”

And he showed me each person tending their inner garden, healing themselves by removing weeds of anger, pain, loss; planting seeds of empathy and compassion in fertile soil nurtured with love and organic nutrients.

The scene changed, and all was dark around me. Windwalker was to my right and I realized that we were swimming deep in an ocean. He was searching for someone or something, leaving me alone and then returning. Out of the darkness a large eye appeared and as we surfaced I saw Windwalker riding the back of a great Whale.

Whale showed me the vast oceans and instead of seeing living animals I saw marine fossils from long ago. Then I saw great bleached bones on the shores of the land — Whale was showing me how long he had existed and the rise and fall of species he had seen, the mass extinctions. And he made it clear that we were facing another such time right now.

And then a great wind reached down and picked Windwalker and I up, spiraling into the clouds, and as I watched Windwalker riding the winds I realized how he got his name. He told me we were going to speak to the winds. I was not sure about this, what would I say?

Around us gathered storm clouds, gentle breezes and all the weather patterns in between.

Windwalker and I were in the center of this amazing gathering, and with speech that I felt rather than heard, the Wayras, wind people, communicated that weather patterns were changing. I was shown buffeting winds, and smoke rising everywhere which I took to be carbon dioxide and pollution. Then they showed me each person planting a tree, their suggestion to help bring things back into balance. They also showed me an image of many feet walking, and more closely knit and smaller communities within cities.

The Wayras told me that they did not want to treat the earth and the people roughly but that balance had been upset and without our help it could not be restored. They also mentioned ceremony, showing me offerings being made. It was suggested that we had forgotten gratitude for the natural elements, and that had made a difference also.

And then the Wayras showed me all of them holding hands, and those hands extended to the people and the animals, and they showed me the heavens and the hands extending from the stars toward us. “All is connected,” they said, “what affects one affects all, but it also means that you have our support. It is time to recall what has been forgotten.”

Tears were streaming down my face, and I hugged Windwalker, overcome with awe and gratitude for what I was being shown. I thanked him, the Wayras, the Stars, and Whale. And with my journey ended, I returned.

How provocative and profound to our current mainstream view is her course of study? One of her students said to her - "By dolphin standards, humans might be autistic."

There is no stronger seasonal message for animal-lovers than that found in The Dogs of Proud Spirit.

Proud Spirit sanctuary began with one horse in need on five acres in rural Florida and evolved into a 320-acre facility in Arkansas, where nearly 200 horses have come to live out their lives in peace. Melanie and Jim Bowles are the founders of Proud Spirit and this book offers incredible stories about the dogs that have also found their forever home at the sanctuary.

From Molly, the skinny hound running loose in a parking lot, to Gunner, the Corgi mix languishing in a shelter, to Dusty, the Rottweiler cross who took them past their “two dogs is enough” rule, Jim and Melanie kept adding to their pack. As happens to many with big hearts, strays continued to show up in their lives. The dogs fit in well, developed various ‘jobs’ for themselves, and got along with the horses.

Like all rescued animals, these dogs were mixed challenges and blessings. Molly and Gunner narrowly escaped death by alligators. Betty Boop: A Canine Christmas Miracle

Betty Boop is my ten-year-old designer breed/mutt, who came to me with severe neurological disorders. When I drove to Anaheim to pick up Betty Boop, I knew she was a special-needs dog. I also knew that I could help. I was determined to improve the quality of her health and her life with good nutrition and positive thinking. But I was unaware of her blindness, unaware of the seizures to come, unaware of the water on her brain, the necessary medicines, and ultimately the amount of care this tiny puppy would require. I was also unaware of the qualities I would soon discover in myself, qualities that Betty Boop would help reveal.

In no time I discovered Betty Boop enjoyed being held and would spend a few minutes squirming in my arms before settling on a comfortable position and drifting off to sleep. When she was truly happy, she’d cock her head and stick her tongue out slightly—staring through blind eyes. I’ve questioned my decisions a million times and have often been overwhelmed by the demands of caring for her, but when Betty Boop, all of just over three pounds, tilts her head and gives me that expression of contentment, my doubts vanish.

In 2007 we had a brain scan done to get a better picture of Betty Boop’s true condition. The staff besieged me afterwards in the waiting room with questions: What are you feeding her? How are you able to take care of her?

How is it this dog is even alive?

Seeing my bewildered expression, somebody finally let me know what the scan revealed: Betty Boop has less than one-percent functional brain matter. It seemed impossible. By everything known to science Betty Boop should not have survived past a year. Whatever it is you’re doing, the staff said, keep doing it.

In my opinion, it’s no great secret. Betty Boop simply has the will to live. She responds well to me and she eats and drinks on her own. She perks up when I come home from travel and always seems comforted by my presence and my touch.

Since business travel is sometimes unavoidable, I have come to rely on an amazing dog sitter. Caring for dogs is her passion, and she has many clients to show for it. When I’m on the road, she’ll visit three times a day to make sure Betty Boop takes her medications, in addition to being there to care for all the other members of the family.

Making sure Betty Boop gets her necessary medications continues to be paramount. Her very life depends on it. Everyone gets fed around Betty Boop’s schedule with Betty Boop getting fed last. While her Kibble floats and becomes soft enough for her, I change her bedding and begin laundry. While she eats, I sit on the steps to keep an eye on her while I give the other dogs some attention.

Betty Boop, as you might imagine, can be quite the messy eater and when she’s done, Mr. MaGoo and Carla Mae race for the leftovers. Nine times out of ten, Mr. MaGoo gets there first.

Betty Boop has moments of stunning progress. This past Christmas she broke out walking in a straight line—like a normal dog. It was our Christmas miracle. She wasn’t able to maintain it for long, but it showed me what could happen with a little nurturing, a little encouragement, and a lot of love. Her fate has been uncertain, at best, but she remains a living, breathing miracle in our lives today.

One of the most heartwarming scenes of the year has to be this one. In German, this news vid shows lab chimps who’ve been caged indoors their entire lives as they go outside for the very first time. The smiles say it all.

Link shows the translation. Part of that includes this comment:

"They hugged each other, like they would say they were finally free. And then they laughed. One imagines being locked up for 30 years in an elevator, then to open the door with friends and say "I don't believe it." Finding this quote filled in a blank I have been working with for the past several months. I kept getting direction in dreams and day time nudges to acknowledge amphibious connections to human nature. Now it makes sense... In another interpretation it means we have the potential to navigate the manifest and dream plane in equal skill when we are ready to learn how to apply ourselves and think of our reality in novel ways.
