I also have a feeling that hurt-locker&#8217;s win has a clear political angle. Its a good film, but serves only one point of view. By showing the difficult lives of marines, it implicitly glorifies and clearly hides the wrongdoings of their masters. </p>
<p>On the contrary, Avatar has a very strong anti-imperialism message.</p>

Hope to see the film perhaps next week. Your review has made me even more curious.</p>

<p>Even with Slumdog, people were saying how India in being misrepresented. How Danny Boyle should have also shown Gurgaon Malls and Goa Beaches. Hello, the director was not making a documentary about India. He was telling a story.</p>
<p>Same here. There will be other directors, and believe me a lot more material filmed about the Iraq war giving all types of &#8216;balanced&#8217; viewpoints. The Hurt Locker told a unique story which doesn&#8217;t come around very often.</p>
<p>I am happy with that. It deserves its Oscars.</p>
