Well, wordpress 3.2 has rolled out officially, I wasn’t a fan of the newly designed wordpress 3.2 admin UI, it just came across as cramped, and the bold menu fonts just didn’t do it for me. I spent a few minutes and just added a few subtle changes to make it more pleasing to my eye anyway, I know it wont be alot of peoples cup of tea, but means I can now work in the admin area without feeling the need for more space….

Managed to catch some awesome drifting at the 2010 Festival of Speed in Whitianga over the weekend, not alot of room to move, but what an awesome show! check out some of my footage of one of the demo slots.

Have been learning alot about final cut pro after just forking out some cash for it, and struck a few issues while trying to log capture from  my HV2o, I googled around and tried to find a solution, only to see alot of annoyed people and frustration. I just could not get Final Cut to see my HV20. So I tried in iMove, both iMovie HD and the latest iMovie. When I pushed the capture button (little camera) in these apps, it showed only my isight and NOT my HV20, so all I did was have the camera powered on in play mode, pulled out the firewire cable from the camera and plugged it back in, and boom, the HV20 now showed in both iMovie apps, so once that was showing up, I went over to final cut and hit cmd + 8, and yep, there is my HV20, I have to do this everytime, but hey, it works, and that is all that I care about. Hopefully this helps some of the people out there with the same issue.

Our boy is growing fast, we are lucky enough to work from home right now, so have had lots of good (and bad) times with JJ, this is a major good, and even better we managed to capture it on our new GoProHD

So I have had the GoPro HD camera for less than a week, and what a cool week it was, until today… the camera is now junk. Today I dropped the camera, it then bounced off the carpet, and flew into the kitchen, where it slid onto the tiles, and not a great distance! So I pick it up to find some dirty big scratches on the lens. After testing the camera out, I now have a big blur soft spot where the scratches are, so my camera only a few days old, is now a pile of junk and waste of money… really gutted, really really gutted, not sure when I can or if I will get another one. So pissed.

Our return trip home after being away a few years in the UK, we stop off to see Aunty Jo in Sydney.
