I just returned from visiting family in the UK and France, and I want to share my last wedding for the lovely Carla and Roger. They had a wonderfully intimate, elegant and fun celebration at The Chapel at Gruene in New Braunfels, Texas. It was such a fun experience, and we kicked off the festivities the evening before at Club Giraud. Moon Shadow Haven Wedding – Spring Ceremony + Reception

Moon Shadow Haven Wedding – John and Kristin tied the knot at Moon Shadow Haven, a stunning hilltop property featuring a stone chapel and a wedding reception lodge. Friends and family gathered here to celebrate their spring wedding! It was wonderful getting to know Kristin and John over the past few months. And of course, I finally met Sandy, a special four legged friend. She’s featured in a few below – I’ll let you figure out what pic is my fave:-) A special thank you to my friend Bill McCullough, the groom’s uncle, for referring me to the couple.

I also want to express my gratitude to Christian Margain for joining me as the second shooter. Many people ask about the camera gear I use. For my work, I primarily use a Leica M10R, a M11, and a Nikon D780 + 200-500 lens for those far yet impactful ceremony shots.

I absolutely loved working with the wonderful couple, Paloma and Andrew! They tied the knot on April 5 at The Carriage House, located north of Houston in Conroe, Texas.
The Carriage House is a picturesque venue featuring a chapel and a reception hall located minutes away from The Woodlands area surrounded by lush greenery.

Club Giraud Wedding+Reception-San Antonio River | Lillian+Eric

Lillian and Eric tied the knot at Club Giraud, a private club in a beautiful location along the San Antonio River. They first met on Tumblr around 2012, spent all their college years long-distance, before traveling the country together. In New York, at a German beerhall in Queens, Eric proposed to Lillian, and here we are!

The couple was a blast to work with. I loved meeting them and photographing the hijinks later in the evening. It was lots of fun, and thanks for their trust in me to capture their wedding day bliss.

Working again with planner Robin Waters, catering manager Keith Patterson, and second shooter Chris Margain was lovely.

Thank you, Carolyn and Chris, for trusting me to capture your day as unobtrusively as possible. If you were there, then you know it was a gorgeous day for a very lovely couple. The Chapel at Gruene is nothing short of magical. It evokes a cozy feeling and is full of character. The owners, Michael and his family, are delightful.

Elm Pass Woods – Kerr County, Texas | Kaylin+Daryl

Musicians Kaylin and Daryl recently tied the knot at Elm Pass Woods, located northwest of San Antonio in the Hill Country. Their wedding day celebrated the love of friends and family from around the world, and it featured two beloved four-legged companions, Sebastian and Gamgee.

There were so many wonderful aspects of this wedding that I adored—from the heartfelt DIY decor created by the couple to the Alpaca Bartenders provided by Texas Party Animals, and the disco guitar spinning near their sweetheart table. Of course, the giant tipis added a unique and cool touch to this amazing venue.

I want to thank Kaylin and Daryl for trusting me to capture their special day. A special thanks also goes to Alex and he husband, the venue owners, and Chris, my second shooter for the day. Below are a few of my favorite images from their big celebration.

AvantGarden Wedding Ceremony + Reception in the heart of Montrose, Houston

Here’s a selection of my favorites from Abigail and Alex’s wonderfully charming wedding at AvantGarden in the heart of Montrose, Houston, Texas.

I asked Alex how they first met- his response was a classic: “Online! Our first date was in Boston, the night after Abbie was offered a job in Houston. She was too frazzled to cancel and figured, no harm done. Whoops!”

This was one of my favorite weddings to photograph – you can feel the atmosphere in the authentic 127 year old mansion. The owner/host Mariana was amazing and so helpful to make things go smoothly. Thanks to my friend and amazing photographer, Deji Osinulu that second shot on the day.

The Barn at Bonner Creek Wedding + Reception | Brooke+Jerry

Here’s a gorgeous Jewish winter wedding at The Barn at Bonner Creek, south of Houston in Rosharon, Texas. Brooke and Jerry tied the knot at sunset surrounded by family and friends from all over the world! Brooke and Jerry met at a Texas-themed bar in Manama, Bahrain. The evening was a nonstop party, and even Brooke and her father, Curtis, joined the band for a couple of songs to the delight of the guests.

The Barn at Bonner Creek is full of history – It may be a relatively new wedding venue, but the actual Amish barn was built in Navarre, Ohio, in 1840 by Hugh Davidson, where it served as a working barn for almost its entire life. It’s great to see the restoration of the barn in its golden years, converted for celebrations.

Thank you to Deji Osinulu, the second photographer, for bringing his talents to the day. Here’s a sneak peek of their wedding day captured two weeks ago.

Winter Wedding at Windermere Farms + Reception – Emma + Cameron

Emma and Cameron’s winter wedding at Windermere Farms, just a stone’s throw from San Marcos, brought together their family and friends from all over the country. This gorgeous venue is easily one of my favorites to photograph a wedding; it is nestled within the Texas Hill Country, surrounded by barns, wildflowers, rolling hills, horses, and bison. What more do you need? Well, it was a chilly day with increasing winds and lowering temperatures, but that didn’t stop any of the fun since all you need to do to warm up is dance the night away. That’s what everyone did, as you’ll see below.

I loved working with Emma and Cameron! We start the day at an Airbnb not too far away. Then, we went to the ceremony and some favorite clicks from the reception. Thanks to wedding planner Shannon Asta and second shooter (and associate photographer – part of my photographers collective – Chris Margain).
