The Phillies are finally winning and according to many sources are the “front runners to land the best pitcher in baseball, Roy Halladay. While this sounds terrific, there is no one in the basement that believes this deal is going down – not even a four-jack-and-coke-in e-money.

Also, the Flyers extending Chris Pronger past this year is only the best sports news to come out of Philly World Champions of Baseball became just that – awesome.

However, nothing is for certain. We’re looking for a monster second half from the Phils – provided they can get their shit together and we are looking forward to a wild season from the Flyers.

Before tonight’s ridiculous loss to the Marlins, Charlie Manual asked for Phillies fans to let his team know when it’s performing poorly – in the way we’re all known worldwide for. Seems as if, at least according to Charlie, the honeymoon is not over between the Phillies players and the fans.

Well it’s time for that to end. There will be no more thanking the Phillies players for 2008. The time to boo is now – before 2009 is lost without a fight.

Yes the Phillies lost to the Mets 1-0 tonight. But if I told you the Phillies would hold the Mets to two hits, what would you predict the outcome would be? Damn, this one got away – and it was a game that would have sent the Mets faithful to the cheap seats for sure.
