James J. Walker Park has a colorful history and a central commitment to
the neighborhood. Over the course of the past century, the park has
evolved to serve the needs of its community, which has made the 1.67
acre park a place of solace for neighborhood families.

ADDRESS: 1 Clarkson Street New York, NY (in Greenwich Village)

REMINDERS:
We hold to our heritage and our traditions once again by celebrating a prayer service in the tradition of the annual nine-evening "Simbang Gabi" masses at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center, this year to be hosted by the Catholic Fellowship of Young Filipino Professionals and the JCI Philippine-New York (Jaycees) on December 9, 2011 at 6:30PM.

We cordially invite all our members, loved ones and friends to join us for prayers, Scripture readings and reflection with the young Filipino professional community.

Please save the date, spread the word, and join us as we celebrate being Filipinos and being Catholic.

December 9, 2011
6:30PM
Philippine Center – Kalayaan Hall
556 5th Avenue, New York NY

In keeping with this unique tradition, the host organisations will recreate the nativity scene in a short play during the prayer service. A light salu-salo (reception) will be served after the prayers and reflection.
Our chapter's primary purpose in participating in the walk is two-fold:

(1) To raise funds for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer; and
(2) To inspire members and non-members by encouraging them to participate in the event to support people who have Breast Cancer and those who are survivors.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is more than just the name of a walk; it describes the progress we're making together in the fight against breast cancer. Nothing can describe the hope that is inspired by walking with others who share a passion for ending this disease. Because nearly everyone has been touched by breast cancer in some way, hope for a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays starts with us.
