A website redevelopment for UPPAbaby’s Tune-UP Gear-UP, a top-of-the-line customer experience program that brings the UPPAbaby Tech team to retail locations across the US and internationally to assist with product maintenance and installation. The website had two primary goals: mobile accessibility and ease-of-use for individuals who manage and update the site.

The company had recently developed a re-brand for the program, and the site was built to integrate the new look and feel with the layout and organization of the company’s primary sites. Also, as the original site was not built mobile-first, this project was a complete redevelopment, independent of the older version.

A few of the highlights included an event schedule and RSVP process that can be easily managed in the back end, simplified contact forms, and a couple break points to ensure that the pages and content stayed consistent across devices while the team was on-site and assisting parents.

Creative Arts Marketing

A marketing campaign for the Creative Arts concentrations at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Prior to this campaign, the college did not have a targeted recruitment plan for departments or majors; I worked directly with the Admissions office to develop a set of materials that could be used at events and in mailers.

The brand is based on the College’s ‘Find your voice’ tagline and integrates the auxiliary colors of WVWC’s recent institutional rebrand. Materials have included large-format postcards and folded invitations, t-shirts, pins, website and multipage, small-format newspaper.

The campaign increased recruitment within the arts by 30%–120% across the 6 arts concentrations.

Remix

Layout and guidelines for Remix a textbook by artist and educator Ellen Mueller. The book is 100 pages, full-color and 6″ x 9″ trim.

The book’s content is targeted for traditional-aged college students and combines a mixture of text, imagery and illustration. Cover artwork and images used for chapter dividers and textbook examples are by other artists.

MFA in Creative Writing

WVWC’s MFA in Creative Writing was looking for a mature, easy to update online solution for sharing information and recruiting new students. The site was built to be responsive as many of the students and faculty were engaging with the program away from campus.

Checkers Classic Wings

Branding campaign for Checkers and Rally’s Drive-In Restaurants’ Classic Wings launch. The entire project included not only design but also copywriting, photography and illustration. These elements carried across various outlets including t-shirts, vehicle wraps, packaging, OOH and POP displays.

The campaign’s mascot — the Anonymous Chicken — was developed and expanded for various campaigns and collateral including packaging and marketing at Tropicana Stadium in St. Petersburg, FL.

Latham House Press

Brand developed for a small, independent publisher in West Virginia. The brand led to the layout and development of the press’s first two publications: Music & Blood by C.M. Chapman (2017) and I Closed My Eyes to Tell That Story by Erin Veith (2014).

All materials were produced via print-on-demand services from a variety of online companies in order to best save department / college resources. Materials are boxed and shipped to students accepted to the program as a recruitment package.

TART : projects was a non-profit arts organization located in Toledo, OH. The identity combined typical ‘gallery slick’ with candy colors, merging conservative with youthful. Because the organization did not have a gallery space, the site was designed for mobile first, as event attendees would be traveling around the area, rather than going to a single location. The site was built from scratch for WordPress to allow for easy maintenance. [No longer active.]
