Make Money With Churp Churp Through Twitter

If you live in Malaysia or Singapore and use Twitter to keep in touch online, good news is you can make some extra money by signing up with Churp Churp, an advertising platform to send tweets to your Twitter account so you can earn money from the ads.

Signing up is easy. Once you have signed up, wait for the assigned campaigns for you and when you receive the assignments, you send a tweet to your Twitter account through Churp Churp in order to make sure that you earn the money through the ads.

Important details:

You need to follow the guidelines given for each assignments or else you risk losing the chance to earn money.

You must send the tweets through Churp Churp website or else the tweets don’t count. This is because Churp Churp team will have to review your tweets before they post it on your Twitter account.

You will have to wait about 24 hours after your tweets go online in order to see the amount of earnings.

Malaysians and Singaporeans might be getting different type of campaigns depending on the target by the advertisers.

How much can you earn with one tweet?

It is difficult to say but according to my own experience, my very first tweet earned me RM2.92. I am not sure if this is a good start as there might be other Twitterers who are earning more than this figure from one tweet. One thing for sure it takes some time to earn RM100. Be patient.

How much money you have to make before you can cash out?

RM100.

Yes this is a huge amount, but then again, this is a side income not main stream so it is a good thing to know that you are earning money passively. You might reach RM100 after a few months and by that time, you would be happy to know that you are getting an additional RM100.

Nationality Validity?

Only Malaysians and Singaporeans can join for now. More Asian countries would be available soon (according to the founder).

Worth It?

It depends on how you see the big picture. You don’t get new campaigns every day. You don’t get to cash out immediately. However, you have nothing much to do except to write a 140-character message containing the ad details and post it.

Basically, this is a side job that seems like a growing a tree. You plant a seed, you water it and take good care of it, after a few months, it grows into a tree and bears fruit so you can harvest the fruits. You get what I mean.

You decide whether it is worth to try or not.

I am moving!

*Sigh*

Yes, I am going to move back to Batu Gajah, Perak.

Why?

My husband wants to start a business in home town.

This sounds good. Supposedly I have nothing to complain about.

However, I will miss KL. You might think that I am crazy.

There is nothing special about KL. More pollution. Sound pollution. Air pollution.

But I have been living in KL for like 4 years now. This is like my home.

Moving back to home town is like moving into a new neighbourhood.

It is totally different from spending a week in home town during holidays.

Therefore, I am facing a new level of anxiety. I am nervous. I am scared.

What if things didn't work out the way they supposed to be?

All I can do now is pray that everything will work out the way I want it to be.

Update 6/9/09: Only about 2 weeks left before I finally make the big move! *Sigh*

Yasmin Ahmad Died

You are not going to like this. In fact, everyone is really sad for the fact that my favourite film director is no longer alive.

Yes, Yasmin Ahmad died on 25th July 2009 at 11.25pm.

Let me tell you what I was doing at that time. I was watching Ace Ventura on TV3 and also Dark Water in between advertisements.

Then, I was about to sleep when suddenly I had a strange feeling that deterred me from sleeping at all so I decided to go online and that was when I read about her death.

At the age of 51, I assumed that she would be producing many more films ahead. I first watched her movie, 'Sepet' when I was still 17 - in 2004.

Later on, she had a few more films such as Gubra and the most recent film would be Talentime (2009).

I am so sad. Will talk more later.

I have visited Petrosains located in KLCC on last Sunday and it was a rather pleasant visit. Here is one of the pictures I have taken using a special photography machine to pose as if I was taking pictures with real dinosaurs.

Oh dear, I know I am not good at posing for pictures. I will have more pictures up soon. Still editing some of the pictures to make them look better.

So, having 20 subscribers and not even a proper update, I feel bad. So, here I have a long rambling about the little things that happened in the last 9 months.

1. I have a friend in Letchworth who sent me a very nice photo frame for my wedding.

2. Talking about wedding, yes I am married, on 04.04.09. What an 'auspicious' date.

3. Screw GAF (GetAFreelancer). I no longer use GAF to search for freelance work.

4. I have my own business now.

5. I am beginning to use Triond as a way to earn passive income. In fact for the beginning, I am earning about $1/month. Haha.

6. Financial is getting better.

7. Bro-in-law is getting on my nerve. I really hate him now.

8. I am still a fan of Harry Potter, Pushing Daisies and lately I am so addicted to Twilight series. *aww... Edward Cullen*

9. July 2008, my Twitter followers were 22. Today, I have over 400 followers. Yay! Follow me @writingc

This is the last date I made an update on this blog.

Today, 03 July 2009, after 9 months of disappearance, I guess it is time to be back to this blog.

I won't be updating much though.

I have too many blogs to update (apart from my own, I have to maintain a few sites for a client as well).

I am also not sure why after 9 months of silence, I still have 11 subscribers. I guess they are longing for a return???

This is the end of my blog. This is the last post I am going to make. I am not sure if I will revive this blog but this blog will always be around but with no new updates from me. Craigslist and How It Helps Me

1. I advertised my services in Craigslist and a few days later, I got a few offers in writing articles. It is amazing that Craigslist helps me to get clients the fast and easy way.

2. All I did was advertised under Malaysia > Services > Writing/Editing.

3. Then it was done and all I did was wait for any responses.

4. Naturally after a few days, I got a few offers and I felt great about it.

5. It is definitely recommended to use Craigslist to promote any of you business or services and products.

Google Chrome + Firefox

1. With a combination of both Google Chrome and Firefox, I am not sure which to choose. I have downloaded Chrome and the speed is nothing surprising yet I am not sure how it is supposed to speed things up but I guess I will have to wait for some time. Maybe they will buck up and by then we shall see more improvements.

2. Ruby is living in Letchwork, UK and apparently she wants to meet up with me and so my resolution is to visit Letchwork next year if I can make it. I do wish to meet up with her as well after all she was and is my best friend.

3. A friend wants to have a reunion with the former classmates and she asked me to organise the event, now how am I going to organise the event when everyone else is not even in the same country/states? Wait until everyone is back to the hometown? I am keeping my fingers crossed and hopefully there will be a better idea.

4. What would you do when someone who is supposed to be from your past suddenly haunt you back in your life? Eerie...

5. Ulysses is in my inventory waiting for me to open up the first page...if only I can spend all my time to enjoy it..

6. Secret Recipe never fails to cheer me up, especially the meatballs spaghetti...yummy...

7. Daily Writing Tips 500-word short story competition is coming to an end soon and I am wondering who would be the winner.

8. Life is so good at the moment. The ups and downs continuously battle with each other and I am getting used to it. There is nothing to worry about anymore.

9. If someone tells me about something, often I don't believe, but now I have to admit that I am getting too busy and it is time for me to get a holiday.

My Life Updates

I should have written this a long time ago but I didn't have the time and even now as I am typing out this post, I am actually working on a project and it is 2.02 am. I am never going to sleep until I finish the project but it seems like forever for me to finish it. *sigh*

What have been happening lately?

1. Permatang Pauh by-election is over and the candidate who won the election is none other than DSAI (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim). I am happy that he won after all I would like to see what development and changes that he is going to implement. One thing for sure the Parliament is going to be hotter than Beyonce.

2. I am very busy with work. It is just the same every week. Tight schedule and not enough time.

3. I am so addicted to The Cave of The Golden Rose (a.k.a. Fantaghiro). I love the character Fantaghiro, Tarabas and Romualdo. Who doesn't like the main characters anyway?

4. I rely on YouTube to get my daily dose of Fantaghiro. There is an user who upload videos of Fantaghiro series in English Language. This is what I need, as most of the other videos are in either Italian, Slovakia, Dutch...etc...

5. Still addicted to Cinderella. Please refer to Writing Angel for more info on that.

6. Merdeka (Independence Day) is around the corner (less than 48 hours) and yet I don't feel the excitement. I wonder why?

7. I am hungry as the time of writing this post.

1. First of all, sorry for being away for a long time. I have been very busy with freelancing work that has been mounted as high as Everest.

2. Secondly, 26 August would be the biggest day of history in 2008 as there will be another election in a town known as Permatang Pauh in Penang. The opposition vs. The government. (I do hope the opposition would win because I want to see what the opposition is capable to do since the current government has disappointed me very much).

3. I am working on a new blog, thought of launching it in September but I guess I could not make it so it will have to be delayed.

I know, I have been away for a few days now and I am back. I have many things to say and I am going to start right away.

1. I have been back to my home town since last Friday and it was very unpleasant.

7. I am addicted to ebook so much that I can't stop downloading them.

8. I would recommend manybooks.net for other book lovers.

9. I am going to look for more jobs.

2. I am extremely addicted to Lowyat that I can't seem to be logout from it or not visiting the site at least one day, although I usually stay login the whole day.

3. My Garage Sale 1 and Garage Sale 2. Want to buy something but can't find it anywhere else. Maybe you can find it here.

4. No Spaghetti this weekend but just a simple meal made from Kai Lan and salted fish. Excellent dish to go with rice.

5. I am listening to Pushing Daisies' music, songs and all. Might share it here sometime later.

6. Feeling sad when no one actually say anything to me by leaving comments or a message in the chatbox.

7. According to DailyBlogTips, Alexa has become worthless. I used to think that Alexa provides the best service but apparently it is slacking off lately.

8. I am still reading Deathly Hollows and it is getting so intense now I am totally hooked on to it. I have always been a fan to Harry Potter books and movies (of course the books would come first and later movies).

9. Narnia is slipping away from me. Maybe because of Harry Potter.

10. Independence Day is drawing close but I don't feel the excitement yet. Is there any excitement at all after what has happened these few weeks in Malaysia?

12. Apparently someone asked in Lowyat whether to CAPS or not when writing a blog post. I would say NO to CAPS when I am writing a blog post.

13. The more I write about quit smoking, the more I am addicted to it (not that I am a smoker). Check this out: I-Will-Quit-Smoking (the perfect place to get started)

14. Suddenly I feel that I have a tendency to work at night rather than during the day. I am more concentrated at night maybe because of the silence and only me in the work room typing out the words flowing in my head, only the sound of my keyboard breaks the silence. I am happy with it. The only thing is that I will have to sleep at 3/4am.

15. People are actually asking for freelancing tips from me? OMG, I am not the expert and they are asking the wrong person but I supposed maybe because I am new so they want to know the experience of someone who has just been in this industry for a short time rather than those who have years of experience.

16. Maybe I should start a freelancing blog but my favourite to date is Freelance Folder. I learnt most of the skills there and of course I add in my own skills as well to make it unique rather than just copying everything they teach.

17. I have problem with Yahoo Messenger and to install it all over again is like going through hell so I reserve to using web.im instead.

18. Problogger is probably the best blog teacher apart from Daily Blog Tips.

I am going to have a change here in Phoenicia's Life. I am going to adopt the Mahathir style of blogging. I am going to use numbers instead of paragraphs. I find it easier to read and focus. So bear with me while I continue my blogging.

1. Look at my Technorati status:

The authority is rising higher, which is a good thing. Started off at 0 (zero) and now I have at least 5 reactions. Hopefully there will be more of it.

2. I have been very busy lately with so many writing projects coming at me. Yes, it is supposed to be good. Well, I have been writing for such a long time I don't think I can ever stop writing even just some ramblings.

3. I have abandon my Facebook for some time now and it is time to pick up the pieces.

4. The same goes to my Frienster. *sigh*

5. I think that every Malaysian should read Kerajaan Rakyat blog and Chedet.com. At least in Kerajaan Rakyat, you can read the unbiased stories and in Chedet.com, simply because he was our PM and he has really great opinions about the latest issues happening in Malaysia.

6. I am addicted to Lowyat Forum. I was conned by a Lowyat user and since then I lost interest in it. I don't hate Lowyat that time, it was just that I do not want to repeat the history again but this time, I am in Lowyat for discussion and helping around, perhaps I can even spot a scam or a fraud.

7. My Writing Angel has changed theme and I am loving it. Hopefully once I have more visitors I can get my own domain and hosting.

8. Need to go back to hometown on 15th August, means have to use more money. Where do I get instant cash?

9. I need a break. I need a holiday. Sadly, I don't have enough money to go on a holiday yet so I will have to wait.

10. I am listening to Sway by Bic Runga, Money by Jesca Hoop and Banana Pancake by Jack Johnson.

11. I am reading Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows.

12. I am craving for chocolates, Secret Recipe's meatballs spaghetti and cloud 9.

13. I can't wait to watch The Duchess. I always have an interest for historical movies. The last one I watched was The Other Boleyn Girl.

14. I love The Joker and I hope Two Face will be in the sequel. Sadly Batman has lose his credibility and popularity. I realised that people are more interested in watching the bad guys rather than the good guys. Even I am sick of the good characters.

But I will make an exception for Harry Potter. I can never like Voldemort.

15. I thought that Sex & The City is going to be extremely interesting but then again I find it quite dull but overall it is ok.

16. I am so in love with Dirty Sexy Money and Pushing Daisies. Check out Writing Angel for more info on that.

17. I am thinking about starting a new blog but I have to plan out everything first.

18. I am in love with spaghetti so I am going to make it this weekend again. Perhaps this time I should try something else. Meatballs? I can never forget cheese.

19. The Mummy featuring Jet Li, Brendan Fraser and Michelle Yeoh is excellent. Heck, finally no more egytian mummy but an ancient Chinese Mummy.
