"All owned house people in Chennai are lunatic", some strangers were discussing in a bus. Since, I was reading Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose, book by Derek Prince, I thought little deeper on this. While analyzing on this topic, I have noted that the people of own house in Chennai are restless, have problematic personal and family life, prone of unexpected failures. Raju Murugan, once wrote about sons of Chennai soil in Ananda Vikatan magazine in which he's explained how these people are exploited and chased away from their own-native places. While correlating Derek Prince's doctrine and Raju Murugan's writing, I think, there are some curses.

Who killed Rajiv Gandhi?... There are lots of theories about the killers. But, still Perarivalan and others are sentenced to capital punishment and few want them to be hanged. So, here is the consolidated list of Rajiv Gandhi killers--according to various theories:

Sonia Gandhi according to Subramanian Swamy. In his book Do You Know Your Sonia?, which is available online in Janata Party website, Subramanian Swamy alleges Sonia’s relationship with Madhavrao Scindia and LTTE.

Mossad of Israel according to T.N. Seshan. In Parliamentary discussions, Subramanian Swamy mentioned that "... Shri Seshan who had written a biography in which he said that he told me that it was not the LTTE which killed Rajiv Gandhi, but it was Mossad."

I am not going to go out of this because this is such a serious matter. I will not go out of it. Shri Seshan wrote a biography in which he has said that I got angry because he suggested to me that it was Mossad which was responsible and not the LTTE. I immediately wrote a letter to the Commission asking them to call Shri Seshan for cross -examination. The Commission called me first for cross-examination and asked me. I told the truth and I would like to tell the truth here. Shri Seshan came to my house and said, "Mossad has killed Rajiv Gandhi and not LTTE." I asked him, "Are you in a shock or have you got any basis?" He said, "No, I can find the basis." I asked, "How?" He said, "You tell Shri Chandrashekhar to make me the Home Minister of India and I will find the basis." Shri Chandrashekhar is sitting here. Communist party MLAs and MPs should share their salary (that they receive from government) with their party workers--Gnani once wrote about it. Ever since I've read that, I was looking for a website where we can donate to political parties. Recently I came to know that the Indian tax law 80G allows 100% rebate for donation to political party. I'm not sure, how many people are aware of it.

Crooked power cut for Koodankulam?

Chennai has now official 2-hours power cut per day. People from southern cities say that they have unofficial power cut--not less than 8-hours per day. Everybody says that it is worst in the history, especially when people voted against to DMK for its just [sic] 2-hours official power cut per day. Some people say that there is no need for power cut now and it's a crooked measure to get people's support against to Koodankulam agitators. More specifically, when people of Coimbatore started supporting the Anti-Koodankulam protesters, the power cut rose up from 4-hours to 10-hours. Long live politics!

Puthiya Thalaimurai group losing neutrality & respect?

Like I mentioned earlier, I'm one of the early life subscriber of Puthiya Thalaimurai magazine and I have recommended it to many people. But, these days, the contents are losing neutrality and becoming terrible from terrific--especially on Koodankulam issue. The contents are absolutely crooked and insane. It is better to write anything direct than in sneaky neutral tone. I can guess few reasons for the changes:

It tries to be just "different" to reach cosmopolitan & TwitterGen [sic] crowd
It tries to milk "brand Abdul Kalam". But, visit Anna University and talk to some people to understand how he climbed up faster or read old critic by his classmate writer Sujatha.
It is under pressure from central and state government.

But, I wish the real reason be just an error and Puthiya Thalaimurai magazine and TV will get back respect.

Retired nuclear engineer Dr. S. Jayabarathan (B.E. (Hons), P.Eng. [Nuclear] Canada, born February 21, 1934) kindly replied for the Anti-Koodankulam critic by John Rupert, which I noted as best critic. Since the formatting in comments section is not good for reading, I have formatted them into a new post. I’ll write about the real questions and real concerns in few days time.

1. மீன்பிடித் தொழிலால் கூடங்குளம் பகுதியில் இருந்து ஆண்டொன்றிற்கு அரசுக்கு 2000 கோடி ரூபாய் வருவாய் கிடைக்கிறது. இதை எல்லம் அணுவுலை அமைந்தால் எந்தா நாட்டிற்கும் நம்மால் மீன் ஏற்றுமதி செய்ய இயலாது. இந்த இழப்பு உங்கள் கண்ணிற்கு தெரியாதது ஏனோ? கல்பாக்கத்தில் பணி புரியும் பொறியியல் வல்லுனர்கள் அங்கு கிடைக்கும் மீன்களை வாங்குவதில்லை என்பது உஙளுக்குத் தெரியும் என எண்ணுகிறேன்.

ஜப்பான் தேசத்தில் இயங்கும் 54 அணுமின் உலைகள் கடற்கரையில்தான் அமைந்துள்ளன. கனடாவில் 20 அணுமின் உலைகள் சுவைநீர் ஏரிகளில் உள்ளன. உலகில் பல நாடுகளில் அணு உலைகள் நதிக் கரையில் கட்டப் பட்டுள்ளன. அங்கே வாழ்வோர் மீன் பிடிக்கிறார், விற்கிறார், தின்கிறார்.

2. புவி வெப்பத்திலிருந்து(Geothermal) மின்னாலைகள் அமைப்பதில் ஆராய்ச்சி செய்வதற்கு கூட அரசு சற்றும் சிந்தியாதது ஏனோ? இதில் 35GW முதல் 2000GW வரை கிடைக்கும் என ஆய்வுகள் கூறுகின்றன.

Although there are many positive points of geothermal energy, you can't ignore its negatives when you compare geothermal energy pros and cons. One major problem with geothermal energy is its availability. This form of energy is only available in certain regions on planet Earth. Although it is considered to be a relatively cheap source of energy, the initial cost of setting up a geothermal plant is enormous. Due to this high initial expenditure, not many countries are keen in exploiting this source of energy. The process involved in tapping energy from the ground is quite complex as well. More importantly, there is no guarantee that the site being drilled will facilitate access to steam or hot water forever, or that the site in which one has invested will continue to provide steam or water in desired amounts.

தணிவு நிலைக் கதிரடிப்புகள் உயிர் மூலவித் துண்டிப்பு செய்யா. தமிழ்நாடு கும்ரிமுனை & கேரளாக் கடற்கரையில் ஏராளமாக தோரியம் ஆல்பாக் கதிர்களை ஆயிரக் கணக்கான ஆண்டுகளாய்ப் பின்புலத்தில் கொண்டுள்ளது. அங்கு வாழும் மனிதர் திடகாத்திரமாய் இருக்கிறார்.

4. இந்த கதிர்வீச்சு அதை சுற்றியுள்ள பகுதியில் வாழும் மக்களுக்கு உடல் நலக் கோளாறுகளை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது. எடுத்துக் காட்டாக கல்பாக்கத்தில் அணுமின் உலையில் வேலைப் பார்ப்பவர்களின் குழந்தைகள் உடல் ஊனமுற்றவர்களாகப் பிறக்கின்றனர். அதைச் சுற்றி வாழ்பவர்கள் பலர் புற்றுநோயாலும் தன்னெதிர்ப்புள்ள (self immune) தைராய்டு நோயினாலும் பாதிக்கபட்டுள்ளார்கள் என்பதையும் தாங்கள் டெகல்கா அறிக்கையில் ஏன் படிக்க வில்லை?

நான் 4 ஆண்டுகள் அங்கு பணி செய்தவன். கல்பாக்க அணுவியல் கூடத்தில் ஆயிரக் கண்ண்கான பேர் பணி செய்கிறார். கலபாக்கம் டவுனில் டாக்டர் புகழேந்தி உட்பட பல்லாயிரம் பேர் 40 ஆண்டுகள் வசித்து வருகிறார். அங்கு ஊன முற்றவர் அணுக்கதிர் அடியால் பாதிக்கப் பட்டவர் என்று விஞ்ஞான ரீதியாக இதுவரை நிரூபிக்கப் படவில்லை.

5. கல்பாக்கத்தில் இயல்பு அளவை விட 50 மடங்கு காமா கதிர்வேச்சு கூடுதல் என்பதை நீங்கள் எப்போது உணர்ந்து கொள்வீர்கள்? (டெகல்கா படியுங்கள்)

கல்பாக்க அணுவியல் துறைப் பரப்பு 20 சதுர மைலுக்கு மேற்பட்டது. எங்கே காமாக்கதிர் 50 மடங்கு என்று குறிப்பாகச் சொல்ல வேண்டும்.

6. தமிழ் நாட்டில் உள்ள காற்றாலைகள் இத்தகைய மின் தேவையுள்ள நிலையிலும் காற்று இருந்தும் ஓடாமல் இருப்பது ஏன் என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியுமா? மின்னாற்றலை கையாளும் அளவிற்கு போதுமான அளவு துணை மின் நிலையங்கள் இல்லாது இருப்பது தான். அணு உலை வந்தால் மட்டும் என்னவாகும்?

அணுசக்தி சம்பதப்பட்ட தர்க்கம் இது. காற்றாலை பற்றி இங்கே தர்க்கமில்லை. அது வேறு தளம்.

அணுமின் உலைகள், அனல் மின்சார நிலையங்கள் போல் சிறந்த அடிநிலை மின்சார அனுப்பு (Base Load) நிலையங்கள்.

7. தமிழ் நாட்டில் போதுமான அளவு மின் உற்பத்தி இருந்தும் மின் வெட்டு இருப்பது. தயாரிக்கும் மின்சாரத்தை நடுவண் க்ரிட் இல் இணைக்கும் அளவிற்கு கூடுதல் ஆற்றலை நடுவண் க்ரிட் தாங்க வல்லது அல்ல என்பது உங்களுக்குத் தெரியுமா? அங்ஙணம் தாங்கினால். மரபு சாரா மின்னாற்றலை கிடைக்கும் சமயத்தில் பயன்படுத்தி விட்டு அது இல்லாத சமயத்தில் மட்டும் பிற மின்னிலை யங்களிலிருந்து மின்சாரம் உற்பத்தி செய்து தன்னிறைவு பெற்று. மின்வெட்டிலிருந்து தற்காத்துக் கொள்ளலாம் என்பது ஏன் உஙளுக்குப் புரிய வில்லை.

கூடங்குள 2200 மெகா வாட் அணுமின் சக்தியை அனுப்பும் தகுதி மின்வடச் சுற்றில் உள்ளது. அது NPCIL மத்திய அரசின் பொறுப்பு. சென்னை மின்சார வாரியத்தின் பிரச்சனை பற்றி இங்கே தர்க்கமில்லை.

8. டெகல்கா அறிக்கையை எடுத்து படியுங்கள் எத்தனை பேர் கல்பாக்கத்திலும் பிற அணு மின்னிலையங்களிலும் கதிர்வீச்சால் இறந்துள்ளார்கள் என்று. அவர்கள் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ள அதிகாரப் பூர்வமான ஆதாரத்தையும் பாருங்கள். அல்லது உங்களைப் போல் உள்ளவர்கள் நம்ப

கல்பாக்கம் உட்பட இந்தியாவின் 25 (20 அணுமின் நிலையங்கள் + 5 ஆய்வு அணு உலைகள்) அணுசக்தி நிலயத்தில் 5கடந்த 50 ஆண்டுகளாக கதிரடியில் காயப் பட்டு மரிக்கவில்லை. இறந்தனர் என்பதற்கு தக்க ஆதாரங்கள், நிரூபணம் தேவை.

9. நீங்கள் கூறிய ஆறாவது விரல் பலருக்கு தோன்றியுள்ளது. ராஜஸ்தான் யுரேனியச் சுரஙத்தைப் பற்றித் தேடிப் பாருங்கள். அனைத்து அணுமின் நிலையங்களைப் பற்றி டெகல்காவில் படியுங்கள். பூனை கண்மூடினால் உலகம் இருளாது அல்லவா? குதிரைக்கு கடிவாளம் இட்டால் பாதையின் பக்கவாட்டில் புல் இல்லாமல் போகுமோ! ராஜஸ்தானில் யுரேனியச் சுரங்கம் கிடையாது. ஆறாவது விரல் கதிரடியால் முளைக்குது என்பதற்குத் தக்க ஆதாரம், நிரூபணம் தேவை.

10. உஙளுக்கும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட வில்லை என்பதால் யாருக்குமே ஏற்படாது என்பது தவறு. ஒருவேளை இந்தக் கதிர்வீச்சடியின் பாதிப்பு பத்து தலைமுறைக்குப் பின் தெரிந்தால் என்ன செய்வீர்கள். உஙள் ஜீன்-இன் ஆயிரக் கணக்கான மூலக்Kஊறுகளில் ஒன்றும் பதிக்கப் படவில்லை என்பதை எப்படி உறுதி செய்வீர்கள்?

அணு உலைகளில் வேலை செய்பவர் அத்தனை பேரின் அனுதினக் கதிர்வீச்சுப் பதிவுகள் பத்திரமாய் சேமிக்கப் பட்டுள்ளன.

11. வடக்கு வளர்கிறது தெற்கு தேகிறது என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு உங்கள் மகளை மேற்கு வளர அனுப்பி விட்டீர்கள் போலும்.

25 ஆண்டுகள் இந்திய அணு உலைகளில் வேலை செய்து நான் கனடாவுக்குப் புலம் பெயர்ந்தேன். மகள் எந்த நாட்டு அணு உலையில் வேலை செய்தால் என்ன ?

அணு உலைகள் மதம் பிடிக்கா. மனிதத் தவறு, யந்திரப் பழுது, இயற்கைச் சீற்றம் இம்மூன்றில் ஒன்றால் அல்லது இரண்டால் அபாய நேரலாம். ஆனால் அவ்விதம் விபத்து தூண்டப்பட்டால் முதலில் அணு உலை இயக்கம் தானாய் நிறுத்தமாகும். அபாய வெப்பத் தணிப்பு ஏற்பாடுகள் சூட்டைக் குறைக்கும். செர்நோபில், புகுஷிமா மாடல் அல்ல இந்தியாவின் கூடங்குளம், கனநீர் அணுமின் உலைகள்.

13. அணு மின்னிலையத்தால் உங்களைப் போலுள்ள 0.01 விழுக்காடு மக்களுக்கு வேலை வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது என்பதற்காக 99.99 விழுக்காடு மக்களை அழிவு வாய்க்கு இழுத்துச் செல்வது ஏன்?

மோட்டார் வாகனத் தொழிற்சாலகள் நாட்டில் பெருகியுள்ளன. அவற்றுக்கு உபரிச் சாதானங்கள் (ஸ்பார்பார்ட்ஸ்) தயாரிக்க பல்வேறு சிறு தொழிற்சாலைகள் பல்லாயிரம் பேருக்கு வேலை தருகின்றன.

Work avoiders on the rise

One popular store (that is known for its less selling price, 6-storied air-conditioned showroom) is situated to close to our home. But, Heleena is allergic to it. Reason? Even though there are at least 50 sales people per floor, only 1 or 2 people will be working and responding to the customers' queries.

In another shop, I even noticed that the owner was serving customer when many staffs were cleverly avoiding the show! I'm finding the same problem everywhere. Who're affected here? Obviously the people who're actually working--they will have to handle more work that the clever people have avoided.

Two common gestures/characteristics I have noted in these clever people: 1. They'll pretend to be absolute ignorant (These people's agenda are merely to avoid works, but not to take credits.), 2. They'll create politics on anything (These people's agenda are to take credits without working. These people will usually be more shrewd and talkative.).

While I don't have any solution, I think, over the period of time, everyone will get smarter and will start avoiding works.

Buggy UI/UX software will get no bug reports?

"One client has praised the UI of Burrow for more than half an hour", my boss told me once. It's no surprise for us as even Airbnb was adopting many of the features introduced in our software. Sometimes we used to get petty, trivial feedbacks as bug reports--then we used to wonder how and why clients are pointing out even these tiny dots.

Experience-2

Some long time ago, someone brought me shopping cart software and its UI was big mess. When I pointed out messy UI, the person told me that it must be rugged at core level... but software was so buggy--even basic functionality of the cart system didn't work. We then wondered how such buggy software is surviving.

Possible reasons

I think there are couples of reasons why poor UI software will get less bug reports:

Poor UI means rugged core? I think, people wrongly associate poor UI with solid core.
"Shouldn’t expect more" attitude. Some people may underestimate the knowledge of the coders on seeing poor UI and they may learn not to expect more from such guys.
Good UI means more happy usage. When the software has good UI, they may find it happier to use it lot and so finding tiny issues.
Expecting more from good UI. Some people may expect more from the developers of good UI (e.g. Flickr, etc). So, they can't stop reporting even tiny dots.

I'm so happy and proud of our team... especially after reading a technology critic of an experienced developer who used it for 5-years, through Hackers News.

Like I mentioned earlier, we had to ditch a part of the stack from the new technology that our team was hacking. The surprising fact is that our team faced and identified half of the issues mentioned by the experienced developer within 7-days of learning, lurking and hacking.

Ever since I came to know about Infosys’s puzzle-solving interview pattern, I felt sorry for them. It's such a stupid idea to test puzzle solving skill for programming, IMHO. So far I have seen programmers/hackers as versatile, having artistic (as opposed to scientific) mindset towards programming, having passion for algorithms, having passion for tight codes... But, found only very very few puzzle solvers who can code well.

Some long time ago I was ranting about this stupid interview process. At that time, someone pointed out that it's a technique to identify the people's caste and herd-people. Because of this, we always pushed unique interview pattern to identify real hackers. For the sake of records, some long time ago, I (along with my Marketing Manager) visited one of such companies where they take brilliant puzzle solvers on hefty pay packages... but, we found that even normal CSS effects are rocket science for them!

Node.js and client app are the future of webdeving?

Recently we had to try a new technology. As expected, we did hit edge case quickly. After analyzing thoroughly, we had to ditch part of the stack.

But, I had developed much interest over Node.js, Redis, WebSocket and client app technologies lately and I hope that they'll take the lead.

Some frequently asked questions about these technologies:

What is Node.js?
It is set of JavaScript libraries around Google’s V8 JavaScript engine, written by Ryan Dahl in 2009.

Why Node.js is picking up?
With Node.js, it’s easy to write web server in pure JavaScript. We can totally eliminate another language interpreter layer by programming the web server to handle the request directly (For example, in LAMP, PHP is required to handle the requests. But, in Node.js based server, no such layer is required).

Is Node.js a right choice?
It depends. Though few developers may find it easy to adopt, others may find it difficult to write quality code in event-driven asynchronous style. When there are lots of modules in a project, it is better to stay with Rails-like framework.

What is Redis?
Redis is key-value (think about array('key'=> 'value')) based in-memory database.

Why Redis is picking up?
With Redis, the data access time will be greatly improved.

Is Redis a right choice?
For me, Redis is an ideal choice for medium-to-high data store and where complex reports are not required; in those cases, it’s better to use it around any RDBMS like MySQL.

What is client app technology?
The "views/templates" are available in client-side (obviously transferred from server once) and the data are transferred in JSON format from server. With this, it may be enough to setup REST service in server-end; but the client-side code may get trickier. This approach is already used in Gmail and Twitter. With Backbone.js, Knockout.js and similar frameworks, it's somewhat easy to write client apps.

Why client app technology is picking up?
Few modules--like digg, delicious, etc are the latest trend in web. So, it would be right choice for fast responsive web pages.

Is client app a right technology?
If there are too many modules and SEO is of big concern, it’s better to stay with Rails-like framework. But, note that LinkedIn has mentioned that SEO is possible with dust.js, the library that they have chosen for their client app technology migration. Some developers may find it difficult and would end up writing sloppy codes. When more browsers compatibilities are required, it may not be the right fit.

What is WebSocket?
It is the push technology through we can instantly push changed data to client.

Is WebSocket a right choice?
It depends. When the data changes are to be propagated to all clients, it will be ideal choice. We may use Socket.Io library for the browser compatibility. It is also a good fit with Node.js

Mahendragiri ISRO is situated close to my hometown and now Koodankulam...

When ISRO was started, there were no industries. At that time, everyone was happy about the project as many believed that it would create more employment opportunities. (As per some conspiracy theories, Kanyakumari was sidelined for being Congress-fort then). Later on few guys got job there... and later on they complained that they're been transferred to other place for being local guys--by Anti-Tamil seniors.

Few months ago, an Engineer from Secundrabad who's working in ISRO joined me in train. The guy shared some information... he's recruited/recommended by his Secundrabad colleague, his ambition is to work in NASA, his job is just to check meter and make a note of it..., many guys have similar boring jobs... Anybody who's complaining IT guys should talk to these ISRO guys!

ISRO is a big example on how Indian government is spending crores of rupees lavishly. Majority of the projects--according to the guy, are architected by some members from space companies; they'll give few instructions and processes to these guys and they'll do monitoring works. This in India is called rocket science!

Though ISRO is usually marketed as Indian government's effort, Koodankulam is clearly marketed as Russian project. Some nuclear scientists have started supporting it; I wish they do more than meter-reading! I wish that local guys are not sidelined as in ISRO! So, what's the point? I don't know much about the safety; but I think it will be another ISRO for Indian government to spend crores lavishly... I think, it will be another ISRO for Anti-Tamil experts. (On another note, I don't know how still some pathetic Nadar groups are thinking that they'll get job there)

I greatly admired S.P. Udayakumar (Koodankulam anti-nuclear activist) for his calm and composed response; it is usually not easy to reply moronic Narayanasamy and moronic Ponraj (advisor of Abdul Kalam) who're always blabbering irrationally. By wrongly judging from his sober and humble look, I'd thought that he's an illiterate villager from Koodankulam. But, recently I came to know that he's studied in USA and worked as a professor there. My respect for him greatly increased when I compared him with other exhibitionist NRIs.

For some time now, I was wondering why Times of India is reporting against to Tamils, especially on death penalty and Mullaiperiyar dam. Today, I came to know that it’s demanding 100 crores from The Weekend Leader for unhiding the truth with Rising emotions, falling objectivity, the truth behind Mullaiperiyar coverage in Chennai newsrooms authored by Radhika Giri.
