It’s that time of the year again. After having missed out on Guilfest last year (due to a conflict with my mother’s birthday) I’m going back to Stoke Park this weekend. Bands that I’m looking forward to seeing are Motorhead, Athlete, Lightening Seeds, Toploader, possibly Pendulum and DJ Yoda if we can get into the tent, Brian Wilson, The Wailers and probably a few more. Slight disappointed that Hundred Reasons aren’t playing any more, but c’est la vie.

If I get the chance I’ll post some photos from my phone to Twitter, otherwise I’ll post the ones I take with my camera on FB and Flickr on Sunday night/Monday at some point.

Surrey does the Mongol Rally

Bright and early (well about midday) I was up at Chancellors to see off the team from USSU who were starting on their adventure, driving from Guildford to Mongolia. The idea is that they drive there and then auction off the vehicles they travel in.

I’d like to wish them the best of luck and look forward to reading their blog updates. I’ll post a link when I find out the URL. I’ve already post my photos from the launch on Facebook and Flickr.

Summer Films 2009 - revisited

As you can see from my post on Summer Films 2009 I seem to be getting through them fairly quickly. The only one I haven’t seen that’t been out is X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but I’m hoping that it’s still in the cinemas somewhere. I’m hopefully going to see Transformers at some point over the next couple of weeks and then it’s just a case of waiting until the rest come out in the cinema.

Taste for Politics

Yesterday saw the launch of Taste for Politics, a site for people with any inclination, affiliation or opinion to post articles to. I’ve got in touch with a few politically minded people so I’m hoping that they will help me write a few articles to get it started.

The theme is one I found online, but I’m hoping to get one of my designer colleagues to help me out there.
