Originally known as the Baguio Flower Festival, it was renamed "Panagbenga", meaning "a time of flowering" in one of the native languages of Benguet province. The festival weekend of the the 26th and 27th feasture a much awaited parade of floats festoones with flowers (like California's Rose Parade), and colorful street dances performed by school children clad in flower-inspired garb incorporating native woven fabrics.

The entire month of February to early March is given over to this celebration of community and local arts and culture, with various activities occurring within the city such as a band competition, concerts and local arts show.

La Union surfers are blessed with two surfing seasons that practically merge into one: July to October, and November to March. The La Union Surfing Break held in San Juan right between those two seasons showcase La Union as a destination for surfers and adventure lovers.

Hang loose with the surfers and catch a few waves, or participate in a sandcastle building competition, beach volleyball and frisbee, and a surf competition and clinics to cater to experienced and beginner surfers alike. Then, if not totally wiped out yet, party at night around a beach bonfire and wait for sunrise...

This is a gathering of horse enthusiasts from all over the country, including riders, from neighboring countries like Malaysia. The festival highlights a display of horses and riders. Also included are polo, equestrian, harness or tilbury racing, Western style riding and leisure exhibitions. It also involves activities like horse parades, demonstrations, cowboy western fashion and cooking presentations. This festival is organized by the Greater Clark Visitors Bureau (GCVB).

Held every Christmas time, the town of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte celebrates the Damili festival to acknowledge the main source of their livelihood: Pottery. They use the red variety they call Damili, which is abundant in the Ilocos region. Aside from pots, the red clay is also being used to create the beautiful damili tiles used as flooring for various structures like the Fort Ilocandia Casino and Hotel, Laoag International Airport, and Marcos Mansion.

Duman Festival

Duman is a variety of glutinous rice or malagkit grown only in Sta. Rita (Brgys Sta. Monica and San Agustin). Planting begins in June and harvest is in November when the cool air keeps the rice kernels fall off. The prized duman are the young greenish kernels that stay on the stalks. The way to get the duman is to shake the stalks. The greenish grains are gathered, watered and toasted for two hours. The grain is pounded the winnowed to separate chaff from grain. Unlike the regular rice variety, which can be planted and harvested three times a year, duman can only be harvested in the coll air of November and December.

The Singkaban Fiesta is the festival of arts and culture in honor of Our Lady of Victory in Malolos, Bulacan. The symbol for the fiesta is the Singkaban, a decorated arch that every town or city erects as a sign of Welcome during a fiesta. The Singkaban Unities activities showcasing Bulacan's traditional and modern arts and culture, such as a balagtasan or poetry recitation contest, singing of kundiman or traditional love songsm street dances, a parade of floats, a trade fair and a beauty pageant. On the last day of festivities, the town stages a reenacment of the Malolo Congress, where the first Philippine constitution was written.

Pawikan Festival in Brgy. Nagbalayong, Morong was organized to intensify the information campaign and generate public awareness on the importance of endangered baby. Olive Ridley turtles (Lepidochelys Olivacea are the smallest in the world) in our eco-system. The two day celebration is highlighted by a ceremonial releasing of Pawikan hatchlings in blue waters of South China Sea. Other events include street dancing competitions, where participants are dressed gaudily in turtle-like clothing, a walk for a cause, trade fair, beach volleyball and graffiti paintings.
