Thanks Common Sense With Money!

Each week I’d like to take a moment to reflect on something that I am am thankful for.  I encourage you all to do the same.  It seems that we get so caught up in the world that we forget some times what’s really important.

This week I’d like to say I’m thankful for self correction.  Say what? I’m glad that through my fasting the past couple of weeks that I’m learning more about myself and that I am able to correct myself.

The biggest thing I’ve discovered is that I have an issue with time.  “How long is it going to take.  How long has it been? When is such-n-such going to happen?  How much longer? When is this going to happen?” And so forth.  What I should be focused on is how far have I come.

Sounds silly I know but this discovery and the ability to correct myself from this way of thinking is going to be a HUGE weight lifted.  If I’m not concerned with time so much I won’t be so worrisome.

Think about it with me for a sec. If I’m always concerned with how long is it going to take for situation X to happen with my husbands job, or how long it will take our income to reach $X or our savings to build up to $x or how long it will tak emy blog to reach X viewers .Then wouldn’t that cause some sort of “stress” on my end?  It does or it did until I started changing my thinking.

Now I”m trying to focus on how far I’ve come and so forth.  It takes some effort to keep from the old habits of thinking but I can tell you I fee l a great weight lifted off my shoulders since I’ve “casted all my cares upon HIM”.
