I kinda love this poster. The stiletto heel crushing Batman‘s batarang is a nice Catwoman image. As I’ve mentioned many times before, I am a HUGE Catwoman fan so I really, REALLY want to love the character in this new Batman film. I have my doubts and my worries but … I’m gonna have faith. This poster is a great way to promote the Catwoman character in the film. I just hope that actress Anne Hathaway can deliver.

I managed to get to the venue just in time to see him take the stage … perfectly timed, actually. I had an awesome 7th row aisle seat and I couldn’t have been happier (er, unless I was front row center right underneath him). Back in the day, I used to drive 1, 2, 4 hours each way to see concerts regularly … and even tho I don’t get to do that very often, I do miss it. I loaded up my iPod with new music and just jammed out the whole way. California is really beautiful … and I’ve only seen a small fraction of it. But … I’m digressing. Last night’s concert was so fun, I’m really glad I went.

Today, I need to run … then I need to rest up for another concert tonight. I’m seeing Berlin and Bow Wow Wow at the House of Blues. Yes, I’m way in an 80′s way today :) Happy Saturday!!

She endured a 14-hour flight from Los Angeles, but you’d never know it when a pregnant Reese Witherspoon showed up at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday in a form-fitting black jersey dress that showed off her bump. Witherspoon, who also wore dangling diamond earrings and sky-high fuchsia stilettos, flew to Cannes with her husband Jim Toth to promote her new movie, Mud, which premieres Saturday at the festival. The actress’s presence at Cannes while pregnant was all the more surprising given what a small role she has in Mud … Witherspoon said Saturday at a press conference that she was drawn to the script because it reminded her of her own childhood in Tennessee. “I grew up with my brother in a creek, riding dirt bikes, dirt fishing, everything you see the boys in the movie doing,” she said. “When I read Jeff’s script, it felt like home. It’s a beautiful story about the place I’m from.” But she hesitated before taking the part because she didn’t want to overshadow the rest of the cast or the movie itself. “I like supporting roles but you have to be careful because [big stars] sometimes pull the focus away from the rest of the movie,” she said. “But Jeff assured me it was an ensemble movie – and it was.”

Altho Reese has yet to formally announce her pregnancy, yeah, I think we’ve known for weeks now that homegirl is preg-nant. She looks glorious. I mean, Reese and that killer smile of hers is always radiant but now that she is with child, well, I think she looks even more gorgeous. I’m excited for baby #3. This child will be the first for Reese and new hubby Jim Toth and I bet they couldn’t be happier about their forthcoming bundle of joy. Aren’t these photos great? Beyoncé gave birth to her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on Jan. 7, and is now between albums and tours. From a distance, her four-night run of shows through Sunday at Revel, on the boardwalk here, seemed to be functioning as an advertisement for the grand opening of a $2.4 billion casino, hotel, and luxury-shopping cosmos. It was a little unclear what she was going to do for her first post-maternal gig. She didn’t hit the stage until 10 p.m. on Friday … The show lasted two hours and allowed a dip in the middle for ballads, but otherwise ran rampant, functioning as an almost continuous high point: “Freakum Dress”; “Run the World (Girls)”; “Resentment”; “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)”; “Halo”; “Countdown”; and “1+1,” which she sang on top of a piano, sitting on her knees. She first appeared in a silhouette, focusing on her middle section, which is back in action. In fact, she changed costumes five times … There were maybe half a dozen interstitial parts involving Super 8-like, grainy-color videos, or dancers moving in various styles to an abstracted bit of melody, or modest light shows. Yep, none of this surprises me in the least. Beyoncé is a consummate professional and she wouldn’t attempt a return to the concert stage if she wasn’t ready to absolutely KILL her performance. As I’ve mentioned before, Beyoncé put on one of the most impressive, most entertaining live concerts that I have ever seen in my life. I have no doubt that the audience in Atlantic City last night got more than they paid for. I’m glad to see that Bey is back and in fine form. I’m not holding my breath but I’m hoping that Beyoncé will bring her show to the West Coast so that we could have the chance to see her live again.

Madonna and co. looked to be in mostly good spirits as they made their way thru the airport terminal. I’m sure they have some pretour jitters but I have no doubt that they are ready to put on one amazing show for the folks in Israel. I can’t even tell you how jealous I am of the Israelis right now. They get to see Madonna‘s show in just a few days and I have to wait until OCTOBER! OY! Try as I might to remain unspoiled, I just can’t do it. I can’t wait that long to see what Madonna has in store with this new tour. “Everyone’s got a dark side, no one is picture perfect…will you love me, even with my dark side?” Kelly sings in her new single, Dark Side. With very little makeup on, the video shows a pared down version of the two-time Grammy winner.

Kelly is a beautiful woman and has openly discussed issues such as bullying and weight issues and debuted a gorgeous new look at the Billboard Music Awards where she performed. The SpaceX Dragon capsule has just been successfully “captured” by the International Space Station. This marks the first time a commercial craft has ever landed at the ISS, as well as a huge step forward for private space flight … the capsule was grappled to the Station by a robotic arm … It has been a little over three days since the Dragon was launched by a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida. The launch was delayed several times but finally occurred on the morning of May 22nd. After that, the Dragon’s flight progressed smoothly, and it was cleared to approach the ISS. Over the next several hours, it adjusted its course to the Station, stopping frequently to ensure that acceleration and braking were performing reliably before coming in range of the Station … The capsule has now successfully docked at the ISS and is awaiting opening.

“I’m kinda getting into my next record a little bit,” the rapper said in an interview with Hot 97′s Peter Rosenberg this morning. The man who revealed that he was seriously bullied as a child and teen, and whose real name is Marshall, has been very busy making music of late, but he hasn’t done his own solo work for a while. He has been acting as the executive producer for the band Slaughterhouse’s new record, Welcome To: Our House, and collaborated with the rapper Royce da 5’9″ but for the past 2 years, Eminem hasn’t released, or spoken about, his own solo work. We don’t yet know what he is working on or what sort of time frame he is planning, but we do know that there will be some new sounds from the Detroit rapper in the near future. Y’all know how much I love Moz so it shouldn’t really come as a big surprise that I’m trekking out to see him. He played San Diego earlier this week on his birthday and then he plays Bakersfield tonight … no LA date so, road trip for me. Honestly, I’d drive almost anywhere to see the man in concert. Unsurprisingly, there aren’t many details yet since the engagement is still very fresh news and also because Keira is known for being a very private person, choosing to stay out of the media most of the time.

“I can confirm that Keira is engaged to be married to James Righton,” Knightley’s spokeswoman said, declining to give any further details.

E! News broke the story but we don’t know when or how the proposal took place, and subsequently of course there isn’t any indication yet about a possible wedding date. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t hear much more from the 27-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star given how fiercely private she is, but congratulations are certainly in order for Keira and James. Britney showed up at the auditions yesterday in a beautifully hawt pink dress and she immediately sent fans into a tizzy. To be honest, I knew she was going to bring the heat on this first day of auditions but I know there were are great many people who doubted her. As soon as she stepped foot out of her SUV, all those concerns disappeared and pretty much everyone agreed that Britney looked amazing … and ready to get down to work. Many other folks are reporting that Britney “walked off” the set and are doing everything they can to make something out of nothing but according to E! News‘s Marc Malkin (who was at the auditions in person and witnessed everything first hand), there was no dramatic “walk off” the set:

All hail, Britney Spears! The pop princess was welcomed by the roar of about 4,000 people who crowded into the Frank Erwin center for her debut as an X Factor judge. So how did she do—and why was she missing from the last four tryouts? Spears’ first X Factor comment from the judging panel? The 30-year-old told a teen boy he could be bigger than Justin Bieber! The “Womanizer” singer remained sweet and calm, only giving two no’s during the auditions. Her harshest critique for one poor chap who had no chance of getting through was, “I feel like you need a new teacher to teach you how to sing.” Other than that, she found something nice to say to ever hopeful. “Texas has a lot of talent – seriously!” she tweeted. “Loving @TheXFactorUSA auditions so far” … About 14 soloists and groups sang for the judges. The X Factor peeps have asked us not to spoil the upcoming season by reporting who did and didn’t make it to the next round. After the tenth contestant, Spears was escorted backstage—and she didn’t come back for the last four hopefuls. We’re being told she wanted to take a break. None of the other judges mentioned her sudden departure—even when some in the crowd shouted, “Where’s Britney?!” And a needed break is all it was. Spears was back for the second show taping—and stayed for the entire three-hour shoot. And the really good news? She seemed to have loosened up a bit. Spears and Lovato chatted a lot more than they had earlier in the day. The two stood up at their chairs and danced together during a performance by a hip-hop trio. When all four judges agreed that one rapper was one of the worst auditions of the day, Britney smiled and offered, “I like your hat.” And when Cowell was especially mean to one contestant, Spears sneered, “That was rude, Simon!”

There is no denying that Beyoncé is still one of the biggest pop stars, and the birth of her blessed baby girl, Blue Ivy, with hubby Jay-Z was one of the biggest items of news over the past few months. Jay-Z has performed since Blue’s arrival, but this weekend’s concert heralds Beyoncé’s big return to the public eye.

“I feel a little nervous. I’m enjoying being a mother so it’s like going back to my old job, and it’s a little sI’m enjoying being a mother so it’s like going back to my old job, and it’s a little strange,” she says. “But it’s important that you don’t lose yourself and still have your own passions. And so I’m back to work, I’m back to business.”

I love Beyoncé but I wouldn’t have minded if she had taken a year or so off from work to concentrate on being a new mom. It is quite clear that she is loving motherhood, but it is fantastic to see that she sees her performance and recording artist work as a passion and something integral to herself, which she must combine with being a mom.

I wish I was seeing this concert, I do really think it is going to be a great show and it is a milestone being Bey’s big return to the stage after giving birth to her daughter. I am keen to see if she will reveal new music or a new style since going through the massive life changing event of becoming a first time mother. Beyoncé’s concert happens tonight, May 25th and then for the next 3 nights. Are you going to be seeing Bey live at Revel in Atlantic City?

Pattinson stepped out earlier that day to support Stewart at the film’s glitzy premiere, although they walked the red carpet separately. He arrived on his own, while she hit the carpet with her equally hunky On the Road costars: Tom Sturridge, Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley. During the screening itself, K.Stew reportedly sat with her costars, while R.Pattz was one row in front of them. Just last week, Stewart dropped the biggest hint yet that the two were an item when she told Elle magazine that “my f–king boyfriend just did” Bel Ami, the upcoming period drama headlined by Pattinson.

Ah, they’re totally together! Quite a few reports have circulated since they were caught canoodling at the after-party for K.Stew’s new flick, On the Road. Everyone seems to be saying that finally, it’s official. While we don’t know for sure because no one from either camp has confirmed the story, it does seem that in the very least they are hooking up.
Alongside the fabulous Ms Stewart is a stellar cast including Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, Garrett Hedlund, Steve Buscemi . All the pics from the photo call show Kirsten and Kristen (yes, it is so confusing these two names) playing around and having a ball with each other…. and then, it seems Kristen (with the “r” first) kept having fun with a certain other person. Love it!

Ah, finally! I hope that Kristen and R. Pattz come out now and actually be a couple in full public display. They make one seriously HOT couple, don’t they? She has said in interviews that she is “dying to make another movie with Rob”, and that they make a good team… yes, yes, we know what she means.

The casting comes only 10 days before Liz & Dick is scheduled to begin filming — on June 4 — after the movie’s executive producer Larry A. Thompson and Lifetime had auditioned “many actors on just about any continent,” Thompson said. He noted that the hope was to try and find an actor who, like Burton, is Welsh, but New Zealander Bowler wowed them with his tape. “Grant will add gravitas to our couple and bring to life one of the greatest actors who has ever lived,” Thompson said. “Burton was a Welsh poet, a rascal, and a man’s man, who swept Elizabeth Taylor off her feet and flew her so close to the sun that they both exploded into stardust that still lights up Hollywood. Grant’s casting was sealed today after he did a reading with Lohan at the network. “The chemistry erupted in the room,” said Thompson said, calling Taylor and Burton “the first Hollywood royal couple, the first Brangelina.”

Well, they’ve found their Dick! From Deadline’s report, it sounds like Grant Bowler really wowed the producers with his audition to play Richard Burton. I’m fascinated to see what kind of chemistry they are talking about! I have to say, Grant definitely has the right look. He kinda reminds me of a young Dick, with a slightly roguish smile and unkempt style. They even have a similar bone structure. I don’t know Grant well as an actor, but given that he is a New Zealander, I do think he will play a Welshman pretty well.

As Trent said earlier this week, this biopic is going to get a lot of attention given that they have cast Lindsay Lohan in the title role as Elizabeth Taylor. It was bound to be interesting to see who they got to play Dick. His role is also completely critical to the biopic. Together, Lindsay and Grant need to recreate one of the greatest romances ever to have existed in Hollywood. They need the right chemistry, the right connection. I am impressed that they have given the role to Grant, who is definitely not a total newbie, but who also isn’t part of the Hollywood clique and inner circle. I’m actually pretty excited to see how he does as our Dick. What do you think of this casting decision??

Katherine and Josh have named their baby girl…. Adaleide Marie Hope Kelley. How pretty is the name Adaleide? I love it! Being an Australian, I could probably never name my child Adaleide (whether it is spelled Adelaide or Adalaide, and the same goes for the name Sydney, as they are all major Australian cities…) but I do think it is such a pretty name for the little girl. Marie Hope is also gorgeous. We have also learned today that Adaleide was born in Louisiana, and is not from South Korea like her big sister, Naleigh, who is 3 years old, and I’m sure thrilled to have a baby sister to play with.

The news was broken by Us Weekly who spotted Katherine out and about in Beverly Hills on Wednesday for a family lunch. The first glimpses of Adaleide were also seen, but we are yet to get a full picture of the little blessed child. Welcome to the world little Adaleide Marie Hope Kelley! We can’t wait to meet you.

TMZ broke the story … Phillips doctors ordered him to undergo a procedure to fix his severe kidney stone problems — which have worsened since the singer went on “Idol” — but Phillip refused, insisting on finishing the show first.But now that it’s all over … and Phillip won … we’re told he’s finally planning on getting the operation in L.A. in the next 7-10 days. We’re told Phillip’s parents will be flying in for support. Kidney operations are no joke — Phillip can expect to spend several days in the hospital, followed by a 6-week recovery period.

According to People magazine, Phillip has chronic kidney problems, and he underwent 8 small operations to remove kidney stones during the Idol season to keep himself well enough to get through it, and now he is facing surgery to reconstruct his kidneys. Phillip’s father, also named Phillip Phillips (it’s confusing!), revealed after Wednesday night’s finale that, “He’s been doing [well], but it’s just grueling hours and it’s just amazing what he’s done through the journey… Eight operations since we started American Idol … He’s hitting 50 percent, but he’s still up there swinging away.”

This is what Phillip has said…

“I’m going to get some surgery done, so I’m going to get all better for the tour,” he said. “It was very tough [getting through the season]. I had great doctors and great people surrounding me [who] really helped out, so it’s just a blessing to be here.”

Wow, he is so mature and positive for such a young person, especially someone who is going through so much in his life, both positive and negative. A kidney reconstruction sounds serious and painful. All the reports are saying that he is expected to make a complete recuperation in time for the Idols Live tour, but lets all send our best wishes to the newly crowned musician for a speedy and full recovery. If he was only performing at 50% during the competition because of health issues, imagine how good he will be at 100%?
