The Century Tuna Superbods Beach Fest 2007, one of the most-awaited sexy body summer searches in the country, will be again held in Boracay. Now on it’s second year, it became bigger and better, boasting of 12 male and 12 female models vying for the title of Century Tuna Superbod for 2007. The winners, one each for the male and female categories, will win a P500,000 modelling contract from Century Tuna.

According to the website, there will be a walk-in go-see on April 28, 2007 at the Century Superbods Beach Fest in Pier 1, Boracay from 10am to 3pm, for those who wish to join. The country’s leading canned tuna brand is all set to hold the most anticipated image model search in one exciting event featuring hot parties, top celebrities, beautiful bodies plus great prizes to be given away to Boracay’s beach bums!

The event will kick off with the Century Tuna Lite Moonlight Party tonight, where guests flown in from Manila courtesy of SEAIR will be treated to a night of chill-out music, overflowing booze and sumptuous treats made from Century Tuna Lite.

On Saturday, it will be fun, fun, fun under the sun at the Century Tuna Superbods Beachfest, where beach activities and raffle prizes are in store for Boracay beachcombers. The event will begin with the Century Tuna Superbods walk-in go-see, where six contestants—three males and three females—will be chosen as wild card contestants for the finals. The go-see will happen at the Pier One beachfront from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Beach bums will also get a visual feast of stars, where celebrity guests and finalists will participate at the Century Tuna celebrity beach games. See the participants warm up for some kayak relay, beach batons battle, beach tug-o-war, and obstacle course, among others.

Hard-court heartthrobs dominate Superbods search

It was indeed one scorching hot summer in Boracay with hot bodies, top celebs, and cool parties heating up the beautiful paradise island via the recently held Century Tuna Superbods Beachfest 2007.

Kicking off the two-day summer bash was the Century Tuna Sunset Party hosted by VJ and TV host Iya Villania and actor-model Derek Ramsay. Celebrity guests, top personalities, media friends and Superbods finalists in their white beach garb—flown in to Boracay by SEAIR, the official airline of Century Tuna Superbods 2007—were treated to a chillout gig in Club Paraw. Guests also sampled the zesty delight of the new Century Tuna Hot and Spicy variant, which has 50 percent less fat and less salt with a zesty hot and spicy flavor.

The next day, Century Tuna gave beach bums a blast with free massage, hair braiding and henna tattoos in Pier One. Model wannabes had the last chance to join the hottest image model search in the wild card go-see. In the afternoon, guests turned up the heat as they competed in the celebrity beach games like the fishing challenge, extreme relay game, among others.

In the evening, it was time for the most awaited main event, where 30 contestants—22 semi-finalists from Manila and eight wild card contestants from the go-see held earlier in the afternoon—battled it out for a chance to become Century Tuna’s next male and female image models who exude not only gorgeous bodies and passion for healthy lifestyle but also great confidence and motivation to succeed in whatever he or she pursues in life.

The 30 contestants were Pierre Niccolo Fabi, Jerome Ortiz, Alexander Poe, JC Tiuseco, Jovince Cañisarez, Larry Bril, Raphael Kiefer, Ram Sagad, James Zablan, Mico Lara, Alizon Andres, Athan Collado, Gabriel Garcia, Marc So, Jessie John Cabuang, Mona Lisa Neuboeck, Dominique Dabao, Lotus van Hedeggem, Kristine Pearl Ladera, Jamie Diago, Tricia Velasco, Jam La Migo, Dorothy Aragye, Patty Ortega, Julia Duncan, Mica Tuaño, Gwyneth Albarraccin, Dannielle Go, Ave Ong, and Stephanie Afzelius.

The grand finalists wowed the audience with their beautiful bods as they wore Twinkle Ferraren Swimsuits and board shorts by Resort Shop, all available at Cinderella.

The contestants were later trimmed down to 12 finalists, who each faced a challenging Q&A portion with the judges: supermodel Rissa Samson, top fashion photographer Raymund Isaac, fashion director Robby Carmona, MEGA Publishing Group president and chief executive Sari Yap, star discoverer Jojie Dingcong, columnist Maurice Arcache, PC&V Communications’ vice president Ariel Comia, and Century Tuna marketing manager Ayet Evangelista.

Finally, it was time to announce this year’s Century Tuna Superbods winners. Landing on the top spot were Ram Sagad and Patty Ortega who each won half a million pesos worth of exclusive one-year modeling contract with Century Tuna. They will be set to appear in its TV commercials, print ads, billboards, and posters.

First runners-up were Mica Tuaño and JC Tiuseco, while second runners-up were Dorothy Aragye and Ralph Kiefer. Winning the People’s Choice Award were Alizon Andres and Jamie Diago, who got the most number of votes from texters. They went home with P50,000 each.

The party went on until the wee hours of the morning where guests grooved to the hot music provided by DJ Karl Ty of Superfly. Seen at the party were Phoemela Barranda, Camille Prats, Marc Nelson, Andrew Wolfe, Paolo Trillo, Rovilson Fernandez, Brent Javier, Brad Turvey, ABS-CBN Publishing’s Ernie Lopez, and Superbods 2006 winners Jon Mullaly and Michelle Padua.

Also joining in the fun were Robert Dean Barbers, general manager of the Philippine Tourism Authority; Patrick Tan, vice president of SEAIR; and Socky Pitargue of PC&V Communications, Century Tuna’s advertising agency.

Guests and visitors who purchased Century Tuna products were also treated to great raffle prizes like Sony PSP, Apple iPod Video, Canon Digital IXUS 850 IS, and Nokia N70 mobile phones.
