[RS] Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Bud Brothers

The Bud Brothers Series is a group of eight best selling novels written by Filipino Romance Writer, Rose Tan. It has sold more than 15,000 copies during it’s first printing in the Philippines in 2002 and has been expanded into a franchise (Bud Brothers Group and Bud Brothers Unlimited) by it’s Publisher Precious Pages Corp by 2005.

The books tells the story of eight different men who decided to start a flower farm in Lian, Batangas and their adventures in love. The fictional farm is called The Bud Brothers Flower Farm thus explaining the name of the series.

The Bud Brothers consists of the following characters: Vince Banaag, Wayne Alban, Pete Labrador, Carlo Domingo, Dr. Ed Lacson, Rei Arambulo, Monty Geronimo & Dick.

Despite her mother’s protests, Jillian (Angel Locsin) pursues her dream of becoming a chef by joining a cooking contest where she gets a chance to study culinary arts in different Asian countries. Before anyone can stop her, she is already on her way to Korea together with her long-time best friend, Jonathan (Diether Ocampo). But it soon becomes clear to her that skill alone is not enough to make her pass such a difficult course. So in her desperate attempt to succeed and create a good life for her family, she goes in search for a woman who can teach her a winning recipe.

Then she crosses paths with TJ (Sam Milby), an arrogant but wealthy businessman who is looking for his mother, the same woman Jillian is after. They hardly get along yet they eventually end up having a one-night stand as Jillian momentarily makes him forget about his worries about his mom’s second marriage. They go their separate ways the next morning after a misunderstanding and it’s only later on that Jillian finds out that she’s pregnant, which means that she can’t continue her studies anymore. Then a twist of fate brings them together again in the Philippines six years after that fateful encounter abroad.

Sa Caminando Sobre Barriles Giratorios, tinawid nila ang umiikot na mahabang bariles at sinubukang kunin ang mga flags na nakadikit sa bariles. Pabilisan ang labanan sa stunt na ito, pero ang pinakamahirap ay ang pag-maintain ng balance habang nakatuntong sa umiikot na bariles.

Si Elmer ang naunang gumawa ng stunt. Pero dahil nangangapa pa sa diskarte ay nahulog na agad ang veterinaryo. Good thing naka-snatch si Elmer ng isang banderita bago siya nahulog sa malamig na ilog.

Dolphy is turning 80 years old and as a treat for his fans, the comedy king is now doing a movie tentatively titled “Dobol Trobol” together with the “prince” of comedy Vic Sotto. The movie took 10 years in conceptualizing that’s why the comedy royalties are very happy that it finally took off.

Marian Rivera was supposed to be joining Vic and Dolphy in the movie but because of hectic schedules in shooting Dyesebel, her manager pulled her out from the project. It was reported that former Miss Earth-Canada Riza Santos is going to replace her.
