What I Did: We couldn’t get him to smile or even get the frown off his face for a single picture. Instead we got this “I’m gonna knock you out” look with his fist up too. We were just trying for or own diy Easter pictures.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: I don’t know if I would change anything. It definitely wasn’t what we were going for but it still ended up being the family’s favorite picture.

What I Did: My 6 year old daughter wanted something special to bring to school for her birthday. She is a Pinterest junkie and asked for these pops. My response was “I’ll try but i male no promises.” Her response, ” Its ok if you can’t i wont be mad just disappointed.” No pressure. We did change the eyes are our local store didn’t have the edible markers and she asked 3 days before we needed them. She loved them though and enjoyed helping make a class snack.

My Result:

Next Time I Will:Get the marker and make do cake pops instead. The Oreos kept breaking when we dipped them in chocolate. We are still going to be using them. Mt daughter loves them that is all that matters.

What I Did: My baby girl wanted a poopie emoji themed birthday party. So I began my planning with first looking at Pinterest cake ideas. I found what I needed and figured it looked easy enough. I was up for the challenge….and this happened….

What I Did: Thinking I could skip a step and just use canned frosting, it turned into a disaster. I tried melting the can of icing and it just got clumpy and the cake crumb spread all over the icing.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: Follow the directions for the icing and call a bakery to have it done!

What I Did:
I did everything right. Maybe I didn’t spray the Bundt pan a huge amount…? I substituted broccoli instead of ham but the biscuit squares burnt, the eggs overflowed onto the oven floor making an Ohio state shape merging with Florida.

Next time I’m using a 9 x 13 pan and spraying it really well.

What I Did: The infamous Unicorn rainbow birthday cake. I made the horn out of foundant. My 4 year old was thrilled but apparently when pictured from this angle it resembled a male body part, at least that’s what everyone who saw this picture on social media said. My husband has made sure everyone has seen it too.

My Result:

What I Did: This cake always makes me smile. I didn’t follow any instructions I just guessed how it should be made and made up the egg and flour ratio! I liked the look of the 3D cake and thought that looks easy.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: I wouldn’t make any changes. It was for my daughters 3rd birthday. She is now 8! Every year this picture comes up on my timehop so I share it with my Facebook friends and we laugh. A LOT! Florence loved it anyway. I like the fact that even though it’s really shit. You still know who it is!

What I Did: The chocolate icing turned out fine, but when I started making the mouths using black and white icing I had bought in little tubes it started to run. I was laughing so hard I could hardly finish them.

Next Time I Will: I would cut mouths out of white Marzipan.

What I Did: I set out to make decorated sugar cookies of a boxer to say thank you to my vet for saving my dog’s life. I first attempted to make the dough from scratch and that failed. It was super crumbly. So I resorted to pre-made dough and that made a HUGE difference. I had 4 different cookie cutters and the most ambitious was the face of a boxer. I was really looking forward to bringing that to life. Well, I quickly learned that I am no good at decorating cookies. My first attempt looks like Mufasa who has been up for days on Meth. So I threw in the towel on that cutter and kept to the more simple ones like the bone and paw print.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: Next time I will order these from a professional if I want the super ambitious designs. Otherwise, my simple designs came out quite cute. I think maybe I would get some different types of icing to mix it up a bit.
