This year is the my niece and nephew’s first year in school. You know how kids are, they are hyper-active. They both wear eyeglasses and broke both their pairs a few times already without even involving major activies. So, my sister thought of buying them both an extra pair each just for school. We’ve been reading a lot of good reviews about Zenni Optical and my sister is liking it, especially about the titanium frames in High Five to Zenni Optical. And you can also now watch Zenni Optical on TV!!! The prices are reasonable, they even have $ 8 Rx eyeglasses, it’s perfect for her budget.

CatScrap has a new store! They have installed a new shopping and the new store is much better than the old. When you click on a product, the 600×600 preview is already on the product page, no need to enlarge it. Plus, there are now options to see additional previews. Cool! On the other hand, I’m getting addicted browsing these wholesale lots. It’s a good place to shop when you’re in the buy and sell business. Everything is cheap I’m tempted to bid on some stuff for myself. Good thing I’m on a spending freeze or else my PayPal would be burning a hole right now.

I was helping my friend search for fabulous Florida vacations when I came across this personality test which tells you what primary color matches your personality. I thought it was pretty interesting since I work with colors when I do layouts so I took the test. Here’s my result:

Lazy Summertime

Summertime is over on my side of the world but it’s just beginning on the other side. But in a tropical country like where I live, beach time is not only summertime, especially for me. To me, every time is beach time! In fact, I’ll be going to the beach sometime this month. And I haven’t lost an inch… tsk tsk tsk. Maybe I should start looking for the best diet pills around. Haha! Part-time

I’m currently looking for a part-time job. I am a freelancer and my main source of income is making photobooks for a party decorator’s clients. The pay is per project basis. It’s okay but it is unstable because not all wants a photobook. I tried scrapping for others but it wouldn’t jump-start. I also earn a little extra from blogging but it still isn’t enough. Anyway, I was thinking that if I combine all these and could manage my time well, I could still get a part-time job and earn like I’m working a regular job. I tried looking in the classified ads but the most interesting offers are medical related. Sometimes I think if I should just take medical coding training courses just to get it over it. But it wouldn’t be fun, you know, since I’m not really interested with it. Anyway, I think I should just really focus with being a freelance artist. I should really start promoting what I do but I really can’t find the time and resources. Oh well, I promise myself I’ll do it this year. I have to! Wish me luck!

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

A girl can’t have too many flowers. We sometimes hear this as an axcuse to buying more scrap stuff. But who can resist those oh so pretty and colorful flowers? And admit it, they do brighten up a scrap page. I love flower packs! I buy them even though I don’t use them much… I really have to learn how to layer and cluster elements. Sigh. First Day of School

I made a layout of my niece and nephew’s first day of school. They’re one year apart but they both started school this year. The little girl is on eyear older but she had to postpone school because she had an open heart surgery last year. Both were so excited and had a few crying sessions but they both did fine after awhile. Here are the pages:

On another note, I’m excited about my new camera. I will get about two weeks from now. I want to do a photoshoot of an area with industrial equipments, just for the fun of it. Bet it’ll make a pretty interesting subject. And I also wanted to try out a couple of lomo tricks. I can’t wait! I’m so excited already! I bought the camera from the Lomography online store and had it shipped to my cousin in the US. She’ll be coming home in a couple of weeks and will be bringing the camera.

My friend is based in NY and I haven’t heard from for awhile. I know she’s busy and I completely understand, it’s just that I really miss her. We used to be together a lot and we talk on the phone when we’re apart. Now, her constant companion is her new friend, who is a Rochester medical malpractice attorney. My constant companion these days is my nephew. Haha!

I hope she’ll call me soon!
