I haven’t done this in so long I needed a new password. Since my last post, I bid farewell to Berlin, flew to Albania, got married, moved out of NYC and into Seattle, petitioned the U.S. Government for my husband, and landed a new job. I’m tired tonight and missing my man.

Riding the bus home this evening, my emotions turned and twisted like the Seattle streets. But I know I’m in the right place; doors have opened so easily here. I sleep assured that Tani will join me soon. Surrounded by Evergreens, the palm trees call me to our sunny seaside dream. “Schlaft gut, Mein Baby, Ich vermisse dich viel. “

Don’t Worry, Be Sicher!

I heard it again this morning, “Worry is a misuse of imagination.” I am grateful to Dan Zadra for that gift that keeps on giving. Whenever I head down the rabbit-hole of angst & fear, I know from past experience that negative energy only amplifies the issue. And what’s worse, I ruin my day & peace of mind with problems that don’t even exist.

So what’s a girl to do? See it as sorted, I say! Go to the end of the perceived “problem” & envision the desired results. Whenever you drift to the dreaded “What ifs,” call yourself back to the shore of sure or “sicher,” as they say auf Deutsch.

Here’s one of my favorite examples: Obama’s election. For the duration of the campaign, I held it in my heart that despite polls, Palin or whatever anyone said on the subject, he was our President. Period. I know I wasn’t the only one using the Law of Attraction as the proof is in the White House!

My Angel

My Angel stands guard inside a church courtyard along the café-lined Gethsemane Strasse. In Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood – with a sword in his hand and a lion at his feet - he beckons to me. I may be on my way to an entirely different destination yet am pulled by his presence to pause. There, in front of him, I am guided to give all of my troubles over to God. In seconds, tears flow freely from my eyes and I hear short, specific messages. Write this email, go to that shop or call this friend immediately. I am left with a profound peace, calm and clarity to take on the day and my life. When I get scared, nervous, lonely or afraid, I rest assured he is watching over me, providing me all the protection I could ever pray for and then some.

Testimony Time

I had a rough day earlier this week. Usually one perky Pixie, I felt depressed, unsettled, anxious, lonely and grasping for connection of any kind. My boyfriend didn’t know what to make of me and wondered what he could do to help; I told him to hold me as I cried and he did.

After a night of tossing and turning, I woke up and went within. I’d been searching externally for answers and had found none. Detached from my own essence, I’d let the appearance of lack - of structure, activities, friends, conversation - become my reality. And with this as my “truth,” I felt I had nothing.

By going to my heart and connecting to my Divine nature, I recalled that the world did not give me my happiness and therefore, it could not take it away. There was nothing missing from my life and I had everything I needed to be safe and sublime

I am grateful for this unpleasant experience for the lesson I re-learned. Sharing it with you, I hear the wise words of the ever-amazing Carlos W. Anderson, “If you do not have a test, you cannot have a testimony.” Amen, brother, AMEN!

Following the Flow

Well, I have an update to my previous Pixie post. When I went to retrieve my fave handbag, the old zipper was intact; it had not yet been replaced by an ugly off-chocolate one which awaited my approval. When I declined the unacceptable substitution, the shopkeeper apologized. I took my baby on my arm and headed out the door.

It felt good to have her back again. En route to the U-Bahn, I passed another repair shop. That owner said he could do it but that it’d be very expensive and not worth it. Momentarily I mulled that over, as maybe it was to me. But then it hit me: I gave it my best shot. Now I needed to let go & follow the new flow. It that means shopping for a hot new handbag, so be it!

I bade my Dautore good-bye and laid it gently in a trash bin. Parting was such sweet sorrow indeed.

Here’s to loving what was, is & what’s right around the next corner, kids!

Manifesting Small Miracles

Greetings from Berlin, my Pixie peeps! I am sitting in an Altbau (old building) overlooking a park and my new Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood. Sipping coffee and answering emails, I feel oh so grateful.

I have seen - in this move and in everything - that things go more smoothly when I remember to ask that they do so. In my world, requests go to God, the Angels or The Universe for exactly what I need. Here’s an example:

My favorite handbag has been limping along for months with a broken zipper. I had no time before leaving NYC to fix it and no desire to toss it away for a new model either. I packed some back-ups and hit the air knowing I’d get it fixed eventually. In my mind, I’d set the intention to find a repair shop but had not specifically looked for one. Yesterday, when wandering around with my camera a mere block from my new digs, I “happened” upon this:

I’ll have my baby back next week sans any active effort on my behalf. When I allow time/space for a solution, it seems to sort itself out! What’s more magical than that?

Man on Wire

I had the pleasure of seeing Philippe Petit at a screening of his film, “Man on Wire,” this week. Held in New York at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the event egged me on. I’m preparing to leave my life here and begin again in Berlin in 11 short days. I felt as if Petit were speaking to me that night, validating my Pixie plan with his wise words. With that, I offer you the best bits:

Cancer-Free-Me
