Although the shoot was notoriously grueling, The Atomic Blond actress has always maintained that she loved playing the character and would jump at the chance to return to the wasteland for a follow-up. So when THR asked how she felt about the Furiosa prequel, she said it was “a tough one to swallow.”

“Yeah, it’s a little heartbreaking, for sure. I really love that character, and I’m so grateful that I had a small part in creating her. She will forever be someone I think of and reflect on fondly. Obviously, I would love to see that story continue, and if he feels like he has to go about it this way, then I trust him in that manner. We get so hung up on the smaller details that we forget the thing that we emotionally tap into has nothing to do with that minute thing that we’re focusing on.”

Miller has said that he'd also like to helm a direct sequel to Fury Road at some point, so there's always a chance Theron will get the chance to rejoin Tom Hardy's Road Warrior for another adventure down the line.

The Furiosa spinoff is only in a very early stages of development (Miller has yet to begin shooting Three Thousand Years of Longing with Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba), so we're probably going to be waiting a while for official casting news. Both Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The New Mutants) are rumored to be in the running, however.

A Vancouver-based film critic says he saw one of these new sneak peeks at a Canadian movie theaters over the weekend, and that it included "some new Red Guardian fight scenes" and "footage fleshing out them as a 'family.'" That doesn't sound overly exciting, but one of the reasons fans love Marvel Studios is because they don't give everything away in the trailers. 

Still, with the news cycle slow right now (particularly in regards to upcoming releases), anything would be appreciated, even if it's just a few new snippets of Black Widow we haven't seen before. 

Time will tell whether these are going to be released online, but it seems likely. After all, not a lot of people will want to return to theaters to catch it on the big screen with everything going on right now.

A lot of people have understandably decided to revisit both movies in recent weeks, and some eagle-eyed viewers have now picked up on an apparent nod to the Fastest Man Alive. 

During the masquerade ball that Bruce and Selina Kyle both attend, an extra can be seen in the background who is quite clearly dressed up as the Jay Garrick version of the Flash. He even has a partner wearing a hood and red mask, a costume which appears to be a nod to Jesse Quick.

Chances are director Tim Burton included this because he's a fan of the Golden Age Flash, or it could even be that one of the sequel's costumers decided it would be a fun Easter Egg to include. Whatever the case may be, it's certainly a more noteworthy Easter Egg than before, especially with Keaton's Dark Knight set to debut in the DC Extended Universe courtesy of The Flash.

In that book, five assassins find themselves on a fast moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They then discover their missions are not unrelated to each other, and the question becomes who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station?

No other cast members have been revealed yet, but Fear Street's Zak Olkewicz is penning the screenplay, while Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer), who was originally directing, is on board to produce. 

Leitch is overseeing revisions on the screenplay, and the hope is that shooting will begin this fall. The movie is reportedly a "contained thriller," meaning it can be shot on a contained set rather than on location, something which will help a lot given the restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There's no word on a release date at this point, but it seems likely that we'll see it late next year or in early 2022 depending how quick the shoot is. Still, with Pitt now attached to star, it's clearly a project we can expect attract some big names. What many fans will now wonder, however, is whether the actor could next choose to board a major superhero franchise after working on Bullet Train...

Now, a synopsis for Godzilla vs Kong: Godzilla Dominion has been released, and as well as shedding some light on what fans can expect from the graphic novel when it's released, it also sheds a little light on what will happen when these two behemoth's clash on the big screen again. 

"A unique story that picks up after the events of the film Godzilla: King of the Monsters, where the Titans have risen and the reign of Godzilla has begun," it reveals. "As told entirely from Godzilla's point of view, the graphic novel brings new insights into the King of the Monsters: His habitats, ancient rivalries, challenges, and encounters with new Titans. As his new era of dominance is tested, and a coming confrontation with another king looms."

Clearly, after Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla really did start ruling over Earth's monsters, but with Kong clearly about to leave his home on Skull Island, his reign will end up being challenged. 

The prequel comic for Kong will obviously be more interesting in some ways as decades will have passed in the MonsterVerse since we last saw him by the time Godzilla vs. Kong kicks off next year.

The first part of The Sandman will be available on Audible from July 15, and also stars Justin Vivian Bond as Desire, Kat Dennings as Death, Miriam Margolyes as Despair, Michael Sheen as Lucifer, Andy Serkis as Mathew the Raven, and Taron Egerton as John Constantine.

Johnson teamed with Niantic and The Pokémon Company to hype the upcoming Pokémon Go Fest which takes place virtually later this month. 

"Pokémon Go has kept me engaged with my friends remotely as I've been practicing physical distancing these past few months," Johnson said, addressing his love of the game. "As a longtime Pokémon trainer, it was a real pleasure working with Niantic on this spot."

"It was a new experience for me to direct a production remotely, and I enjoyed the highly collaborative process and think we put together a fun and upbeat commercial that fans will enjoy."

Apparently, Johnson actually directed the cast and crew of this commercial in New Zealand from his home in Los Angeles, and collaborated with teams from Niantic and The Pokémon Company in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, London, and Tokyo. That's an impressive feat, and it should definitely get fans excited for the event which takes place on July 25th - 26th.

Something which should help with that is this newly revealed piece of concept art by Christian Alzmann. Shared on his Instagram account, it reveals a piece created in 2013 when The Force Awakens was still in the very early stages of development at the Disney-owned Lucasfilm. 

"Luke was being described as a Col. Kurtz type hiding from the world in a cave," he explains. 

Ultimately, Luke would have only a single scene in The Force Awakens, and no dialogue, a decision many have criticised a sit robbed fans of the chance to see him, Han, and Leia reunited at last.

Now, The Direct has shared a report in which they credit "a reliable source with industry knowledge" for the news that a Constantine movie is in the works at Warner Bros. 

Bad Robot will reportedly serve as the production company, while J.J. Abrams himself is attached as producer. They note that, "The film will have a similar feel and tone to Bad Robot's other current upcoming projects, which include the Justice League Dark HBO Max show as well as the Zatanna movie."

There's no word on whether this is a reboot/sequel which will bring back Keanu Reeves as Hellblazer, or whether the plan is to start from scratch. Either way, you have to believe this will be linked to Justice League Dark in some way, shape, or form, as it would be strange for Abrams to be in charge of multiple versions of the same characters. 

For the time being, we're just going to have to wait and see, but this news is bound to be welcomed by fans anxious to see more of John Constantine in a live-action setting (though he does currently have a leading role in Legends of Tomorrow on The CW courtesy of Matt Ryan).

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., July 06, 2020 -- Through a groundbreaking joint venture between Genius Brands International ("Genius Brands") and Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment, an agreement has been struck to create Stan Lee Universe. Stan Lee Universe will assume worldwide rights, in perpetuity, to the name, physical likeness, physical signature, live-action and animated motion picture, television, online, digital, publishing, comic book, merchandising and licensing rights to Stan Lee and his IP creations past, present, and going forward. 

In announcing the deal today, Andy Heyward, Chairman & CEO of Genius Brands, said that, "In all of Hollywood, there is no greater prize. This is the Holy Grail. Stan Lee Universe is a once in a lifetime asset drawn from over 100 original, heretofore unexploited properties, created by the most successful creator of intellectual property of our time."

Jointly owned and subject to due diligence and documentation, the deal will leave Genius Brands as the managing and controlling partner of the Stan Lee Universe joint venture.

Stan Lee was the creator of the most successful characters ever made, including Spiderman, Iron Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, X Men, Thor, Captain America, Ms. Marvel,  Silver Surfer, Antman, Nick Fury, Guardians of the Galaxy, and of course the #1 movie box-office franchise of all time, The Avengers.  For decades, Stan was the editor and creative force behind Marvel Comics, which was sold to the Walt Disney Company for $4.4 billion and has since proved to be worth many multiples of that amount. 

In addition to the #1 movie box office hit, Avengers Endgame, Stan Lee created two of the Walt Disney Company’s top three blockbusters, and five of the top 12 grossing movies of all time. 

"It’s almost impossible to conceive that one mind created all this wealth," said Heyward. "The spinoffs alone defy the imagination.  From animated television, to toys, apparel, video games, and every conceivable licensed product imaginable, Stan Lee characters populate the screens and retail shelves worldwide. There is no creator who has influenced pop culture and created more successful entertainment. Not even Walt Disney. Over and over, again and again, he created characters and stories that resonated in the hearts and minds of all peoples of all ages around the world, with billions and billions and billions of dollars of motion picture box-office, television, and consumer product licensing."

Stan Lee Universe will be built from the repository of all of the characters and IP created by Stan Lee, post-Marvel Entertainment, not otherwise elsewhere.  It is drawn from over 100 original Stan Lee creations, from which it will develop and license approximately seven properties per year.
