An attic was on fire this morning in Punavuori, Helsinki, just around the corner from our home. The police closed the street and I wasn't able to get any closer. I should have taken another lens with me. No one was hurt. They had to rip of quite of a bit of the roof to get to the fire.

Bonfire at the Finlandia Midnight Sun Festival 2009. This picture was taken sometime around midnight. Nice festival, a lot of vodka and very little food for vegetarians.

Reclaim the Streets

I was "attending" the reclaim the streets -happening. Actually I was a bit late, but still. Afterwards it started to rain like never before. Luckily there's a nice pub quite close. Oh, motorcycle polices are always cool.

Today we went to Seurasaari and saw a lot of birds and this really friendly squirrel. One over friendly bird was there too, it followed us flying from tree to tree a long way.
