      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently moved into an office space at The Custard Factory and now share a space with the fabulous <a href="http://www.7inch.org.uk" title="7 Inch Cinema">7 Inch Cinema</a> and <a href="http://www.flatpackfestival.org.uk/09/" title="Flatpack Film Festival">Flatpack Festival</a> crew! 
</p>
<p>
They just uploaded a quirky slow motion clip I made whilst testing out the slow motion capabilities of the Sony Z5 HDV video camera. It&#8217;s a pretty cool function on the camera allowing you to record 200fps in bursts of 3, 6 and 12 seconds! The camera records into its own memory at a slightly lower res than SD then records back to HDV&#8230; The quality still looks pretty good&#8230;

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My good friend Mr Ben Lister recently completed an incredible music video for &#8216;Bloodface&#8217; by <a href="www.myspace.com/lisalilund" title="Lisa Li-Lund">Lisa Li-Lund</a>. Inspired by traditional Greek folklore he uses beautifully handmade puppets and detailed sets to weave the dark tale of love, betrayal and retribution!

The <a href="http://www.ikon-gallery.co.uk/programme/current/gallery/299/giuseppe_penone/" title="Ikon">Ikon</a> are currently holding a major exhibition of his work which runs until 19th July.

      <description><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://www.ikon-gallery.co.uk/" title="Ikon Gallery">Ikon Gallery</a> in Birmingham currently has two fantastic exhibitions running. With genius work from the playful and inventive <a href="http://www.ikon-gallery.co.uk/programme/current/event/285/some_words_some_more_words/" title="Wood &amp; Harrison">Wood &amp; Harrison</a> and in contrast a selection of prints by wood engraver <a href="http://www.ikon-gallery.co.uk/programme/current/event/284/talepieces/" title="Thomas Bewick">Thomas Bewick</a> (1753 - 1828).

About a month ago I went to visit and create the current <a href="http://www.ikon-gallery.co.uk/programme/current/gallery/284/talepieces/" title="Ikon documentary">Ikon documentary</a> with Iain Bain, art historian and authority on Bewick.

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Over the last few days I&#8217;ve been shooting and editing various video elements for the third outing of the interactive hotel performance piece &#8216;Black Tonic&#8217;, devised by <a href="http://www.theotherwayworks.co.uk/category/black-tonic/" title="The Other Way Works">The Other Way Works</a>.

I&#8217;ve been collaborating on Black Tonic since its starting point over a year ago and it&#8217;s great to see how it has evolved during that time!&nbsp;

So far it&#8217;s piloted in London, had an incredible run in Manchester and over the next couple of weeks will take place at the Raddisson hotel in Birmingham. It&#8217;s also picked up a ton of good reviews such as this one in the <a href="http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/theatre-dance/reviews/black-tonic-the-place-hotel-manchester-1034908.html" title="Independent">Independent</a>.

Tonight sees the launch of the <a href="http://www.flatpackfestival.org" title="3rd Flatpack festival!">3rd Flatpack festival!</a> You might be forgiven for thinking it&#8217;s a geeky furniture festival sponsored by Ikea but no Flatpack is actually one of the finest film festivals in Britain, the creation of <a href="http://www.7inch.org.uk" title="7Inch Cinema">7Inch Cinema</a> and will be bringing a hours of cinematic delights to the city of Birmingham over the next five days! The launch tonight is at Birmingham Town Hall with the <a href="http://www.flatpackfestival.org/09/festival/event/curzonora" title="Curzonora">Curzonora</a> performance from my old pals <a href="http://blog.primeobjective.co.uk/index.php/poblog/post/out_of_babel_on_vimeo//category//order/date" title="The Destroyers">The Destroyers</a>, their 15 piece energetic performance will be set against a range of films originally shown by showman <a href="http://www.flatpackfestival.org/09/festival/event/curzonora" title="Waller Jeffs">Waller Jeffs</a> back in the early 1900s!

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Way back in March last year I shot stills for a feature film called <a href="http://blog.primeobjective.co.uk/index.php/poblog/post/special_people/category//order/datecategory/all/order/date" title="Special People">Special People</a>, directed by Justin Edgar on location in the Malvern hills. 
</p>
<p>
It&#8217;s now set to do a short tour of cinemas throughout England, including Birmingham&#8217;s <a href="http://www.theelectric.co.uk/" title="Electric Cinema">Electric Cinema</a> 24th November! I was stood right next to the 16mm film camera on a lot of the shots so looking forward to actually seeing the finished film!
