I was stationed at the SoCo Social tent which was rammed with wild audiences the entire weekend! A week later and I have just about recovered from the Rockness!

Below are a couple of my favourite moments from the festival…

I remember seeing him perform a year or two back under the Artists Valley banner with the film below showing. Can’t quite remember but I think it may have been part of one of the early Flatpack Festivals…

They do various themes from Clowns to Heavy Metal fans! This time it’s Metal fans and here I am in an old Napalm Death t-shirt bought at a gig during my teenage years!

The piece coincides with a Birmingham project called Home Of Metal, celebrating the rich musical heritage the Midlands has within the metal genre, such as the major influence bands like Black Sabbath and Napalm Death have had on the music over the years.

A man who in his prime, during the early sixties was one of the most influential guitarists around and is set in stone as possibly the best British guitarist ever to go down in history. I found out he died a few days back and feel quite sad that this legendary man has departed. RIP Davy Graham.

A cyclist performing on a drum kit which attaches perfectly to his upturned bike, basically a mobile drum kit. Rocking out beats in the middle of Kings Cross he both looked and sounded the bomb.

I didn’t have time to chat with him but after a bit of internet hunting I’ve tracked him down on Myspace!

Got back from Ibiza early hours of yesterday morning where I’d been since last Friday when I photographed a special SoCo Social event with a street performance from the Hot 8 Brass Band in the centre of San Antonio then onto the main party at Kanya Bar. Spent the rest of the time chilling out on the beach and enjoying my Birthday celebrations!

John Humphries directed, I assisted him with direction and was on camera duties using the widely discussed Red One Camera, shooting 120 FPS in low light conditions using available light proved tricky but somehow we pulled it off.

One of the most tiring but funnest shoots I’ve ever worked on! Been so eager to see John’s final edit and here it is!
