Hi there everyone! Lance is back! I’m going to run another show, it’s been a long break. School is fun!
This one is going to be all about the Left 4 Dead 2 Demo. Stories, thoughts on the new content, etc. For those of you who have pre-ordered it like me, yay for you! As for the rest of you, the demo is now out so you’ll have time to try it out. As usual use the BIG GREEN BUTTON! Guest hosts still have to be chosen, but I think you can guess who one of them will be. So start sending them in!

P.S. This is open to console people as well…yeah. Feel free to send stuff in.

With the latest Halo title out, everyone who isn’t dropping into firefight is probably fighting their way through online matchmaking. One of the more recent maps that have come out that is a definite fan favorite is Heretic: the remake of Midship from Halo 2. With the drop of ODST, we quickly wrapped up some unfinished business with Halo Wars and did a quick guide for the last 8 levels of Halo Wars. I think GLewis and I decided on “Tank-and-Spank” as our strategy, while AceofSpadesCard shook his head in disbelief and Lance continued to complain about the play value of Halo Wars as an RTS. We covered the levels in order of course since we didn’t have many submissions at all: Ander’s Signal, The Flood, Shield World, Cleansing, Repairs, Beachhead, Reactor and Escape. So Halo Wars campaign is done for now. We may visit the multiplayer someday (if we ever stop imagining and drooling over Reach). Enjoy.

ODST is here and we are all excited what Bungie brought us in their latest. Campaign is a blast, and Firefight just makes it that much better. This was big for us, which explains why we have 4 guests hosts for this week: Amplified Silence, ChuckieJ, Captain Planet, and a new guest slayerstuv. We discuss the back story, the campaign and a little bit of Firefight, but we are still saving some for later. CAUTION: There are some spoilers in here if you have not played through the whole campaign. You have been warned. Enjoy.

ODST is just around the corner and we are hyping it up here at Podtacular. We had the chance to catch up on all the random frags in our inbox, and proceeded to talk about everything we are expecting from ODST. Our guest, Amplified Silence, happened to be at MLG Dallas and got to play Firefight as well. We also had a Podtacular first where we let guests come on the show and express their opinions on ODST. While at Dallas, we got to play some Firefight and some of the new Halo 3 Mythic Multiplayer maps. The man in charge of the whole thing is Chad “Shishka” Armstrong, Bungie employee who let us get in on a little Firefight action and a chance to play Heretic, the Midship remake from Halo 2. We had the opportunity to sit down with Shishka for 90 minutes and put his mind to our daring questions, one especially from Brent, but I shall digress. We had a few guests come in and out of the show, including Podtacular’s own Redot. Lots of interesting things especially right before the launch. Enjoy

Back from hiatus, I’m finally getting around to the multitudes of recordings that happened two weeks ago. If you attended the shows live, then you’ll know what happened already, but for those who didn’t, you’re in for a treat. First thing we have here is a recording we did at Brent’s apartment that swerved so much as to make us wonder if it’s worthy to be an episode. In light of what happened, we are just going to release this as an extra recording, not necessarily fitting anywhere. You’ll hear us say that it’s the first MLG Live show, but after what happened and the fact that GLewis and Brent were playing Halo, it’s not the official first episode. You’ll also get to hear Brent’s roommates chime in and out of the conversation. Episode 202 will be out later today and 203 will be out on Tuesday. Enjoy

Around The Ring is back! Finally! Once again we’re late on the post, and once again it’s all Dust Storms’ fault. This week we continue the streak of terrible audio with the loss of my headset, and debate the pros and cons of Computers and Consoles as gaming platforms. Guess what the deciding factor was? Dropping in to guest host from Respawn Radio is Lono (pronounced “lawno”), Facehead from the Podtacular community, and everyone’s returning favorite: TheCrazyCommie! It was quite an episode, and made for a good start. As well you get the hear the new theme which…uh…well…hopefully you’ll like it more than I did!
