Arguably this years most important podcasting event, first time in the podcasting history, a top-tier media company, CNN Turk, a joint venture between CNN International and Dogan Media Group in Turkey, started to podcast all of its 30+ original programming on internet.

The programs can be obtained in audio and video format using different RSS feeds from here, also from itunes.

The credit goes to Serdar Kuzuloglu and the rest of CNN Turk team to realise this bold move.

1) 2005 was the year of audio podcasting, 2006 will be the year of internet video. All sorts of video content (video podcasting, user generated media, viral videos, studio-professional content) aggregators and destination sites and producers will be the center of attention.

2) Subcription models won’t work and ad-supported models will be emerged.

3) From 2nd quarter, itunes users will be downloading ad supported version of “Lost” or “Desperate House Husbands” for your ipod. The ads will selected dynamically using your demographic information on itunes. (Gender, Age, Location, Recommendation Engine results using your past subscriptions and spending habits)

4) From 3rd quarter, you will be downloading ad supported version Full Screen-High Definition version of “Lost” or “Desperate House Wifes” to your Media Center. The video will be encoded in H.264 aka AVC. No DRM attached to the file, because users name shall be stamped at the bottom of screen.

5) From 4th quarter, you will be downloading ad supported version of HD “Personalized” ZNN News to your Media Center. The personalized version shall cover the areas of your interest and it will highlight your keywords, the scroll bars will contain the stock quotes of your portfolio.
