Pristine smile on your stern face
A piece of bread to a starving child
Tiny bird in the cloud of hopelessness
Like her love that seldom gets wild

Happiness comes like a trance.

Lonely road,

from where do you come

Where do you go?

Take me with you

Sun is beating so hard

And I am feeling so low;

Lonely road,

you are looking so gloomy

I’m feeling pensive too

I want my escape

From this obscure-

Be my guide and take me through;

Lonely road,

take me to the place

Where all my memories are

My root, quiet childhood

Hills covered by green

I’ve come so long so far...

Lonely road,

friendless I am, like you

Alone on a lonely roam

Be my only friend

Walk on with me

Take me back home.

We Are The Believers

We are the believers- believe in the power of God
Promised land of heaven, blaze of vicious hell
We apotheosize the saints, respect the priests
Hold our extreme hopes to the ethereal illusion.

We believe this universe is created by Him
Who made all the lawful rules of life, death and beyond that -
Beautiful earth to live in, beauty of being gracious and pure
We believe in Holy Scripture, believe in clemency-

Yet these beliefs cannot touch the rope of a hangman
Knife of a stabber and- brutal killings of innocent people
Melting truth, burning lies, provocation of getting profane
In our nakedness of pretension we still believe - The God!?

Where is our God? Is He sleeping and letting us play?
Screams of priests and preachers don't make any sense
Our hearts are full with black desires - prayers are so dry
Sufferers are suffering and we believe they need to suffer more...

The slaves, the empty-bellied, the helpless, victims of injustice
Their bloods are flowing, dying like they never existed -
They too believe in some God, pray with utter indulgence
But only fail to realize in the misery- they are also human beings.

We the believers of unseen, don't see what is there to see
We the believers of our misery, exhausted by our own fateful burden
No more, we'll pray and weep;
No suffering, no bleeding, no gasping for air
Now we shall believe in ourselves
Our power will break the door of heaven
We will break the window bars and burn the injustice
Fresh air for everyone - a new law of life;
We are the believers -
We'll search our own God within ourselves.

The sun rises to set down

Time rushes with timeless crown

Behind my loneliness I peer

Desolation brings the pensiveness

No smile on my pale face

Your thoughts roam in my sphere

How I wish you were here

Interminable these days of mine

Oneirism takes me to cloud nine

But this dream is so very queer

Only I wish you were here

Under the shadow of my battered tree

I write for you silently

Feelings mix with a shed of tear

I wish you were here

Evening breeze passes by

Dreamy memories fly high

Imagining your face so clear

I wish you were here

Tragic end of a fairy tale

No queen, no nightingale

Sometimes loneliness is fear

Desolate dark night

Continual fall of rain,

I’m standing alone

With my tears mingled pain.

A distant star is watching me

Witnessing my life of desertion,

Sleepless night continues to cry

I’m dwelling in absolute dejection.

Blank eyes stare indifferently

Trying to interpret life’s scrawl,

Strange vacuum in my heart

A doomed life is ready to fall.

Dark - blind rainy night

Every hope has died,

All alone in a crowded world

Wishing for a place to hide.

Dream wakes, again

To live, to comfort, to survive

In a quandary of faith

Tears mixing smiles

Begins a new journey

Nor for that I really do care
But then in your magical hue
My every insanity looks so fair;

Like waves rush towards the shore
Moon's attraction for the earth

I can burn all despicable woes

Deep in my veins your love flows;

Holds perfection in every moment

Seal my fate with your conclusion.

Myth of Life

Thinking alone in the night

Is there any way to find solace for everyone?

Where rain means joy to all

They don’t have to find shelter

Under one cracked roof

Day brings pleasure

They don’t need to grind life

Under the scorching sun

Evening would be calm

And money would be enough

To feed the empty stomach

Hunger wouldn’t talk in the middle of the night;

There are people running with the money

And playing of course-

Lack the options to spend them

They have houses where they never visit

And money what they never use.

Then there are intellectuals

Who find solutions for an equal world -

In a large conference hall

And there are poets like me

Who voice their words –

In some isolated poetry;

But in the end,

These words are far from reality

Revolution comes only in dreams

In the pages of books-

Man still moans in hunger

Youth still yells in anger

Child chases a frolicking dog

And that woman is still busy

Cleaning your dirty stuff.

Thus life goes
Balancing between modesty and vanity
Thus poem flows.

Hearing my voice and holding my pen
Writing my thoughts again and again
Life teaches its facts in a hard way
Present in my mind as thoughts' bouquet

All the poems I've ever written
Those lines of conscience-smitten
Still love you that much like before
And I keep looking for more and more

Bedazzled between dreams and reality
As time grows
Determining to clear evil with morality
As word flows.

Following own withering footstep

Waiting perpetually for the miracle

Looking for a thankful escape.

Burdened by own grief and sorrow

Crowded days and lonely nights

Desperation for happiness to borrow

Wounded sternly by the inner fights.

Numb of carrying a dead soul

Virtue wins in a different story

Heading towards a lifeless goal

Filling heart with ageless worry.

Lost the meaning of right and wrong

Become a machine in this mechanical age

Forgot the root from where I belong

Living blindfolded in a dubious cage.

I keep on falling time and again.
Like yellow dried out leaves,
Touching the ground in complete disdain.

My erroneous muddiness
Rotting peace and digress
Pull me down in reprise
Every time I want to rise.

And I keep on watching in emptiness.

Inside the shield there's no joy
A dead soul lies there
A sleepy frozen river
And few indifferent memories to enjoy.

Beneath the husk there lays me
Like a stranger, so cold and numb
After the battle, it's so cool & calm
Ugly face of fallen bravery.

Inside this carcass there's nothing & none
No shame; no fear; no sense at all
Nowhere to look at, no one to call
In this meekness, I am the fun.

Underneath the shroud-, few tear drops
A blank life, a rotten fate
Your search ends here and you get
Lying solemnly my stinking corpse.

In the midst of concrete jungle
Where dreams live, life tangles
I hunt for a spot with my finesse
Where I can see life's axenic face.

Where there is calmness of heartstrings
Melodies of birds - joy they bring
A feeling free from poisonous brace
How lovely would be my loneliness!

Yet life exhibits its cruel act
A Fallen race' dismal facts
A belief of mine lacks the space
No place for Eden on earth's base.

Blood of a cruelly slaughtered lamb
Perplexed smile of a civilized sham
Sudden death of a delicate reverie
Tearful eyes read life's theory

Sadness always has living face
Life tends to wear solitary dress
Occult shadow of my fortune tree
There, I find myself bleeding silently.
