<p>The third webinar in our <strong><em>POLIMP Webinar Series</em></strong> took place on the 28th of October with a discussion on the topic: <strong>“EU climate policy for 2030: why are we talking about governance?<span class="GramE">”</span></strong>. The 3<sup>rd</sup> POLIMP Webinar explored the current state of play regarding proposals for a new EU climate and energy governance framework for 2030, providing viewers with the context needed to better understand the debate. The discussion reflected on the main issues at stake, debate the potential effectiveness of measures proposed and highlighted both opportunities and challenges going forward.</p>

<p>The second webinar in our <b><strong>POLIMP Webinar Series</strong></b> took place on 16 September 2015 with a discussion on the topic:  “<b><strong>Reform of the EU ETS: Making it fit for 2030</strong></b>”.  The 2<sup>nd</sup> POLIMP Webinar explored the recent legislative proposal for a revision of the EU emissions trading system (EU-ETS) adopted by the European Commission and what impact the reforms could have on the EU meeting it’s 2030 Climate and Energy targets.</p>

<p>The new POLIMP Webinar Series was launched on the 7th of July 2015 with a discussion on the topic: “Paris 2015: lessons from the Copenhagen experience?”. The 1<sup>st</sup> POLIMP Webinar explored what lessons could be drawn from the experience of the negotiation process towards the 2009 Copenhagen climate summit – which did not deliver the desired new global climate treaty &#8211; for a success of this year’s conference COP21 in Paris, which is aiming to adopt a new agreement for the time after 2020.</p>
