It brings all kind of participants on the field into single issue, where thoughts and ideas are presented as essays, project publications, interviews. Each issue addresses the specific topic, thus each magazine becomes coherent. In Urbanism, there’s no single point of view to the subject, there are different subjects and there are diverse types of practice. Nevertheless, (hopefully) there are common ideas, problems and beliefs we all share right now. For the next year and four Atlantis issues, prospective editorial team of Atlantis and POLIS would like to focus on these common questions, which concerns all of us, hence making room for discussion, giving voice to diverse actors within the field of urbanism and beyond. Therefore we would like to invite you to ATLANTIS 2012/13 editorial game (or, more precise, play). You are asked to come up with the idea for contribution in magazine (essay, project publication, interview or any other form which can be published) and give it a title. In a workshop, groups will be formed, equally spreading participants with different background asking to come up with a common editorial topic for prospective issue of ATLANTIS, taking into account previously [...]

On the 16th of March Polis organises the small excursion again. The general themeof these two days will be: From quantitative growth to qualitative growth. Transformation of (public) space is constantly on the move. The useful space in the Netherlands is decreasing more and more, and the new possibilities of brand new developments are not so numerous anymore. Re-use is the keyword and improving the quality of what is already there becomes more attractive. How do we deal with this as Urbanists, taking the financial crisis into account. What are the latest projects in the netherlands related to this theme? Come along on our excursion in March and find out! More information will follow here soon
