Recently, Bill Maher hosted (another) gun control debate panel on his show, “Real Time”, with guests including Micheal Moore, among a few others.

As usual, most of the guests towed the typical gun control line – except for one lady, S.E. Cupp from MSNBC. At first, she is on the defensive with Moore, but when Maher sincerely asks, “Why has gun crime gone down in the age of less gun control?”, Miss Cupp takes this ball, runs with it, and quickly executes Michael Moore’s logic with reality and statistics.

As Maher says, “we can’t go by anecdotal evidence.” Indeed. Gun crime, and mass shootings in particular are down. Unfortunately, Moore never got that memo. Perhaps this taste of pwnage will help it sink in?

Tea Party hero, Rand Paul, after his famous 13 hour filibuster on the drone issue, has apparently had a change of mind. When using drones for political gain and generate buzz around his name in the Senate, yes drones are evil. But if you’re say, suspected of robbing a liquor store, well it’s time for some BOOM! Then Judge Napolitano gets in on the act. Hmm… what about drones for people in front of microphones delivering double talk and lying about things they had said in the past? Cenk Unger from The Young Turks breaks all the foolishness down for us.

Yup, you read that right. Jon Stewart tears the IRS a new one for specifically seeking out right wing government “patriot” groups to audit and basically says that the tinfoil hat folk have had their views just about totally vindicated.

As Stewart puts it, there’s not much more to say other than – “What the f**k? The right wingers were right.”

Check out the always brilliant Glenn Greenwald completely school Bill Maher on the nature of US imperialism, coupled with Maher’s ever-insistent fear-mongering over Islam.

In a very rare occurrence, Maher’s usual loud-mouthed and knee-jerk reactive retorts are DOA as it actually seems that Greenwald’s getting through Maher’s US-Imperialist/Almost-Islamophobia shell.

Yes, it’s Beck Week on Political Pwnage. Or is that Beck Weak? If I could analyse the bus-sized chalkboard I would, but I can’t, so I won’t. Even the master himself looks confused at points unsure of what his conspiracy doodles mean. Try to decipher the noise and if you can, let us know. We are still head scratching about exactly what he means.
