During the first few days of October, we announced our fundraising goal for the fourth quarter: $12 million raised by December 31.

But there's more: we need to have spent it by then, too.

If we were to raise the entire $12 million in the last week of December, we would meet our fundraising goal for the quarter. But Ron Paul would stand little chance of winning the Republican nomination, because that money would have come in too late.

Time is of the essence. You see, we need to raise money well before we plan to spend it. That's because most of the expenditures that we make need to be paid for weeks in advance. For example, we need to buy crucial airtime for the end of December right now.

The sooner we raise this money, the sooner that we can spread Dr. Paul's message - our message - in the early primary states. Time truly is money.

Fact is, we only have about two weeks to raise money for the early primaries.

If you wait a month from now to donate, your money will only be spent after Iowa caucus-goers and New Hampshire primary voters have made up their minds.

We are rapidly running out of time. The Iowa caucus is just 44 days away. New Hampshire is in 49 days. With so much ground to make up, we can't afford to waste a single day.

As a result, we are spending faster than the rate at which we are raising money. In October alone, we raised $2.8 million, but our campaign spent over $3.1 million.

We cannot afford to wait for bursts of press activity. What we need is sustained attention in the news. What better way to do this than by continuing to raise money at a rapid pace now? We need to keep our momentum going.

Help us win in New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina, and Nevada.

Make your most generous contribution as soon as you can: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate

Radio, even in the age of the Internet, remains a highly effective way to reach people. But to be effective, radio ads must be played numerous times each day, for many days in a row -- and that takes a lot of money.

The Ron Paul 2008 campaign now has four 60-second radio ads. These ads were specifically created to introduce Dr. Paul to millions of Americans who know little about him. We know Dr. Paul well. But most Americans do not.

Our latest radio ad explains why Ron Paul is unique. The feedback from this ad is very positive. But for the ad to be effective, it has to be broadcast over and over again.

Dr. Paul is moving up in the polls. That's due in part to the four radio ads we've been airing in New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina and Nevada.

But to maintain the momentum, we need to keep our ads playing several times a day, every day, for the next two months.

Listen to our latest ad. And then donate today so we can buy more air time.

The ads are working. Keep the momentum going.

Amazing! I have to admit being floored by the $4.2 million dollars you raised yesterday for this campaign. And unlike the fatcat operations of the opposition, the average contribution from our 36,672 donors was $103.

I say "you raised," because this historic event was created, organized, and run by volunteers. This is the spirit that has protected American freedom in our past; this is the spirit that is doing so again.

Some of the mainstream media have sat up and taken notice. Others have pooh-poohed our record online fundraising. But the day is coming--far faster than they know--when they will not be able to ignore our freedom revolution.

We are working hard, with you, to spread our message far and wide-in New Hampshire, in South Carolina, in Iowa, and in every other state with a primary. And people are listening.

As you and I know, there is hope for America-in liberty and peace, and the prosperity they bring. There is hope for America--in a sound dollar, the rule of law, and the Constitution. There is hope for America--in a people's revolution that brings us all together, of whatever race and age and background.

What momentum we have! Please help me keep it up. As you and I know, and our opponents are only suspecting, we have Success on our minds, and in our hearts.

Freedom! Surely it is worth all our hard work. Please help me continue to do that work, with your continuing support https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate

Without your help, this campaign would be dead in the water. Help us keep steaming towards victory.

Sincerely,

Ron

Is it possible to comprehend what we've done today? Earth-shattering, jaw-dropping... No matter which way you phrase it, Ron Paul is for real.

Over $3,800,000 raised.

More than 35,000 total donations.

1 message - and 1 candidate - unlike any other.

Can we keep our momentum going? The most successful fundraising day ever is John Kerry's $5.7 million. And that was on the day he accepted the Democratic nomination.

Let's do it: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate

What an incredible day to be a supporter of Ron Paul!

You have raised over $2 million so far today, putting us closer to our $12 million fourth quarter goal. This is more than any Republican has ever raised online in one day!

So far in 2008, the biggest day belongs to Mitt Romney. On January 8th, he raised just over $3.1 million. Will you help us beat Mitt Romney and raise more in one day than anyone has this year?

Please ensure Ron Paul's place in the record books with your most generous donation: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate. Tell your friends to donate today, too!

The time and money needed to elect the best president since George Washington and Thomas Jefferson are quickly running out.

The Time

New Hampshire could hold its primary as early as December 11. Iowa is set for January 3, with Wyoming, Michigan, Nevada, South Carolina and Florida scheduled soon thereafter. And Super Tuesday (20 states) will be on February 5.

The Money

Dr. Paul is frugal with taxpayers' money and with donors' money. When other campaigns spend $5, we spend $1. When John McCain had 120 staff members, we had 15. The New York Times reported five days ago that Hillary Clinton now has "a campaign staff of about 500 people." We now have 58.

Frugality goes a long way. But frugality doesn't erase the need for us to spend millions of dollars to win. Our country is enormous, and most Americans - even Americans who regularly vote in the primaries - have never heard of Ron Paul, let alone know what he stands for.

And that's where the $12 million goal for this quarter comes in. A few days ago, we wrote a check for $897,695 to broadcast several different TV ads in New Hampshire alone. That's nearly $1 million to broadcast just TV ads in just one state.

And then there's Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, South Carolina... So as you can see, it won't take long before our $5 million in the bank will be gone.

We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and we have little time to seize it.

Washington. Jefferson. Paul.

It's up to us. Make your most generous donation today. https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate

Discover what Ron Paul has done as a congressman. Imagine what he will do as president.

When health freedom advocates need a congressman to fight against attempts to restrict access to dietary supplements, they turn to Dr. Ron Paul. Dr. Paul is the leader in Washington who is not afraid to fight the powerful special interests that want to limit access to dietary supplements.

When Dr. Paul learned the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was trying to censor truthful health claims by supplement manufacturers, he introduced the Health Freedom Protection Act (H.R. 2117).

"The Health Freedom Protection Act will force the FDA to at last comply with the commands of Congress, the First Amendment, and the American people by codifying the First Amendment standards adopted by the federal courts. Specifically, the Health Freedom Protection Act stops the FDA from censoring truthful claims about the curative, mitigate, or preventative effects of dietary supplements, and adopts the federal court's suggested use of disclaimers as an alternative to censorship. The Health Freedom Protection Act also stops the FDA from prohibiting the distribution of scientific articles and publications regarding the role of nutrients in protecting against disease," Dr. Paul explained.

Our health freedom is also threatened by attempts to "harmonize" American laws with those of other countries, thus forcing Americans to live under European-style restrictions of dietary supplements. Dr. Paul worked to add language to the 1997 FDA Modernization Act forbidding the FDA from harmonizing our rules with those of any other nation.

The primary instrument of "harmonization" is the Codex Alimentarius Commission, a group of international bureaucrats who are developing "health care standards" for the United Nations and the World Trade Organization. The FDA is an enthusiastic participant in the Codex process.

When Dr. Paul learned the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) contained language that might facilitate the imposition of Codex's restrictive standards on American consumers, he informed his congressional colleagues of this danger with a series of letters. In addition, Dr. Paul sponsored several briefings on the issue.

More recently, Dr. Paul has shown how the FDA is working with its counterparts in Canada and Mexico on a Trilateral Cooperation charter that could "harmonize" regulation of dietary supplements among the three countries. Dr. Paul led a congressional inquiry into the Trilateral Cooperation, forcing the FDA to go on record about its involvement in the Trilateral charter.

As a congressman for 10 terms, Dr. Ron Paul has fought to protect your health freedom. Imagine what he will do as president.

The clock is ticking. And it is now ticking faster than anyone anticipated.

The New Hampshire primary could be held as early as December 11. Earlier this week, Iowa moved its caucus date to January 3. With these two key states having moved up their dates, we are running out of time fast; especially when you consider the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

So, we're now in full campaign mode. We just bought $430,000 of radio air time to introduce Ron Paul to voters in New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina and Nevada. That sounds like a lot of money, but that $430,000 will pay for only two weeks. That's right, almost a half million dollars for only two weeks of radio time in just four states.

You can see that the $5 million we have in the bank won't last for long; especially when you factor in money for the production and broadcast of high-quality TV ads.

We know Dr. Paul and what he stands for, but most Americans don't. That's why we will have to spend millions of dollars for radio and TV to introduce Dr. Paul and his message - our message - of freedom, peace and prosperity to millions of Americans for the first time. And we have little time to do it.

We've set a goal of raising $430,000 in three days. Will you help us?

Listen to our new radio ad and donate today. The campaign is in full swing. We have little time.

Please help us broadcast freedom from coast to coast. Go to http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ today.

Thank you!

October 17, 2007

The other day, my old sparring partner in so many Congressional committee hearings, Alan Greenspan, was on the Fox Business Channel. After Alan promoted his new book, the reporter asked if we really needed a central bank. Greenspan looked stunned, and then said that was a good question; he actually talked about fiat money vs. a gold standard. Now, the ex-Fed chairman is not about to endorse our sound monetary policy, but you know our Revolution is working when such a question is asked in the mainstream media, and this powerful man gives such an answer.

You and I are reopening a whole host of questions that the establishment thought it had closed off forever: on war, on taxes and spending, on inflation and gold, and on the rule of law and our Constitution.

A few years ago, I asked a famous conservative columnist a question. What did he think about the prospects for a restored Robert Taft wing of the Republican party? He thought I was joking. As you know, I was not.

After all the aggressive wars, the assaults on our privacy and civil liberties, the oppressive taxation, and the crazed spending and deficits, I believe that many Republican voters are ready to return to our roots. And the big boys feel it too. It is no coincidence that the Republican National Committee invited me to a fundraising dinner involving only "top-tier candidates."

Some of the opposition claims that I am not a "real Republican," whereas I am the only one in the race. And our campaign is registering new Republican voters by the boatload. None of my opponents is doing anything approaching that.

Of course, they pooh-pooh our success. "He's just registering Democrats and Independents and people who have never voted before." Well, yes. It's called growth. We are laying the groundwork for the primaries.

All over America, our support is wide and deep and growing, and young people are joining like never before. After the Dearborn debate, I went to the University of Michigan for a rally. 2,000 students turned out, something that has happened to no other candidate this year.

The crowd cheered all our ideas, but especially our opposition to the Federal Reserve, and our support for real money of gold and silver, as the Constitution mandates, instead of prosperity-wrecking fiat money. American politics hasn't seen anything like this in many decades. It is truly revolutionary.

But time is getting short. We must do massive radio and TV advertising, open many small offices (three in just South Carolina the other day), staff them, pay all the bills, and turn out our vote with massive organizational and phone-bank efforts.

As you know, the blackout is ending; our campaign is starting to get mainstream media attention, thanks to growing donations and volunteers. And contributions are the key to more attention, and to our being able to do the actual work of victory. Good news: our recent green-eyeshade analysis of all the candidates' net finances, which got so much press attention, shows our campaign as one of only three in the top-tier.

But we must keep moving up, and the Iowa caucuses are now on January 3rd. The New Hampshire primary may be in early December!

As always, everything depends on you. Please, make the most generous donation you can https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/ as soon as you can. I need your help so badly.

The other day, an 8-year-old boy handed me a small white envelope. It contained the $4.00 he had saved from his allowance, as a donation to our campaign. I can't tell you how seriously I take my responsibility to work hard, and spend frugally and effectively, to be worthy of his support, and yours.

Please help me keep working, even harder and more effectively, for all we believe in. Without you, I'd have to pack it in. Donate now https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/ . We have more than an election to win. We have a country to save.

Ron Paul

URGENT: We need your help with DC ballot access

We need registered Republicans in DC to step forward NOW, especially women, if we want to put Dr. Paul on the ballot. I just got off the phone with the DC Board of Elections and Ethics who told me we cannot pick up the ballot petitions until we file our 16 men and 16 women delegate candidates and alternate delegate candidates for Dr. Paul. We still need four men and 15 women. She also told me that the McCain campaign has already done so (the only one so far). Are we going to let him have much of a head start? No!

We still need five men and 15 women to step forward as Ron Paul delegate candidates or alternate delegate candidates or Dr. Paul will not be on the ballot in DC. If you were a registered Republican in DC before September, please step up to the plate.

If you already have your walking list for your precinct, please take a moment to read over the names of your neighbors and see if there's anyone else you could ask. If you need a list, please email me your ward and precinct information which you can find online here:

http://dcboee.org/voterreg/vic_step1.asp

I talked with the DC Board of Elections and Ethics today and the final, confirmed MINIMUM number of registered Republican signatures we need for our ballot petitions is 298. (In practice, we need two or three times that to compensate for errors or challenges.) As of today, there are 29,780 registered Republicans in the district. If we work together, that's not very many for each of us. I'm going to give out more guidance to those who have not yet taken the ballot petition circulating class at the DCBOEE to make sure we do this right.

Please help us fill out our slate!

Around the beginning of August, our campaign set a fundraising goal for the third quarter. We decided that we had to raise $5,000,000 by September 30th. At the time, we weren't sure we could meet that goal.

But meet it we did, thanks to you. And during the last week, Ron Paul received more press than he did during the previous nine months of our campaign.

Now it's the start of the final quarter of the primary season. We've set a goal again, and this time, we're letting everyone track our progress throughout the quarter - the first campaign in history to disclose immediately every cent that is raised.

Our fundraising target for the 4th quarter is $12,000,000.

Without a doubt, this won't be easy. But this goal is not optional.

Other campaigns spend frivolously. Some even pour millions of dollars of their own money into their campaigns. We do not have either of these luxuries.

This is a goal that we must meet if Ron Paul is to win the Republican nomination for President.

We all need to redouble our efforts. Please get us off to a great start this month by making your most generous donation now: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate

Then tell your friends, family - even people you don't know - about Ron Paul and our message of freedom. And don't forget to look for your name and watch Lady Liberty's torch light up after you make your donation: http://www.ronpaul2008.com

We only have one chance.

Take note of what you have done.

"Jaw-dropping." "Impressive." "Stunning."

Paul's "$5 million fundraising haul in the last three months...is forcing campaign observers to sit up and take notice."

"Paul's newfound clout was on full display Thursday afternoon, when he sat down with CNN's Wolf Blitzer for an interview on the Situation Room."

Paul "emerges from quasi-anonymity to shock the political world with a $5 million quarterly fund-raising haul -- a figure the other GOP candidates ignore at their own peril."

These are just a few of the many such reactions by the media to the $5 million you raised for the Paul campaign last quarter. Note your accomplishment. Enjoy your success. Take a breath -- but not for long. Because our new goal for the fourth quarter is $12 million, and six days have already passed.

Remember at the end of last quarter how much publicity we received when we had more cash in the bank than John McCain? That $2.4 million got us $10 million worth of national publicity. But this quarter was even better. The $5 million you raised has already generated $20 million worth of publicity nationwide these last few days. And the news stories and interviews with Dr. Paul keep coming.

Our communications director Jesse Benton reported yesterday on the high number of television, radio and newspaper interviews there have been since we reported the $5 million quarter a few days ago. His list was long and extensive. Afterwards, he summed up by saying, "It's been our biggest day -- no question."

We've moved up a couple of steps. Not by luck, but by hard work. We've proven that Ron Paul's "just the Internet" support is real, and that we are doing what is necessary to win the Republican nomination. But we cannot let our recent success quiet our energy, focus or effort.

We are not finished. We have just started.

Ron is knocking on the door of Rudy, Mitt, John and Fred. Our job is to push that door open. And we have only 87 days to do it.

Paul Campaign Raises Over $5,000,000 In Third Quarter

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA - The Ron Paul 2008 presidential campaign raised $5,080,000 during the third quarter of 2007. That is an impressive 114 percent increase from the second quarter.

Cash on hand for the Paul campaign is $5,300,000.

"Dr. Paul's message is freedom, peace and prosperity," said Paul campaign chairman Kent Snyder. "As these fundraising numbers show, more Americans each day are embracing Dr. Paul's message."

Ron Paul's 114 percent increase is in stark contrast to the decrease suffered by Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain. Romney's fundraising was down 29 percent. Giuliani was down 40 percent. McCain was down 55 percent.

Our goal is to win.

We have 96 days, maybe less.

We have one shot.

*****

Yesterday afternoon, the Ron Paul 2008 staff came together to hear that message. I shared it with them then. I share it with you now.

Our goal is to win. Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination. Ron Paul becomes our next president.

We have 96 days, maybe less. The first contest will be January 5 in Wyoming. But Iowa will change its date to be earlier than Wyoming and New Hampshire will do the same. Michigan will hold its primary on January 15. South Carolina and Nevada are set for January 19, followed by Florida on January 29.

We have one shot. The time is right for this Ron Paul Revolution; there are many reasons why. But this opportunity we now hold in our hands will never come again.

The future of our nation lies with us, and with the people who will soon join this freedom movement.

We have the answer: freedom. We have the man: Ron Paul. We have each other.

We have what we need to win.

The Gun Rights Policy Conference will be held on October 5-7 at the Drawbridge Inn & Convention Center in Ft.
Mitchell, Kentucky near the Cincinnati, Ohio airport. Dr. Paul is scheduled to address the conference on Saturday, October 6th at 6:00 PM.

Ron Paul supporters are encouraged to attend and help educate gun owners about Dr. Paul's strong pro-gun record. This will also be a great opportunity for gun owners, and other supporters of freedom, to persuade the pro-gun "establishment" to drop their support for the gun control bill HR 2640.

As you may have known, Dr. Paul was the only member of Congress to oppose this dangerous new attack on our liberties, but national gun groups have joined with militant anti-gunners to promote it.

The Gun Rights Policy Conference is the perfect venue to hear the message of Dr. Paul and let other gun owners, and gun rights leaders how important it is to stop new gun control measures.

The Conference is free. You can register online ***ERROR*** (#malformed) ) by clicking on the graphic of the "Freedom's Future" graphic on that page or by registering at the event.

We encourage all Ron Paul supporters to join us at this important event.

Please spread the word!
