Walt Disney World Orlando’s New Fantasyland is now officially open!

The New Fantasyland includes a super-sized Dumbo attraction, a Little Mermaid dark ride, and a “Beauty and the Beast” dining and interactive area.  And there’s still more to come!

Cinderella doesn’t have the only castle now.  You and your family can now experience Prince Erik’s world from The Little Mermaid and the Beast’s castle from Beauty and the Beast.

The Beast’s castle features the much-anticipated “Be Our Guest Restaurant.”  Be sure to book your reservations early!  And just outside you can find Maurice’s cottage and “Enchanted Tales with Belle,” a storytelling experience where guests go to the Beast’s library to meet Belle and Lumiere.   There’s even Gaston’s tavern where guests can enjoy the LeFou’s Brew! It’s a no-sugar added frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow, topped with all-natural passion fruit-mango foam.  Yum!

In “Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid,” guests ride in shells and experience Ariel’s adventures. Then, in “Ariel’s Grotto,” those guests can meet the mermaid, get her autograph, and pose for photos.

There are also updates to the original Fantasyland attractions.   A second Dumbo Flying Elephants ride was added and there is also the newly created Storybook Circus where kids can play in an air conditioned area while their parents wait with a beeper to alert them it’s time to board.

In the future, New Fantasyland will include Princess Fairytale Hall — where fans can meet all of the princesses — and “The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train” which will take guests on a roller coast ride through Snow White’s friends’ train.

A week after the popular Nickelodeon show iCarly wrapped, the network announced a series pickup of an iCarly/Victorious spinoff series called Sam & Cat.

Sam & Cat will feature Jennette McCurdy (iCarly‘s Sam Puckett) and Ariana Grande (Victorious‘ Cat Valentine). The two will reprise their roles from their respective shows, but this time they’ll pair up as roommates and start their own babysitting business.

The news comes after November 23rd’s iCarly series finale, which drew 6.4 million total viewers. Victorious is set to end its three-season run sometime next year.

Production on Sam & Cat will begin in January and the new series will premiere sometime in 2013.  Stay tuned!
