Jessica and Lennon are two funny girls who met in college and became BFFs (best friends forever). Flash forward to present day, Jessica is served divorce papers and moves back to her old apartment in NY with Lennon and Lennon’s boyfriend, Joe. The show basically centers around Lennon trying to be there for her friend and boyfriend and Joe trying to be ok with this new living situation.

I love the show because the relationship Lennon and Jessica have is similar to the one I have with one of my BFFs. I even go to live with her and her husband for a bit the I know we annoyed him the way they annoy Joe. They are honest and funny. They even have a precocious 9 year old neighbor, Quenetta, who is always willing to give her opinion. I’ve already bought my iTunes season pass for this show and to get you in the mood here are some clips:

1. Jen and I are attending the Community panel tomorrow evening at the PaleyFest! Pop Pop!! Oh you bet your ass I’ll have my camera and smartphone ready and livetweeting! #sixseasonsandamovie

2. Comic-Con releasing the Kraken! Also known as the badge sales info – registration/sales will be available starting March 3 at 8:00AM PST. Let the chaos begin!

3. The Oscars was kind of a boring show, even with Billy Cyrstal as host. What’d you think? Jen didn’t even bother turning it on.

4. I’m headed to Blogalicious in September!

5. Jen went to Disneyland on Leap Day and lived to tell about it. I wished I could’ve been there too. It’s like Grad Night for Adults.

Up for Best Picture are:

• The Artist – I saw this and thought it was like a not-so-good version of Singin’ in the Rain.
• Moneyball – Saw this too and LOVED it. FYI – I hate baseball, and this movie made it so much more interesting. I thought Brad Pitt did an excellent job.
• Midnight in Paris – I don’t like Owen Wilson, so I didn’t watch this.
• Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close – Using a kid and 9/11 to pull my emotions? Well, I’m out.
• The Descendants – Oh Georgie! I really wanted to go see this. Jen saw it and loved it. (Then again, didn’t she also watch the Fame remake?)
• War Horse – Animal movie. No.
• The Help – I actually watched this and it didn’t suck.
• Hugo – WTF is Hugo? I still don’t know. I may never know.
• The Tree of Life – Is that like Disney’s tree of life at Animal Kingdom? I read it was long and boring.

My prediction: The Artist. Everyone likes black-and-white.

Up for Best Actor are:

• Brad Pitt – It took me years to like this guy. I think my dislike for him turned around in Spy Game and Fight Club. I thought he did a terrific job as what’s his name in Moneyball.
• Jean Dujardin – Um. I hated this guy in The Artist. Why would I want to empathize with an arrogant person?
• Gary Oldman – I think the first memory I had of Gary Oldman was when he played Dracula in Francis Ford Coppola’s movie.
• George Clooney – Again, didn’t see it, but Jen did and she said he was great in it.

My prediction: Jean Dujardin – everyone likes black-and-white.

Up for Best Actress are:

• Glenn Close – Didn’t see it but I like her in Damages. She is crazy in Damages.
• Viola Davis – I could see her winning. She gave a beautiful speech when she won the Golden Globe.
• Rooney Mara – Is it because she was naked in the movie?
• Meryl Streep – I liked The Iron Lady.
• Michelle Williams – Eh. If you play crazy, you tend to win.

My prediction: Meryl Streep – everyone likes black-and-white (I kid, I kid!) a sure thing.

Tune in tomorrow evening at 4PM PST on ABC. We’ll see how accurate my inaccurate predictions will be!

1. GRIMM – I think I know why the main actor bugs me. He looks like Brandon Routh/Daniel Shaw. I tried to sit through another episode last night, and I felt my interest continuing to wane. I ended up going to bed without finding out the end of the episode. That’s a sign.

2. Supernatural – No lie – I actually sat through an episode. (Almost.) I went into the kitchen to scrounge up some “dinner” and missed the entire ending. Great. I just wasted another 40 minutes to miss the last 5. I do like me some Jensen Ackles. As you know, his character’s name is Dean, which throws me off a little because Jared Padalecki’s character on Gilmore Girls was Dean. And while I was a fan of Dean on Gilmore Girls, I’m meh about Jared Padalecki. But I digress. The fact that the show has lasted so many seasons (what are they on? 12?) is a feat. They’re like One Tree Hill but good!

3. I’ve written a blog post about my new handbag on my personal blog. It’s THE ultimate brand in old lady fashion. I’m kidding – buy yourself a sense of humor, bag ladies. I too am a bag lady. I’ve been eyeing an LV for over a year, so I saved up my clams and blew it all on an LV Neverfull MM tote. I lurves it. This is going to be my MacGuyver handbag – doing triple duty as a purse, laptop/iPad bag and travel carry-on. So, in my defense, it’s like three handbags in one. MacGuvyer bag, see?

4. Shows I’ve lost interest in this season: Ringer; Pan Am; and Chuck. I love SMG, but it’s really hard to watch that daughter storyline. I don’t care for her and I feel nothing. (Is that what I’m supposed to feel?) Pan Am felt like it was dragging, so I dropped it off my tv watching/streaming schedule. I’ve pretty much missed out out on all of Chuck this season. I think they’ll all live happily ever after, and that is fine by me!

5. This Means War – I am probably not going to see this in the movie theater, thanks to Jen’s photo review of the movie. I do like Tom Hardy a lot – he was terrific in Inception! But McG directed it and I’m eh about spending any more cash for the next 6 months (See #3).
