New England shoemaker Alden has been in business since 1884; needless to say, these guys know what they’re doing. In the past few seasons, we’ve seen them hit the scene with retailer-exclusive products, made in collaboration with some of our favorite shops. Belfast’s The Bureau may be the first we’ve seen outside of the United States to team up with Alden, though we I may be wrong.

Anyhow, the two have dropped a new variation to the immensely popular Long Wing Blucher we’ve seen before. The twist on this offering is the contrasting sole. The natural double oak leather outsoles really help this one be a firm fixture in your closet year round. Made to order for The Bureau.

The Spring 2011 collection from UK’s Dunhill looks quite promising. Plenty of well-cut suits to go around as well as a handful of products for when you’re not in work mode. We’re personally digging the lightweight outerwear pieces, as they’ve been fitted with some fine detailing that really caught out attention.

I’m gearing up for a few trips over the next month so I felt it was time to ditch my old luggage and pick up something new that’ll last and would be ideal for a weekend getaway. Though I haven’t made a final decision yet, the waxwear soft duffle from Jack Spade is most definitely in the running. It measures in at 27x10x16 which provides plenty of space for everything you may need when heading out of town. The interior shoe pockets really add some utility to the bag and may end up winning me over. Small details like that help to make such decisions a hundred times easier.

And with all the goodness that’s going on inside the duffle, let’s not ignore the waxed cotton canvas shell. Jack Spade puts it best: “Waxwear combines the durability of nylon and the ease of cotton. When exposed to heat, the waxed surface refinishes itself, and marks of use fade.”

French clothier Saint James has been getting some well-deserved exposure as of late. This may be due to the fact that it’s been sweltering heat across most of the country and the nautical styles the label offers are just what we want to be sweating in. Whatever the case may be, they’re doing an outstanding job keeping up with the demand. Saint James has signed on some new stockists so it’s getting a little easier to actually get your hands on some of their fine pieces.

We’ve seen their goods at J.Crew but now Vancouver-based LARK has taken stock as well. The naval from Saint James comes in a slim fit with side slits, made of 100% combed cotton jersey.

Thom Browne‘s Fall 2010 collection is beginning to hit fine retailers worldwide and though we saw the full line when it hit the runway back in February, seeing the final product really brings a new outlook on the offerings. Though this is just the first batch of goods to begin arriving in stores, it sets the tone for what else we should expect to see from Thom Browne in the upcoming season. On display here are slim cut denims in gray and indigo varieties, much more casual than we’re used to seeing from the New York designer. The sweatshirts look great as well, and much more wearable than ones of seasons past.

The Puma wayfarer frames from SUPER have beige and black spotting and are fitted with Zeiss lenses. The lenses come in a lighter shade so anyone awing at them will still be able to see past them. Like all SUPER shades, this pair too is handmade in Italy.

London’s H by Hudson has dropped this ankle boat boot. The Mesquite boot is fitted with a navy-leather upper as well as stitched leather detail and a rubber gum sole. Honestly, this might be one of our favorite variations of the boat boot. It’s simple yet has the little details to make it a standout.

Selectism gives us a look at The Brother’s Bray Collection by Billykirk, more specifically a collaboration with footwear icon Sebago. Urban Outfitters will be housing two models, a suede leather dockworker as well as a moc boot.

Seldom do we mention khakis without Dockers being inserted into the conversation. The American pants maker is known for its well-crafted chinos, as they tend to be as functional and durable as they look. The San Francisco chino stays true to the company’s dedication to quality and detail, while delivering a modern cut of the American classic, slim, contemporary fitting with a taper at the ankle.
