Black Scale and Golden Bear have teamed up to make a few colorways of the Deluxe Varsity Jacket. Details are immense as the two-tone shells feature leather and wool paneling as well as snap-button closure, hip pockets, and internal pockets. Striped cuffs, collar and waistband add to the authenticity. The varsity jacket will come in green with red, orange with grey and black on black. Look for this limited edition collaboration to be available starting June 1 through Black Scale flagship stores as well as through their online store.

Last week, Mercedes-Benz officially took the covers off the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class with a complete song and dance to mark the occasion. The unveil took place at an Airbus factory in Hamburg with Alicia Keys performing and The Stig on hand with some fireworks tossed into the mix as well. Bottom line, this is the German automaker’s most advanced S-Class to date and it’s one where it’s equally enjoyable whether you’re doing the driving or sitting in the back calling the shots. The larger grille makes it stand out and it’s got some exterior enhancements that, when coupled with all the interior and technological upgrades, will make this S-Class the best in its class.

The tech features are endless with 3D cameras, night vision, radar, as well as LED headlights and taillights with auto-brightness capabilities. There are 500 LEDs in total, 300 of which are throughout the interior. They can be lit in seven colors with five dimming levels and four dimming zones. The 2014 S-Class also features what the automaker calls the first suspension with eyes. The car’s Magic Body Control system uses Road Surface Scan to detect evenness ahead and then prepare the standard air suspension for the turbulence.

Performance comes from a twin-turbocharged 4.7-liter V-8 that dishes out 455 horsepower with 516 lb-ft of torque. The back seat has a reclining seat option with “unrestricted legroom” by way of the backrest angle which is adjustable up to 43.5 degrees. The back seats can also be ordered with a business center in the middle and even massaging seats. Two 12.3-inch displays can be seen up front while there’s also an adjustable active perfuming system in the vehicle.

The rear-wheel-drive S550 will hit showrooms this September with an all-wheel-drive version and a high-performance S63 AMG model coming in November. Look for a plug-in hybrid and two variants with a V12 engine debuting next year as 2015 models.

The rumors were swirling around for the last week or so but now it’s official: Yahoo has bought tumblr for $1.1 Billion in hard cold cash. Marissa Mayer and team were not playing around, folks. They just turned things up and made David Karp one wealthy 26 year old in the process. Here’s what Yahoo had to say in a press release:

Per the agreement and our promise not to screw it up, Tumblr will be independently operated as a separate business. David Karp will remain CEO. The product, service and brand will continue to be defined and developed separately with the same Tumblr irreverence, wit, and commitment to empower creators.

Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Mayer took to Yahoo’s tumblr page to make the announcement and appropriately so. She even tossed in a gif for good measures. The numbers for Tumblr are impressive — 300 million monthly unique visitors and 120,000 signups every single day with a blog post pool of over 50 billion.

To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race and the 10th anniversary of the British brand’s victory there in 2003, Bentley has announced limited edition models of the Mulsanne and Continental models. Six specs have been created to celebrate each of the six Bentley Boys who have won the race over the years. 48 examples of each ‘Le Mans Limited Edition’ model are being produced. Each car will have a unique Le Mans Edition numbered badge, Le Mans Edition clock face, embroidered Le Mans badge to each headrest, tread plates with the limited edition name, unique Le Mans Edition wheels and specific interior veneers and exterior colours.

Continental GT models will be available in the second quarter of 2013 with Mulsanne Le Mans Edition models available beginning in the third quarter. Bentley has also created a microsite to drop all the details around these limited edition beauties while also shedding more light on the brand’s history at Le Mans.

Globe-Trotter and Mr. Porter have teamed up for a capsule collection that blends the tastes of the online men’s retailer with a brand that still makes all its luxury luggage by hand in their Hertfordshire, England factory and takes over 10 days to craft each piece. To promote the launch of the latest addition to their lineup, the F-Type, Jaguar teamed up with Ridley Scott Associates to create Desire, a 13-minute short film that takes place in the middle of Chile’s Atacama Desert. Damian Lewis of Homeland plays lead here as a delivery driver for high-end cars. This time, he’s behind the wheel of the 2014 Jaguar F-Type and runs into a bit of trouble. Spanish actor Jordi Mollà and American actress Shannyn Sossamon are also in the film, showcasing that Jaguar’s pulling out all the stops to align with the launch of the 2013 World Car Design of the Year.

The F-Type’s interior is inspired by a fighter plane cockpit while more than half the car is made from recycled metal, with 80% less CO2 emissions during manufacturing compared to traditional steel welding.
