In this episode journalist John Duffy joined me to discuss his latest podcast series Origins: Birth of a Pandemic. This series explores the likelihood that SARS-CoV-2 leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). John talked about the mysterious pneumonia cases of six men in Yunnan Province back in 2012, and the theory that these were the first recorded cases of what would become known as COVID-19. We discussed how Dr. Shi Zhengli of the WIV sequenced this virus, and the odd issues surrounding this. We talked about the connection between Peter Daszak, the Eco Health Alliance, and the WIV. Specifically, we looked at the conflicts of interest between these groups. We also talked about the work of Dr. Jonathan Latham of the Bioscience Resource Project and D.R.A.ST.I.C. in bringing public attention to the lab leak theory. John and I also touched on gain of function research and the controversy over Dr. Anthony Fauci’s denials regarding U.S. funding for this research. We finished our conversation by discussing the politicization of the lab leak theory and how the media, politicians, and scientific institutions have labeled this as a dangerous right-wing conspiracy.

After a long absence, I am back with a brand new episode for my listeners. I was joined by journalists John Duffy and Ray Nowosielski. We discussed their new podcast series “After the Uprising: The Death of Danyé Dion Jones,” which takes on the mysterious death of Danyé, a young black activist, who was found hanging from a tree outside of his home in St Louis, Missouri. Danyé’s death was ruled a suicide by St Louis county. However, his mother Melissa McKinnies, a prominent activist in Missouri, believed that this was a lynching connected to her activist work. We discussed the circumstances surrounding the death, touching on many suspicious aspects that were overlooked by the police and the coroner’s office. We discussed key evidence that was overlooked, such as two DNA samples found on the noose. We also explored the circumstances leading up to Danyé’s death. We talked about the targeting of other black activists by the local police. We also touched on the lead detective on the case and issues of internalized racism within the police. We finished off the conversation by discussing the true crime genre and its serious blind spots when it comes to the murder of non-white individuals.

Ed Opperman joined me for a jam packed episode dealing with all the recent developments since the arrest of Ghislane Maxwell. Ed and I start off with the recent bail hearing which did not go in Maxwell’s favor. We discussed her seemingly awful legal advice as well as the notion that she is not the criminal mastermind that the media has made her out to be. We look at the now infamous cellphone in tinfoil to illustrate this idea. Ed and I also talked about the recent rulings by Judge Loretta Preska ordering the unsealing of documents in the Guiffre v Maxwell lawsuit. Later we touch on three bizarre characters in the Maxwell orbit, Laura Goldman, Jack Burkman, and Jacob Wohl. We talk about Goldman’s White House press credentials and her friendship with Maxwell. Ed talks at length about the recent reporting that Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl were working on behalf of Maxwell to smear victims and get SDNY attorney Geoffrey Berman fired. Ed touches on his recent conversations with model and paralegal Kristin Spealman who has publicly talked about the dirty tricks and Maxwell connections of Burkman and Wohl. The two of us also touched on murder and misogynist Roy Den Hollander. We explain how the murders he perpetrated have nothing to do with Epstein or Deutsche Bank. We finish off by getting Ed’s perspective on Dr. Stella Immanuel’s comments about alien DNA.

Mike Swanson started the Tuesday night show with some thoughts on files he was reading related to war footing during the Eisenhower Administration. Chuck went off on a few tangents regarding the insanity of serious considerations being given to the use of nuclear arms. Like in the movie War Games, is the only winning move not to play that game? One wonders about the level of stupidity in the current administration when it comes to using what Trump called the “bigger button”.

Pearse and Chuck discussed the many twists and turns in the less popular DNC reality TV show as it stands in the current season. Is there anything all that strange in Bloomberg buying his way to a nomination by purchasing media time? Trump got and continues to get billions of dollars in media for free, so why not? How bad are the other candidates anyway? Since there seems to be no path to victory for any of them, Is this all simply a gigantic waste of time?

By the way, Roger Stone getting intervention from King Trump might have bothered Trumpets if Obama had done anything remotely similar. If Trump junior gets the nod in 2024, are you ready to leave the country like Chuck? Is Amy Klobuchar the only DNC meat puppet without a per-arranged flaw for MAGA attacks? Is Tulsi Gabbard still in? Yang went bust nang. Is sleepy Joe putting his supporters to sleep? What a mess.

I recorded a short episode talking about the recent release of documents on the 2006-2008 prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein. I discussed why State Attorney Dave Aronberg decided to make these files publicly available. Later I touched on a few strange tidbits I found, including a story about Epstein employing Wackenhut security guards and a “ninja” who was hiding out in Epstein’s bushes. The ninja turns out to be a private investigator linked to corrupt attorney Scott Rothstein and the Gambino Family, thus adding another strange layer to this complex story.

We briefly touch on Tulsi Gabbard’s recent bump in the polls and her continued charade as an anti-war candidate.

In the second hour Ed Opperman joined me to talk about the subject that first brought us together four years ago, the Jeffrey Epstein case. Ed and I talked about the recent Project Veritas “bombshell” report, which features ABC’s Amy Robach on a hot mic talking about the outlet spiking her Epstein report. We talked about how this is not neither new news and how this adds nothing to the discussion of Epstein and his crimes. Ed also gave us an insight into the nasty world of criminal justice. We looked at the criticism of people like Lisa Bloom, as well as the good versus evil mentality that many have when it comes to this case. Ed also talked about the media’s continued campaign of misinformation on Epstein and his conspirators. We discussed the idea that the media is still actively protecting those who knew about Epstein’s crimes, including people like Donald Trump and Bill Clinton. Later Ed touched on the coordinated meme-wars on social media related to Epstein. We focused on the #EpsteinCoverup and #EpsteinDidntKillHimself hash tags on Twitter and elsewhere.

This week I welcomed Matthew Alford to discuss all things Brexit. We kicked off the show by talking about Boris Johnson’s rise to power. Matt talked about Johnson’s public persona as an “inbred upperclass twit,” and how this has shaped his political career. Next, we dove head first into the ongoing drama of Brexit. Matt updated the listeners on the latest developments, including the announcement of a general election on December 12. Matt also analyzed recent polls, which suggest that Johnson and the Conservatives will most likely win and therefore push forward with his party’s plan to leave the EU. We talked about the wisdom of holding a second election and why Matt advocates for voting Labour. We also touched on complex issues like the border with Northern Ireland and how Brexit could unravel the delicate political architecture of the peace deal in Northern Ireland.

In the second hour we discussed Donald Trump’s false narrative that he is some sort of “peace president.” Matt focused on why so many in the conspiracy culture seem to latch onto this false narrative. We also spoke about Trump’s destructive policies in Venezuela and the deteriorating political situation in Haiti. Matt concluded the episode by talking about what some in the UK are overlooking (e.g., the UK as a major arms dealer) due to a strong focus on Brexit. We ended by talking about some of the positive initiatives such as climate change activism around the world, and various other protests during which individuals en mass speak truth to power.

In the second hour, Chuck took issue with the Porkins show from earlier in the day. Is Pearse falling in line with others when it comes to exhaustion on the Trump Reality show? Is everyone being browbeaten into submission so that apathy is their only defense against the onslaught of stupidity from the 45th POTUS?

This week Kevin Gosztola joined me to discuss the Trump-Ukraine whistleblower case and the possibility of a presidential impeachment. Kevin started by laying out what we know about the CIA whistleblower in question and what is in his complaint. Kevin described how the whistleblower went through the proper channels, and how this was handled by the Director of National Intelligence. We also discussed the allegations in the complaint and discussed why government employees blow the whistle in the first place. We argued that people who blow the whistle tend to believe very strongly in the construct of government and feel strongly about corruption. We also touched on how this whistleblower, as an employee of the CIA, may have viewed this conversation as an affront to the CIA’s stated goals in Ukraine. Kevin and I also looked at some of the secondary figures named in the complaint like Kurt Volker whose connections to Raytheon and NATO might have more to do with this story than meets the eye. We also discussed the possibility of impeachment and the political nature of impeachment and how this could backfire for the Democrats in the future.
