We originally started this blog in February of 2007 and now it has over 350 posts. It is incredible to think back on all the fun I have had updating the blog with our most recent work.

Carla and Josh, Engagement Session

Last week we met up with Carla and Josh at Sawyer Point downtown. Josh proposed to Carla on the Serpentine Wall so we had to include that in our photos. Josh was such a great sport that he also let Carla propose to him first for fun (she had his wedding ring with her so we couldn't resist trying). They were both hams and I loved how they played it up. They are such a fun couple.We enjoyed photographing them and spending more time with them. We are excited to photograph their wedding in May. Saturday we had a wonderful day for Lindsey and Mark's wedding. We started with the girls at Collins and Co. and then went to the Manor House for their courtyard wedding. It was wonderful to use the garden area for many of their photos. The reception was beautiful with her pink and green colors decorating the room. One of my favorite moments was just watching the two of them be photographed together. They are so into each other that it was nice to see them together in the beautiful garden. Lindsey and Mark we hope you are enjoying your honeymoon! More photos are on our facbook slideshow. Special thanks to all of their awesome vendors. We enjoyed working with the guys from Lifetime Video and the dj from Steve Bender Productions.

When we first met Stephanie and Nick we couldn't stop talking. Before we knew it the time was 11:30 p.m. So we knew we were going to enjoy spending the day with them on their wedding day. Part of the fun was Nick's awesome idea. He didn't want to see Stephanie before the wedding but he wanted Stephanie to get all of the fun shots she wanted before the wedding. So his best man had to lead him around blindfolded for a bit. But guess what? We were able to get so many great photos with the two of them before hand. It made the day so much fun and a good laugh throughout. We couldn't have pulled it off without their awesome best man and maid of honor - thanks you two. And their bridal party was super helpful too. One of the best moments of the day was watching Stephanie's dad read his proclamation. Since he is a mayor that is what he does best. And the biggest surprise during the reception was when the UC band came in and played and had Nick direct them! Since the band is so important to this couple it was so neat to see them pull off this fun surprise. Overall the day was amazing and we were so glad to be there to document the day. Stephanie and Nick have a wonderful honeymoon. To their bridal party and family - thank you for being so great to work with throughout the day!

The beautiful makeup was done by Ashley Matho. Stephanie's hair looked great and was done by Missy from Bzhars Salon and Tanning.

Nick gave the groomsmen pocket watches for their gifts. How appropriate for a Bell Event Center reception!

St. Peter in Chains is a beautiful church and their wedding was stunning.

The beautiful cake was designed by Piece of Cake.

Jessica and Ronnie, Engagement Session

Ronnie and Jessica were so much fun to photograph! We roamed all around the farm to get some unique photos. I even climbed a fence. They were great sports and even let me try a funny pose that kind of reminds of me something Norman Rockwell would paint. Very slice of life and fun. I love how it incorporated Ronnie's antique tractor. Then we went to her grandparent's home and used some of the neat buildings and landscape there. Jessica and Ronnie we look forward to photographing your wedding this fall!

We first met Jenny and Philip at a Wedding Mafia bridal show where Jenny was the model for our group. She looked amazing in all of the dresses so I couldn't wait to see which dress she would wear for her wedding day. Jenny and Philip were so fun at that event that we knew it would be great if the chose us for their wedding day. Saturday was their big day and they both looked amazing. The wedding was at Weaver Chapel on the beautiful Wittenberg Campus. One of my favorite moments was watching them melt into each other's arms after the ceremony. After that we went to the legendary "kissing bridge" on campus and took the photo above. The reception was just down the road at the beautiful Springfield Country Club. Jenny and Philip, we wish you two all the very best. We hope you are having a fabulous honeymoon!

Wow - that is what word came to mind when I opened up the ups package with Stephanie and Nick's engagement book. I just love the new custom photo wrap covers. Using a beautiful fish eye image on the front looks stunning! Stephanie and Nick's guests are going to love signing this book and looking at the great engagement photos.

On the left is their engagement card. I love how the card looks great with the book.

Sarah and Tom, Engagement Photos

Sarah and Tom met up with me at Nesbit park in Loveland. Tom first said I love you while they were hanging out on the swings and then he later proposed in the very same spot. How romantic! So we had to get a few photos in the park and by the swings. These two are such a fun couple. Tom was awesome at following directions and being romantic in front of the camera. I loved watching Sarah's face light up when she looked at Tom. You can tell this is a very loving couple. I can't wait to photography their wedding in November.

There is something so wonderful about being able to celebrate some of the most important times in our couples lives. We are able capturing their special moments for them to hold onto. We photographed Ashley and Paul's wedding in 2005 and now they have their own family of three. It was so great to catch up with them and to meet baby Luke. You can tell that they are a beautiful family. It was neat to see how loving they are to their little boy.

Congratulations to Bonnie our Mother's Day contest winner! She has won one portrait session with prints. Her daughter sent a wonderful email to nominate her. Of course I would have given her the award just for having three kids getting married in one year! Below is Ashley's beautiful email!

How do you put into words the person who throughout my lifetime has been mom, teacher, coach, disciplinarian, best friend, worst enemy, provider of comfort and advice, and most recently wedding planner extraordinaire? My mom is a successful wife and mother, always willing to put herself second for the best interest of her family. She taught her children to be good people, devoted to family; she held our hands and wiped our tears through break-ups, hardships, and cross-country moves. Despite her desire to keep her "babies" close at hand, she made the ultimate sacrifice, and stood firmly behind me as I packed my bags and moved to Boston . My mom is the person I admire most in this world, and while her family and friends know how beautiful she is inside, I would love to give her the opportunity to show off her beauty on the outside too. - Ashley
