Traditional celebration of wine and burčák (young wine) was around Troja Castle too. On September 19th I was there to taste some wine, look around the Troja Castle and St. Clara’s Vineyard. We enjoyed walk through Botanical gardens themed into autumn colors decorated with lot of pumpkins. I’ll definitely come next year too.

Old Town underground collector

Ruins in Karlín

Short walk or ride by bike from Palmovka to Karlín or vice versa. You can go around big ruins near Vltava river. Half destroyed buildings inspired teenagers with spray to create some grafitti. You can find here some inspiration for yourself or enjoy nice weather and do something for your health and walk few kilometers.

St Henry and Kunhuta church

This gothic church you can find near Main train station. It was built in 1348 in gothic style and in 1529 and 1688 was rebuilt in renasence and baroque style. Along the church you can continue by foot to Wenceslas square.

Old Town Square and Christmas Tree 2008

On November 29th it was christmas tree ceremony on Old Town Square. It was small ceremony with square full of people. It was small challenge to get in the middle of the square and see lighting up the tree. It was pleasant start of advent time before Christmas.
