सबै जातिको संस्कृति तथा जातीय पहिचानका आधार संस्कार, भाषा, पोसाक, वाद्ययन्त्र, हात-हतियार ,भाँडाकुँडा, गीत-नृत्य आदि सबै थोक पर्छन्। यहाँ केही विषयको परिचय दिइँदै छ।

१.१ भेष-भूषा

दौरा: चारतिर तुना बाँधेर पुरूषले शरीरको माथिल्लो भागमा लगाउने सांस्कृतिक पोषाक हो।

सुरुवाल: पुरुषको पोसाक हो। यसको आकार सुरिलो भएकाले सुरुवाल भनिएको हो। सुरुवालको आदि रूप कछाड थियो, त्यसपछि धोती अनि पछि सुरुवालमा आइपुगेको हो। नेपाली सुरुवाल तिघ्रामा टयाप्प मिलेको हुन्छ अनि तल्लो अंश केही लामो हुन्छ, यसले गर्दा पुछारमा मुजा पर्न जान्छ।

अस्कोट: यसलाई इस्टकोट पनि भन्छन् । यो शब्द अङ्ग्रेजी ‘वेस्टकोट’को रूपान्तरित शब्द हो। कोटका साथ भित्रबाट लगाउने वा कोट बाहेक नै छुट्टै लगाउन सकिने यसको लम्बाइ कम्मरसम्म हुन्छ। दौरा सुरुवालमाथि इस्टकोट हुनैपर्छ। यसका हात हुँदैनन्।

टोपी: शरीरको शिरलाई ढाक्ने वस्त्रलाई टोपी भनिन्छ। टोपीका भाग धेरै छन्; जस्तै बिर्खे टोपी, ढाका टोपी, भादगाउँले टोपी आदि। अचेल ढाका टोपी र भादगाउँले टोपीको चलन धेरै देखिन्छ।

कछाड: कम्मरबाट घुँडासम्म बेरेर लाउने वस्त्र हो। यो धोतीको सानो रूप हो।

धोती: कछाडको वर्धित रूप हो धोती। खासगरी बाहुनहरूले लाउने धोती विशेष कार्यमा जरूरी हुन्छ।

गलबन्दी: यसलाई कँधौरी पनि भनिन्छ। अचेल त माफलार भनिन्छ। गलालाई जाडोबाट जोगाउन यसको प्रयोग गरिन्छ। कथ्यमा यसलाई गलफन भनिन्छ ।

पटुका: स्त्री पुरुष दुवै वर्गले कम्मर र पेटमा टमक्क कसेर बाँध्ने लामो वस्त्र हो।

गादो: यसले छातीलाई जाडोबाट जोगाउँछ। कुम्लो-कुटुरो बाँध्ने साधन पनि हो। लाप्चे जातिमा यसको प्रयोग बढी हुन्छ। लाप्चेले यसलाई ‘दुमदुम’ भन्छन्। गुरुङ, मगरले
यसलाई ‘गादो’ भन्छन्। भाङ्ग्रे सिस्नुबाट यो बनाइन्छ।

थ्याकतक: लाप्चे जातिका पुरुषले लाउने टोपी हो। कपडा अनि खरायाको भुत्ले छालाले यो टोपी बनाउँछन्।

दुमप्यु: लाप्चे जातिका स्त्री पुरुष दुवै वर्गले पटुका जसरी लगाउने वस्त्र हो।

बक्खु: शेर्पा, याल्मो आदि जातिले लाउने लामो कोट हो।

गुन्यू: स्त्रीहरूले लाउने वस्त्र हो। यसको वर्धित रूप हो साडी।

चोलो: चोलोलाई चोली पनि भनिन्छ। अङ्ग्रेजीमा ब्लाउज भनिन्छ। चारतिर तुनाले बाँध्न सकिने हुनाले यस चोलोलाई चौबन्दी चोलो पनि भनिन्छ। चोलो ठूलो र लामो बाहुला भएको हुन्छ भने चोली सानो हुन्छ र यसको बाहुला छोटो हुन्छ ।

मजेत्रो: स्त्रीहरूको शिरमा एक फेरो लगाई बाँधेर परिधान गर्ने वस्त्र हो। पुरुषको टोपीको समानन्तर हो यो मजेत्रो। बिहेमा खास गरी रातो मजेत्रो ओडछन्।

घलेक: यो मेघालयका खसिया महिलाहरूले भिर्ने वस्त्र—- जस्तै हो। नेपालीमा पनि यसको चलन छ। यो दोकाँधे पारेर लगाइन्छ- यौटा देब्रे काँधमा,अर्को दाहिनेमा ।

खास्टो: आज जसलाई सल वा च्यादर भनिन्छ त्यही नै हो खास्टो।

बर्को: खास्टो जस्तै एकसरो ओढ्ने वस्त्र हो।

पछ्यौरी: दुपट्टा जस्तो वस्त्र हो, यो पातलो बर्को वा खास्टो जस्तो हुन्छ।

लाछा: यो प्राय: तीन फुट लामो तीनवटा धागाका लाछाले तयारी हुन्छ। यसका पुछारमा झुम्का बनाइएका हुन्छन् औ सितारा जोडिएका हुन्छन्। सौन्दर्य बृद्धि गर्न चुल्ठो बाट्ने र ‘ खोपा ’ बनाउने साधन हो। यो रातो र कालो रङको हुन्छ।

टेकी: मगर, गुरुङ नारीहरूले पहिरिने तीन कुने वस्त्र हो। यसलाई कम्मरमुनि पछिल्लोपट्टि ढाक्ने गरी लगाउँछन्।

पाण्डा: तामाङ र भोटे नारीहरूको वस्त्र हो। यसलाई इँजारले कम्मरमा बाँधेर अघिल्तिर घुँडासम्म झारिन्छ। अविवाहिताले चाहिँ पछिल्तिर झुण्डयाछन्।

खदा: नेपाली समाजमा सम्मान जनाउँदा गलामा ओढाइदिने सेतो वस्त्र हो। यो असमियाको ‘सेलेङ ’ बडोको ‘आरनाई ’ जस्तै हो।

दोसल्ला: यो ठूलो च्यादर हुन्छ अनि सम्मान जनाउँदा ओढाइदिन्छन्।

1.2 गहना

शिरफुल: शिरमा लाउने सुनको पातामा सुन्दर रूपले खोपिएको अनि बीचमा पत्थर जडिएको हुन्छ।
शिरबन्दी: कानका माथिदेखि शिरको वरिपरि घुमाएर अनि सिउँदोमा लगाई निधारसम्म लर्काइएको हुन्छ।
फुली: नाकको देब्रे पोरामा प्वाल पारी त्यसमा लगाइने गहना हो।
बुलाकी : नाकमा झुण्डयाएर लाउने सुनको गहना हो। बुलाकी तीन खाले हुन्छन्-झम्के बुलाकी, डाइबरे ढुङ्ग्री र काँडे बुलाकी, बेरूवा बुलाकी, सादा बुलाकी ।
नथिया वा नत्था: नाकको देब्रे प्वालमा लगाइन्छ। फुली पनि भनिन्छ यसलाई ।
क्लिप: प्राय: एक औंला चेप्टा तथा दुइ-तीन औंला लामा बुट्टेदार हुन्छन्।
ढुङ्ग्री : कानमा लगाइने सुनको गहना हो।
गदवरी: यो पनि ढुङ्ग्री जस्तो गहना हो। धागामा अडकाएर लाउँछन्।
मारवाडी : कानका लोतीमा लगाइन्छ।
टप: कानको लोतीमा लगाइने गहना हो। टप धेरै प्रकारका हुन्छन्।
मुन्द्रा: कानका लोतीमा केटाकेटी सबैले लगाउने गहना हो।
चेप्टे सुन: यो कानका लोतीमा लाउने अलङ्कार हो। सुनका बाटुला थाल जस्तै पाता वरिपरि कोप्रो बिट औ माझमा ठाडो बुट्टाको बीच रातो वा नीलो पत्थर जडेको हुन्छ।
मञ्जरी: घुँगरुका आकारको ,हल्लिँदा छमछम बज्ने, गोडामा लाउने सानो खाल्को पाउजेप अथवा नूपुर हो।
कुण्डल: लोग्ने मानिसले कानमा झुण्डयाएर लाउने गहना हो।
हारी: यो पैसाको माला हो। एक रुपियाँ, आठानी,चारानी आदि मोहर जडेर बनाइन्छ। ब्रिटिश-इन्डियाका समयमा यसको चलन सुरु भएको थियो।
टीकीमाला: यो गहना गुरुङ जातिमा बढी प्यारो देखिन्छ। यो छातीमाथि घाँटीको वरिपरि लगाइन्छ।
नौगेडी: नौवटा सुनका बाटुला काँडा भएका डल्ला मटेङ्ग्राभन्दा केही ठूला गेडी हुन्छन्। यो माला नै नौगेडी हो।
कण्ठहार: यसका दाना नौगेडीका दानाभन्दा केही मात्रामा ठूला हुन्छन्। यो पनि माला आकारकै हुन्छ। पुरुष महिला दुवै वर्गले लगाउँछन्।
तिलहरी: यो एक इञ्चदेखि लिएर तीन इञ्चसम्म लामो औला जत्रो मोटो काँडे ढाँचामा ढालिएको सुनको ठोसो हो। यसलाई पोतेको गुच्छामा उनेर छातीमाथि बस्ने, लमाइमा कण्ठहार जस्तै गलामा लगाइने महिलाको गहना हो। बिहेमा बेउलाले बेउलीलाई पनि लगाइदिन्छन्।
पोते: प्रत्येक विवाहित महिलाको गहना हो। बिहेमा बेउलाले बेउलीलाई मङ्गलसूत्रका रूपमा लगाइदिने माला हो।
चुरी: चुरीलाई चुरा पनि भनिन्छ। महिलाले हातमा लगाउने सुन, चाँदि अथवा पित्तलका गोला गहना हुन्।
बाला: हातमा लाउने चूरा जस्तै गहना हो।
कल्ली: खुट्टामा लाउने बाला जस्तै गहना हो। यो काँडे र सादा हुन्छ ।
औंठी: औंलामा लाउने गहना हो। औंठी पाँच खाले हुन्छ, जस्तै: पाते, आँखे, बाँके, बेरूवा, भोटे आदि।
टिकी: निधारमा दुई आँखी भौको बीचमा लगाइने सानो टिको हो।
बाईँ: नारीका हातमा चुरीको बदलामा लाइँने चाँदीको चुरा हो।यो सादा र बुट्टे हुन्छ ।
पुवाँलो: यो नारीहरूले गलामा लाउने माला हो। हिन्दूहरूले गाई दान गर्दा अझ पनि गाईको पुछारमा पुवाँलो बाँध्ने चलन देखिन्छ।
चन्द्रहार: यो नारीहरूले गलामा लाउने माला हो।

1.3 खाद्य पदार्थ

चाम्रे: भिजाएको चामललाई केही बेर तेल वा घिउमा भुटेर पानी हाली पकाएको खाद्य हो। यसलाई झन्डै ‘पोलाउ’-सित दाँज्न सकिन्छ। गुन्द्रुकको अचारसित चाम्रे खाने चलन थियो।
जाउलो: गिलो(नरम) भात नै जाउलो हो।
ढिँडो: मकैको पिठोलाई भात पकाए झैं पकाएको खाद्य हो। यो अडिलो र पोसिलो हुन्छ।
ढकने; चाम्रे झैं पकाउने तर दूध र घिउ साथै चिनी, काजु, किसमिस, नरिवलका टुक्रा, अलैंचीको धुलो आदि पनि हालिन्छ।
खीर : खीरलाई पायस पनि भनिन्छ। दूधमा चामल हालेर स्वाद अनुसार चिनी, काजु, किसमिस, नरिवल, मरिचको धुलो, मेथीको धुलो, कपुर आदि पनि मिसिन्छ।
फुरौला: दाल वा फापरको पीठो मुछेर साना साना डल्ला पार्दै तेलमा पकाएर ( तारेर) खाने पदार्थ। यसलाई ‘पकौडा ’-सित तुलना गर्दा हुन्छ।
गुन्द्रुक: छिपिएको रायो,तोरी,मूलाका पात टिपेर घाममा केही दिन सुकाएपछि गहिरो खाडलमा माटो नलागोस् भनेर वरिपरि बाँसका ढ्वाग, पराल, कोदोको नल लगाएर बीचमा मुस्लीका सहायताले खाँदेर छोपिन्छ। कहिलेकाहीँ भाँडामा, सफा टिनमा पनि हाल्न सकिन्छ। प्राय: २२-२५
दिनपछि यो अमिलो हुन्छ अनि बाहिर निकालिन्छ। निकालेर निकै दिन घाममा सुकाएर राखिन्छ। हावा नपस्ने गरी बिर्को लाएर कुनै बट्टामा राख्दा बर्षौंसम्म राख्‍न सकिन्छ। गुन्द्रुकको झोल खाइन्छ। दालको ठाउँमा गुन्द्रुकको झोल खाने चलन थियो।
सिन्की: गुन्द्रुक मुलाका पातको बनाइन्छ भने सिन्की चाहिं मूलाका भेदको अथवा मुलालाई किच्याएर गुन्द्रुक जस्तै खाडलमा हालिन्छ। गुन्द्रुकभन्दा बढी अमिलो हुन्छ हुने हुनाले यसको अचार र रस(झोल) खाने गरिन्छ। सिन्की पाचनको काम गर्छ अनि धेरै दिनसम्म राख्‍न सकिन्छ।
सोल्लर: महीलाई नुन-भुटुन मिलाई कराईमा तातो पारेर खाने पेय पदार्थ।
कसार: चामललाई पानीमा केहीबेर ढड्याएपछि तारेर ढिकीमा कुटी पहिला पिठो बनाउनुपर्छ। उक्त पिठोलाई ठूलो कराईमा भुटेर मरिचको धुलो, अलैंची, सख्खर(गुँड) जस्ता वस्तु मिलाई हातले बाटिएका गोला डल्ला गुलिया खाद्य पदार्थ हो। खास गरी बिहे र व्रतमन्नमा कसार अनिवार्य हो, बनाउनै पर्छ। बिहेमा कसार खान आउनु पनि भनिन्छ।
थेबे: यो अचार हो। मूला वा आँपलाई सिलौटामा किच्याएर नुन तेल र खोर्सानी मिसाएर बनाइन्छ।
सेलरोटी: धानका चामललाई केहीबेर भिजाएर ढिकी, ओखली वा मेसिनमा कुटेर धुलो पारिएको पीठोलाई पानी र्‍यालेर गिलो बनाइनछ। यसरी गिलो बनाइएको पिठोलाई हातको सहाराले तातो तेल वा घिउमा जुलापी बनाए झैं बनाइन्छ, यही नै हो सेलरोटी, यसलाई मिठो पारी फुलाउन केही मसाला मिलाइन्छ, अनि त्यो मसालालाई ‘दाउन’ भनिन्छ। तिहार, स्वस्थानी पूजा, बिहे,माघे सँग्रान्ती आदि शुभकार्यमा सेलरोटी बनाइने चलन छ। सेलरोटीसित तिलको अचार पनि हुन्छ।
कुराउनी: गाई वा भैंसीको दूध तताउने भाँडाको टाँसिएको पदार्थ नै कुराउनी हो।
बिगौती: गाई‍-भैंसी ब्याएको केही दिनसम्म यसका दुधबाट राम्रो दही जाम्दैन। त्यस बेला दुध तताएर फाटेपछि पानी सुकाएए खाने पदार्थ नै बिगौती हो।
अपुङ्गो: देवकार्यमा चलाइने गँहुको पिठो अथवा चामलको पिठोमा दुध, चिनी, घिउ, ल्वाङ आदि मिसाएर बनाइने प्रसाद हो।
सातु: मकैलाई राम्ररी भुटेपछि जाँतो अथवा मेसिनमा पिसेर बनाएको पिठोलाई सातु भनिन्छ।
पुवा: चामलको पिठोलाई घिउमा भुटेर चिनी वा नुन हाली वा केही पनि नहाली पकाएको खाद्य पदार्थ। सुतकेरी महिलालाई जुवानाको झोल र पुवा खुवाउने चलन छ।

1.4 वाद्ययन्त्र

नौमति बाजा: नौमतिबाजाको पुरानो नाम पञ्चेबाजा हो। बिहे, शोभायात्रा, शुभकार्य आदिका साथै मङ्गल धुनका लागि नौमतिबाजाको प्रयोग गरिन्छ। नौमतिबाजामा ट्याम्को, दमाहा, नरसिङ्गा, झ्याम्टा, सनही हुन्छन्।
सारङ्गी: भायलिन जस्तै तार द्वारा बजाइने वाद्ययन्त्र हो । यसमा चारवटा तार लगाइएको हुन्छ। नेपाली समाजमा ‘गाइने’ जातले सारङ्गी बजाउने गर्दछन्। सारङ्गी बनाउन तीन प्रकारको सामग्रीको प्रयोजन हुन्छ। काठ खोलेर गोहोरो, बाख्रा अथवा भेडा आदिको छालाले त्यस काठलाई मोरेर त्यसमाथि तार जडेर सारङ्गी बनाइन्छ। यसलाई रेटेर बजाइने गरिन्छ।
ढोलक: ढोलक मादल जस्तो काठ र छालाले बनाएको ताल बाजा हो। यसलाई दुइ पट्टि छालाले बेरेको हुन्छ। यसको बनावट पनि मादल जस्तै हो। ढोलकको एकापट्टि भित्रबाट खरी लगाइएको हुन्छ। यसलाई हातले कुटेर बजानउनु पर्छ।
मादल: यो नेपाली समाजको मुख्य बाजा हो। नेपाली समाजको सबै सांस्कृतिक कार्यहरूमा यसको प्रयोग हुन्छ। काठमा ढुङ्ग्रो पारेर दुवैपट्टि छालाले मोरेर खरी (मसला) लगाइएको हुन्छ। यसको एकापट्टि केहि सानो, अर्कापट्टि हलिक ठूलो पटरेर बनाइएको हुन्छ।
मादल दुइखाले हुन्छन्। पूर्वेली मादल र पश्चिमेली मादल। पूर्वेली मादल आकारमा अलिक ठूलो र पश्चिमेली मादल अलिक सानो हुन्छ। यसलाई दुईहातले कुटेर बजाउनु पर्छ। मादल नभए नेपाली संङ्गीत अधुरो हुन्छ।
कठताल: यसलाई करताल, करताली जे भने पनि हुन्छ। यसका दुइटा बाग हुन्छन्। दुइवटा भागलाई एउटै हातका औंलाका सहायताले एकर्कामा ठोक्काएर बजाउने बजाइने बाजा हो। यसमा ध्वनि सृजना गर्नकालागि मुजुराहरू संलग्न गरिएका हुन्छन्। यिनै मुजुराहरूका घर्षणद्वारा ध्वनि सृर्जना हुने गर्दछ। विशेषगरि भजन-कीर्तनहरूमा यसको प्रयोग गरिन्छ।

मुरली: बाँसको ढुङ्ग्रो छेडेर मुरली बनाइन्छ। यसको एक छेउमा तेर्छो काटेर त्यहाँ बाँसको पातलो चोया राखिन्छ र एउटा दुलो पारिन्छ। अर्को छेउमा ६-७ वटा दुला पारिन्छ। यसलाई बजाउन मुरलीको तेर्छो काटेको छेउ मुखभित्र हालेर बिस्तारो फुके पछि त्यहाँबाट ध्वनि प्रवाहित हुन थाल्दछ। यस प्रवाहित घ्वनिलाई संगितमा परिवर्तन गराउन औंलालेछोपी राखेका दयलाहरू क्रमानुसार छोप्ने र उघार्ने गरिन्छ। यसरी मुरली बजाउदा अति सुरिलो स्वर प्रवाहित हुन्छ। यो नेपाली समाजको अतिप्रिय बाद्ययन्त्र हो।
बाँसुरी: मुरली जस्तै तर तेर्छो पारेर बजाइने बाजा हो बाँसुरी। एकापट्टि टालिएको बाँसको ढुङ्ग्रोमा दुलो पारेर फुक्ने गरिन्छ। ढुङ्ग्रोको अर्कापट्टि लहरै ६-७ वटा दुला पारेर औंलाले छोप्ने गरिन्छ। यसरी तल्लो ओठमा राखेर सासले फुकेर औंला चाल्दा सुरिलो ध्वनि निस्कने गर्दछ। यो स्वर अति श्रुति मधुर हुन्छ यसले श्रोताको मन छुन्छ। नेपाली लोकगीतमा यसको प्रयोग धेरै हुने गर्दछ।
डम्फु: डम्फु नेपाली जातिको लोकप्रिय बाजा हो। यसको आकार गोलो हुन्छ। अनुमानिक इक हातको गोलाकार भएको डम्फुको काठको घेराको एकापट्टि भेडा-बाख्राको छालाले बेरेर खील मारेको हुन्छ। अर्कापट्टि खुल्ला रहन्छ। यो हातमा लिएर औंलाले पिटेर बजाउने बाजा हो।
ढ्याङ्ग्रो: नेपाली समाजमा कुनै मान्छे बिमारी भएमा बिमार निको पार्न धामी-झाँक्रीद्वारा व्यवहार गर्ने बाजा हो ढ्याङ्ग्रो। गोलाकार काठमा प्वाल पारेर दुवैपट्टि छालाले मोरेर समाउनका लागि त्यो काठमा बिंड लगाएर ढ्याङ्ग्रो बनाएन्छ। विशेषगरी राती धामी अथवा झाँक्रीले चिन्ता बस्दा ढ्याङ्ग्रो बजाउने गर्दछन्। यसको ताल आफ्नै प्रकारको हुन्छ।
गजो: गजो भनेको ढ्याङ्ग्रो बजाउँदा व्यवहार गर्ने ‘कुकुर डाइनो’ काठद्वारा बनाइएको लौरो हो। यो बक्राकार (अंग्रेजी S) आकारको हुन्छ। यसलाई धामी-झाँक्रीले मात्र बजाउने गर्दछन्।
डमरू: डमरू विभिन्न शुभकार्य, धार्मिक कार्यमा बजाइने धार्मिक बाजा हो। ठूला-ठूला मन्दिर, गुम्बा तथा घरमा पूजा आजामा बजाइने गरिन्छ। सानो काठको टुकुरालाई विशेष तरिकाले खोपेर दुवैतिर छालाले बेरिन्छ।काठको माझमा सानो घाँटी राखिएको हुन्छ। छालाको दुवैपट्टि सानो तुनामा मसिना दाना जडिएको हुन्छ। यही दानाले हिर्काएर यसलाई बजाइने चलन छ।
घण्टी: काँस (धातु) द्वारा घण्टी निर्माण गरिन्छ। घण्टी दुइ प्रकारका हुन्छन्। भेटने घण्टी र थाले घण्टी। विभिन्न माङ्गलिक कार्यहरूमा घण्टी बजाइन्छ। काँसको भेट्नो सहित मुनिबाट खोक्रो त्यसको माझमा सानो डण्ठी झुण्डाएको हुन्छ। यसलाई हल्लाएर बजाउनु पर्छ।
अर्को घण्टी थालजस्तो हुन्छ। यसको एक छेउमा प्वाल पारेर डोरी छिराउने गरिन्छ। त्यस डोरीमा समाती झुण्डाएर बाँसको डण्ठीले बिस्तारो हिर्काएर बजाउनु पर्छ। थाले घण्टीको आवाज धेरै टाडासम्म पुग्ने गर्दछ।

1.5 भाँडाकुँडा:

खँडकुलो: यो ठूलो आकारको पकाउने तामा(धातु)को भाँडो हो। ठूला-ठूला भोज-भतेर खुवाउनु पर्दा खँडकुलोमा पकाइने गरिन्छ। यसको आकार ठूलो हुनाले चौकामा चडाउन वा ओराल्नका लागि बिटमा चारवटा कडा(चुरा) लगाइएको हुन्छ। अलिक सानो खँडकुलो भए दुइटा मात्र कडा लगाइएका हुन्छन्।
भड्डु(कसुँडी): यो पित्तल अथवा तामाको भकुण्डोजस्तो भाँडो हो। यसको मुख भाँडो भन्दा सानो साँघुरो हुन्छ। यो गाग्रो जस्तो पेट फुकेको र मुख सानो भएको हुन्छ। निकै बाक्लो र गह्रौं हुन्छ। अहिलेको प्रेसर कुकर संग यसको तुलना गर्न सकिन्छ।यसमा मासु, दाल आदि पकाउन सकिन्छ। भड्डुमा पकाएको मासु, दाल धेरै स्वादिष्ट हुन्छ भनिन्छ।
चुठुवा(कोपरा): यो नेपाली जातिको आफ्नैपनको भाँडो हो। यो ठूलो बिट भएको अलिक गह्रौं पित्तल(धातुको) हुन्छ। घरमा आएका पाहुनाहरूलाई चुठाउन र घरका बूढा-बूढीमानिस तथा बिमारीले पिसाब फेर्ने काममा यसलाई व्यवहार गर्दछन्।
दिउरे: दिउरेमा सबैथोक पकाउन सकिन्छ। यो ठाडो बिट भएको समाउने बिँड भएको भाँडो हो। यो प्राय: एल्युमुनियम तथा ष्टीलको हुन्छ। यसमा तरकारी, तिहुन, चिया, दुघ, दाल जेपनि पकाउन सकिन्छ।
आरी: आरी अलिक ठूलो खालको भाँडो हो। यसको पिँध साँघुरिएको हुन्छ। गहिरो ठाडो बिट भएको तामा वा पित्तलको भाँडो नेपाली समाजमा धेरै प्रचलनमा रहेको छ। खाने सामानहरू राख्न र पिठो, आँटा रघेल्नलाई यसको व्यवहार गरिन्छ।
काँसे बटुका: काँस धातुबाट बटुको बनाइन्छ। त्यसैले यसलाई काँसे बटुको भनिएको हो। बाटुलो आकार अलिक कोप्रो बिट माथि उठेको हेर्दा कुनै गोलाकार बस्तुको आधा अंश जस्तो देखिन्छ। यसमा तिहुन-तरकारी, दुध, दही, मही, चिया जस्ता तरल पदार्थहरू राखेर खान- पिउन सकिन्छ।
गाग्री-गाग्रो: नेपाली महिलाहरूले पानी बोक्ने र राख्ने तामा अथवा पित्तलका पात्र हुन् गाग्री-गाग्रा। यसको पिँध अलिक साँघुरो हुन्छ, पेट फुकेको र घाँटी सानो हुन्छ। प्राय:जसो तामाका गाग्रीमा कलात्मक ढङ्गले फूलबुट्टा भरेको हुन्छ। विभिन्न माङ्गलिक कार्यमा गाग्रा-गाग्रीको प्रयोग गरिन्छ।
ताई: विशेषगरि सेलरोटी पकाउनका लागि तयार गरिएको ठाडो बिट र समाउन सजिलो पर्ने बिडयुक्त फलामे तथा तामाको भाँडो हो ताई।
मानो र पाथी: तामा(धातु) द्वारा मानो र पाथी बनाइन्छ। मानो अलिक सानो हुन्छ, पाथी ठूलो हुन्छ । यसको आकार माथिपट्टि फुकेको पिँध अलिक साँघुरिएको हुन्छ। घरमा नित्य व्यवहार्य सामग्री तौलनका लागि मानो वा पाथी व्यवहार गर्दछन् नेपाली समाजले। सामानहरू जस्तै चामल, पीठो, तोरी, कनिका, गहुँ, तथा तेल, दुध, घिउ, रक्सी जस्ता पनीय सामग्री पनि तौलने चलन थियो । वर्तमान यो चलन हराउदै गएको देखिन्छ।
पुनिउँ: पित्तल तथा तामाद्वारा पुनिउँ बनाइन्छ। आँटो, पिठो तथा भात चलाउन र पस्किनका लागि यो व्यवहार गर्ने गरेको पाइन्छ। यसको आकार टुप्पामा चेप्टो फराकिलो हातोसंग लामो डण्ठी जडेको हुन्छ।त्यही डण्ठीका सहायताले पुनिउँ चलाउने गरिन्छ।
दियो: तामा वा पित्तलद्वारा सानो बटुको आकारमा बनाइएको बत्ती बालने साधन हो दियो। तोरीको, तिलको तेल वा घिउमा कपासको बाती भिजाएर बत्ती बालेर देवस्थान, मन्दिर र घरमा राख्ने पात्र हो।

1.6 हात-हतियार
खुकुरी: नेपालीको जातीय हतियार हो खुकुरी। यसको महिमा धेरै ठूलो छ। भारतीय गोर्खा सैनिक, असम राईफल्समा पनि खुकुरी अनिवार्य रूपमा प्रदान गरिएको छ। राम्रो लोहालाई बान्की पारेर कोप्र्याएर खुकुरी बनाइन्छ। कलात्मक ढाँचामा बिँड हालेर यो अति सुन्दर देखिन्छ। एकै हातले चलाउन सजिलो पर्नाले पनि यसको आदर सारा विश्ववासीले गर्दछन्।
कत्ती: यो एउटा ठूलो हतियार हो। यसको प्रयोग पूजामा बलिदिने वा कुनै शुभ कार्यमा मार हान्नुपर्दा गरिन्छ। यसको वजन पनि धेरै हुन्छ। यसको एकछेउमा भएको बिँडमा दुइहातले समातेर मात्र चलाउन सकिन्छ। पाइन हालेको लोहाको कत्ती राम्रो हुन्छ।

भाला: अनुमानिक एकहाते लोहालाई एकापट्टि तिखारेर अर्कोपट्टि लामो बिँड हालिन्छ। यसरी भाला तयार हुन्छ। टाडाबाट हुत्याएर आक्रमण गर्न सजिलो पर्ने साधन हो भाला। पौराणिक कालमा यसको प्रयोग धेरै हुने गर्दथ्यो।

बञ्चरो: एकापट्टि धार भएको अर्कापट्टिको दुलोमा बिँड हालेर समात्न सजिलो पारेर दाउरा चिर्ने साधन हो बञ्चरो। यो सबै जातीले व्यवहार गर्दछन् तापनि नेपाली बञ्चरो अरूभन्दा फरक हुन्छ।
हँसिया: यो घाँस, धान, मकै, गहुँ, आदि तृण काटदा व्यवहार हुन्छ। हँसियालाई ‘कचिया’ भन्ने पनि गर्दछन्।
चुलैंसी: साग, सब्जी, तरकारी, फलमूल, ताछने काटने हतियार हो चुलैंसी। यसलाई घरका आईमाई हरूले व्यवहार गर्दछन्। यसका दुइटा खुट्टा र एउटा पुच्छर हुन्छ। जसले गर्दा यो सजिलोसंग उभि रहन्छ र काटन सजिलो पर्दछ।
कर्द: यो सानो छुरी जस्तै हो। यसलाई खुकुरीसँगै दापमा राखिन्छ।

But he was unable to open his laptop after installation. A big red error message with “Could not find c://recovery.dat” message was appeared. He show me the error. I had not seen that type of error before.
I tried many things and at last I was unable to get out of it. Then I reinstall windows 7 then, window 7 was now installed and work fine.

I make a conclusion that, ASUS recovery hidden partitions has some windows certifications. If it is not removed before installing windows 7 then, there will be conflict in the recovery and OS. So this error is shown.
If you have any idea, please share me.

Following steps were done for fresh installation:

1. Make the dvd ROM default boot device
2. restart the computer
3. press any key on keyboard to open laptop with the windows 7 installation CD.
4. Now you can see the partitions in installation process.
5. There you can see previous OS installation partitions and one hidden Recovery Partitions.
6. Delete both the partitions create new partition for fresh windows 7 installation.
7. When you create the primary partitions Recovery Partition is automatically allocated.
8. Now start you usual installation.

Enjoy Windows 7 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His entire brain staff was laughing at him.

The brain was working at 90% capacity ….. gathering and analyzing all

data on ‘How to handle women?’

Finally an answer was computed and communicated to John.

He looked up to her, and said “Of Course I remember your doggie’s birthday

… how can I forget that sweet mutt’s special day”

She looked up with utter surprise …

“HUH!!!!!!! ……. Doggy is the name of my cat you jerk”

She stood up angrily and left.

John and his brain were left there clueless ….

Student    :And is there such a thing as Cold ?

Student    :Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat.
But we don’t have anything called Cold.
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can’t go any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold.
Heat is Energy.
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD.
You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure.
Sir, Science can’t even explain a Thought.
It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that
Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.
Death is Not the Opposite of Life : just the Absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor, do you Teach your Students that they Evolved from a Monkey ?
Professor :If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student    :Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir ?
