The latest in a recent series of incidents of abuse directed at players by opposing fans is perhaps the most reprehensible yet.
The taunts of "You're not incredible" at an F.C. Porto player by Man City fans, just because he sports the name "Hulk" on his shirt, really is pushing the boundaries... of a total lack of a sense of both humour and irony on the part of the Porto officials.
The player readily claimed the nickname due to his physical resemblance to the comic book character, so what are they claiming?
That he is, without question, incredible, and to suggest otherwise is superhero -ist abuse?
Wouldn't it have been better to respond to the chants in kind and say "Don't make him angry - you wouldn't want to see him when he's angry."

I mean, seriously, with all the recent cases of abuse, isn't a bit of amusing banter just the antidote football needs at the moment?

PRATS Meets • Next PRATS meet

In consultation with the Godfather of PRATS we have a couple of dates to suggest for the next PRATS meet.

So - to that end I thought it would be a good idea to get a poll going to see which would be the most mutually convenient (blimey, can you tell I work for local government?) date! I'll keep the poll going for 10 days to give people a chance to see it and provide an answer.

Planet Rock • ELUSIVE ALBUMS YOU FINALLY 'NAILED' AFTER MANY MOONS!

We all must have those elusive albums we've being 'trying to nail' for years - decades even! One band I've being trying to get hold of ANY album from is 'The Drowning Season' - superb band from Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

Heard their stuff played at a number of venues down the years - not least at The Wendy House in Leeds and at SNAFU in Rotherham but I've never been able to acquire anything by the band.

EUREKA! After many years of trying on Ebay and Amazon I finally managed to nail a copy of the very rare 'Hollow' album by the band from a guy residing in Russia no less - just 10 days ago! Paid £18-00 plus £7-50 for registered mail from Russia but it was well worth it - superb band, superb album!

Just a wee taster from the album - ENJOY PEEPS! They are rather good!

Now it's time to track down 'Curse' - another classic album by The Drowning Season - from Russia again maybe?
