Churches are currently being rebuilt, and new ones are being launched. Believers are engaging in house-to-house evangelism and visits. As a result, the number of believers is increasing, and the area is opening up to the Gospel. This region faces a high influence from groups that do not proclaim the Gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone. There is ongoing persecution and oppression of minority Christians. Due to the harsh realities of the land, attention to farming responsibilities can make it difficult for the church to remain functional. Pray that God’s Spirit will dwell in this place and raise up strong pastors and disciples. Pray for love and peace to restrain persecution in the region.

Somalis of East Africa and Diaspora: Recently, my “person of peace” invited me to her house to offer counseling to “Mary.” When I met her four years ago, she was full of energy despite her circumstances—having four children and living with a depressed husband who beat her. She shared that the villagers had been hurling insults at her. They would call her a madwoman while she was on her way to the market, to the point that she now believes she is one. She told me that her veil covers the tears and pain, and that it has become her best companion. She told me, “women in my faith are suffering too much and have no voice.” She asked me to pray, and I asked Jesus to heal her husband and children. As we were escorting her to get her transport back to her village, I told her that whenever she feels defeated and fearful, she should call on the Name of Jesus. I don’t know how she took it, but I asked her to give it a try.

Please pray for protection, good health, and safe travel throughout their journey. Ask the Lord to grant wisdom, discernment, and favour in every meeting and activity. We heard from the wife of one of our imprisoned brothers that two days ago his mother went to be with the Lord. Please pray for his heart as he learns of this news. The wife is asking that he be released to attend the funeral. That would be a miracle, but let’s pray that happens.

African Diaspora: Praise the Lord for the “petit groupe” who recently took a trip together and had fun hiking and canoeing. The Lord opened up wonderful opportunities for these four believing ladies to share again the hope they have in Jesus with their five North African friends. And of course, they enjoyed Tajine, Couscous and mint tea! The five ladies have been studying the scriptures now for almost three years—some have even come to church. Please pray for spiritual breakthroughs—that this Jesus they read about in the gospels is not just a wonderful prophet, but that they would recognize him as their savior.

Arabs of North Africa: Many Arabs across North Africa celebrated Eid al-Adha last week, a holiday that commemorates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son. Families gather to slaughter sheep and share meals as they reflect on the meaning of sacrifice and devotion to God. For our teams serving among this largely unreached people group, this season provides a natural opportunity to point friends and neighbors to the greater sacrifice God provided through Jesus Christ. As they join local families for meals and conversations, many have opportunity to sharing the good news that Jesus is the Lamb of God who was slain for the sins of the world. Pray that many would recognize Jesus as the true Lamb of God and receive Him as Lord and Savior.

Ask that these trials would not weaken them, but instead strengthen their faith and grow the Church deep and strong. Pray against the ‘flaming arrows’ of fear, and ask that God would protect His people, anchoring them in a deep and abiding love for Jesus. Pray for those serving in frontline ministry, that they would be sustained, encouraged, and upheld through the prayers of others. Ask that God’s light would shine powerfully in this region, drawing many out of darkness and into the saving grace of Christ. And as we pray, let’s ask with expectation—that God would do far more than we can ask or imagine, building His Church and transforming lives even in the midst of opposition.

Makhuwa Nahara of Mozambique: Our oral translation team has recently completed translating The Song of Moses as part of a larger translation project of the book of Exodus. The team is preparing for the much larger task of translating the entire New Testament orally. Two Gospels have been completed. Work of this kingdom significance rarely goes uncontested, and this season was no exception. The team pressed through a regional fuel shortage, a serious illness among one of their young children, and personal burdens carried by their leader for his son’s difficulties at college. Yet the Lord sustained them through it all. Fuel was provided, the child recovered, the son is working hard, and the translation was completed — described by the team as one of the richest and most meaningful passages they have worked on. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness! Pray for continued protection, endurance and spiritual insights for the Translators. Pray that the translated Word will be faithful and clear — carrying the full weight of its meaning. Pray that those who have never encountered the Word of God might hear it spoken in their own tongue, receive it with gladness, and be saved.

Nuba Mtn Muslim UPGs: Many in the Nuba Mountains are exhausted after days of instability, interrupted sleep, and uncertainty. Some families remain unable to travel because key roads are considered too dangerous. Others are sheltering multiple displaced relatives in already crowded homes. One local worker described hearing bursts of gunfire while praying quietly with a small group of believers gathered indoors. Despite fear, they chose to continue praying together for peace and protection over their communities. Pray for supernatural protection over those unable to evacuate safely. Pray for open paths of escape where needed and wisdom about when to move or stay. Pray for physical provision—food, clean water, medicine, and rest—for displaced families. Pray for restraint among armed groups and for violence to de-escalate rapidly. Above all pray that the hope of the Gospel would remain visible in the lives of believers through acts of compassion, courage, and unity during this crisis.

Bara of Madagascar: The Great Commission continues from generation to generation, and we are grateful for the privilege of serving among people who still have little access to the good news of Jesus Christ. One of the greatest encouragements has been seeing younger believers joyfully embracing the call to go, serve, and proclaim Christ. Please pray that God would continue awakening His Church — especially the next generation — to carry the Gospel to places where His name is still not widely known. “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4. Pray for hearts to be open to the Gospel and for unreached communities to come into the Kingdom of God.

Chadian Arabs: Please pray for wisdom regarding the future of the English Centre, with so many unknowns about staffing due to the visa situation. Ask that God would provide the right people at the right time and continue His work without interruption. Pray that students would feel compelled to keep reading God’s Word and growing in faith, even if they are no longer able to attend formal classes. Above all, pray that through every challenge, God would be changing hearts and drawing many Chadians to Himself. May this be a ‘Gideon moment’ for Chad—where even with fewer workers, the seeds sown would bear lasting spiritual fruit, multiplied far beyond what we can see.
