Ansewered Prayer

Today I realized again that prayers are answered and how blessed I am in my life!

I went in for a procedure today and I have been praying about it for the last month. I have prayed for my health and for knowledge, wisdom, discernment and understand for the doctor and everyone involved. I didn't wait until the last minute and pray! I prayed right away and every day.

And, it does make a difference! Everything went fine and I feel great and it was much easier than I could have ever imagined. My prayer and the prayer of others sure helped.

All of this to say that I AM BLESSED and my FAMILY IS BLESSED!

Never give up on God and always keep your communications lines open!

Prayer Request

Prayer Request

I get lots of prayer requests at the web site each day for so many different things!

Many of the prayer requests have to do with finances and folks that are behind on their home and car payments and are to the point that they will lose what they have.

Still others have spouses that have got up and moved out and left the family and everything behind.

Yet others leave prayer requests for healing and health and general wellness. Still others for family and friends that are in the hospital.

It's pretty awesome to know that so many folks are praying to God and that He listens to each and every one and moves in some way on their requests!

Just so you know, I'm not judging these people at all. I believe and know it's awesome and a calling that God has placed on our hearts to pray for these folks. I want the best for them and the best life! And, for them to know an Awesome God!

I'm so thankful that people allow us to pray for them and their prayer request. I'm in awe each day as I open the prayer requests and pray for them.

The Lord Prayer

The Lord Prayer

There are a lot of requests for this prayer so I thought I'd be sure to share it with you right here so you can have a copy for yourself and know where to find it in your Bible.

The Lord Prayer or The Lord's Prayer is shared with us in the New Testament of the Bible in Matthew 6 and starts with verse 9.

Probably the most common or well known prayer is the wording out of the King James version of the Bible.

Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
Amen.

There are other interpretations that are great, too. If you're having problems understanding or connecting with one, be sure to check out another bible and see if it doesn't make more sense to you. Here are two more.

Here's the same The Lord Prayer or The Lord's Prayer out of the New Living Translation.

Our Father in heaven,
May your name be honored.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done here on earth just as it is in heaven.
Give us our food for today, and forgive us our sins,
just as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us.
And don't let us yield to temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
Amen.

Here's yet one last interpretation of The Lord's Prayer out of the Contemporary English Version of the Bible.

Our Father in heaven,
Help us to honor your name.
Come and set up your kingdom, so that everyone on earth will obey you,
as you are obeyed in heaven.
Give us our food for today.
Forgive us for doing wrong, as we forgive others.
Keep us from being tempted and protect us from evil.
Amen.

Use any one of these as a model for your own prayers since Jesus taught us to pray this prayer.
