The Mac nerds in the crowd might remember Sebastiaan’s fantastic Exploded Settings tee. If you don’t tho, that’s totally fine. This design is a celebration of the blue legos that show up in place of Flash content on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. I, for one, hate Flash with a passion.  If you follow me on Twitter, that’s really no secret. I earnestly want to see it stamped out by the likes of HTML5, CSS 3 and Apple’s assorted mobile products. So you can bet your ass that I’ll throw down $22.50 when this unassuming bad boy drops.

That’s from Conan’s last Tonight Show a little more than a week ago, and the sentiment is something that really resonated with me. Apparently it moved enough folks to merit the Threadless submission above, a wallpaper and a Facebook Group. So in the interest of helping the cause along, I encourage you to go show it some love. I mean, you really don’t have to. But just know that sitting on your hands may make you come off as some sort of Leno sympathizer. Just sayin’…

You pierced the stratosphere to make sure it was safe for the scientists to go up.  Were it not for you, Alan Shepard would have never had the chance to play that round of golf on the moon.

Now I’m not fully aware of the crossover potential between anime and punk rock — but I guess if someone’s making a tee with hefty hat tips to both cultures, it must exist. I mean, it has to, right?

While it may mostly appeal to the ironic hipster types, this shirt made me laugh out loud the moment I saw it. And since that’s kind of rare, I feel like I had to run it — hipster appeal or not.

Don’t go getting used to me running these sorts of tees, trustafarians. Unless it makes me lollerskate, it’s never gonna show up here. Consider it a commitment to quality. And by that, I mean a commitment to not being annoying.

While these aren’t exactly t-shirts that you can wear — which is what I try to stick to — they’re just too rad to ignore.  Preshrunk pal Scott Beale pointed out these tee inspired tea bags from designer Soon Mo Kang.  And while they may not be the most functional tea bags (since all of them I know of have a tendency to float when immersed in even a minor amount of water) they’re still pretty damn clever. Also, they come packaged in their own closet. Which is nothing short of epic as far as I’m concerned.

Unfortunately, it looks like they’re nothing more than a concept design at the moment. That’s a damn shame too. I know I’d buy at least a few boxes if they were for sale somewhere.

David put out a whole assload of great new shirts not that long ago, but I’m going to run one that I’ve kinda been sitting on for a bit — the wonderfully absurd “I’ll Never Stop Pooping“.

Yeah, that’s right.  A dog shitting a rainbow.  There’s something that’s always struck me as sorta fantastic about that.  And while it may be kind of juvenile, it also hits me on that “absurd Japanese t-shirt” level.

Also, I like to poop.  Like a lot.  Seriously.  Ask my fiancee if you don’t believe me.  I talk about it all the time.  In fact, after reflecting on it, I think it’s something I ought to talk with my shrink about…

The most surprising thing about this tee doesn’t have anything to do with the design however.  It has to do more with the fact that nobody has grabbed @stupid as their nom de tweet.  Well, at least they haven’t at the time of this post.  Who knows how soon that’ll change tho…

I’ve always been about attention to detail in designs — and this one does not disappoint. An embroidered version of Panic’s Coda logo looks as if it were sketched onto the shirt. It’s a noisy, yet minimal masterpiece.

If they stopped there, that would have been fine by me. But they didn’t! Using the same green thread, they took the American Apparel blank and gussied it up a bit by adding some accent stitching along the seams. It’s a really nice touch that probably added a little bit more to the cost of the shirt during production. Even if it didn’t tho, I’m glad that they decided to add that little extra flair.

While I’ve always had a bit of a soft-spot for the pixelated work of my favorite internet cartoonist, I’ve gotta admit that I really enjoy when he strays from his wheelhouse.  This design has sort of a Saul Bass vibe.  Well, maybe a little less angular — but it’s still really playful in all the right ways.

This tee has also managed to remind me that I could upgrade my iPhone to a 3GS.  Well, at least now that AT&T has deemed me eligible for one.  But the last thing I want to do is find out that the next upgrade (which will probably come out sometime this year) has something awesome built in.  Like a flux capacitor.  Or the Verizon network.  No way in hell am I going to miss something like that.

Looks like I’ll have to keep sticking with last year’s model for now.
