black rose minerals eyeshadow in capt. kuchiki. this is one of the colors in soul reaper collection. i fell in love with the color when i saw the swatch on the facebook page. but it wasn't available yet at the time i made my last order. i was so glad rosa included this sample as freebie with my purchase.

the color is described as 'cherry blossom pink glistens and sparkles with pink shimmer'.

the color on my lids. it's not as bright pink as shown the eyeball swatch on the website. i dust on the color lightly since i'm not so sure if this pink will make me look like i'm crying.

i love how soft and pretty this look on my eyes. i did not look like i'm crying at all!

i don't talk much about skin care routines because it's simple and minimal and it's been the same for years.

my skin has not been behaving since last summer. most affordable creams i tried don't provide the magic i'm after. i know it's impossible but i really wish there are something magical!

i've thought about trying skin cares from silk naturals for ages and i finally decided to plunge in.

the empy bottles of serums and moisturizers samples. price for the samples range from usd$1.99 to $2.99, depends on the product.

i didn't ordered all these at once. i ordered the ones that i really wanted to try with my first order. then i decided i should try others with my 2nd order.

i'm quite impressed with the fast shipping. both orders were shipped 2nd day after order and arrived australia in less than 2 weeks.

each sample lasts about a week. you can't really see results with these samples, but they're enough to let you see if you're allergic, to feel what it's like, and to see it's good enough to invest in full size.

i ended up ordering super defense serum and intensive moisturizer after sampling. they come in 1oz bottles.

silk naturals raised shipping fees just when i was about to order these. the shipping fee was almost usd$10 (including other samples i ordered). i know that they are heavier than makeups so it's inevitable having to pay for more fees. it's one reason i hesitated about buying skin / body care products online.

the product is almost clear with consistency thicker than water and thinner than gel.

i apply serum beautyqq's way - 2 pumps of product to the palm, lightly rubbed between the palm and pat onto the face. according to her the lightly patting motion promotes blood curculation. her channel is in chinese but the way she applies serums and foundations is quite self explanatory.

this serum feels a bit sticky. not the super glue kind of sticky. you can feel bit of stickiness while doing the patting acting with the palm. this doesn't bother me. the face doesn't feel sticky at all afterwards.

intensive moisturizer, usd $16.95. it also comes in 1oz bottole.

most lotions for dry skin are thick and heavy. the texture is not like your normal lotion or cream. this one is almost gel like, but thicker than gel and very lightweighted. i doubted if it's sufficient for my dry skin. it was good enough before winter. now i need something extra on top of it.

both comes with a pump interface. i like that it's hygenic and ease of use. but like most products that comes in pump, eventually products can't be pumped out near the end. the pump can be twisted open to get more products.

both are scentless. big bonus!

both products leaves makes my skin feels soft, smooth and refreshed.

i've been using these as part of my night time skin care routine. website says they last about a month, probably assuming used day and night. i've been using only at nights for about 6 weeks and there are still quite a lot of products left.

some of the promises for the moisturizer includes improvements to fine lines and pore sizes - some of my biggest concerns. no major noticiable improvements in this aspect.

seriously i never believe apply something on the surface of the skin can do something magical. you need 'deep skin' treatments and interventions.

nevertheless, i love both the serum and the moisturizer. mainly because i love how refreshed my skin feels after application. they are great for summer months when my skin is less dry. i love the affordable price. i'm considering getting them next summer.

i can't remember the price. i got it from priceline quite a while ago. rrp under aud$10. of course i got it when it was discounted.

i have been removing eye makeups with extra virgin olive oil for a long time. this is the first eye makeup remover product i've used in recent years.

i haven't used eye makeup remover product for a long time because most of them sting my eyes especially when trying to remove makeups at waterline or mascara.

what attracted me is the tag line 'suitable for contact lens wearers'.

my thoughts

this is truely as gentle as it can be. it doesn't sting my eyes when trying to remove makeup very close to the eyes. it removes makeup at waterlines effectively.

i like that it's non-greasy. the eye area feels quite refreshed after using.

it can also be used to fix makeup mistakes and does not affect makeups applied over it.

the only downside is when removing waterproof mascara completely, there are still some bits of residue left.

i don't wear contact lenses anymore, so i don't know if it's gentle enough for contact lens wearers.

the verdict? i'm loving it! it works effectively for me. in fact i thought it was so great i went to get a 2nd bottle while it was still discounted.

a no-makeup makeup with silk naturals tinker

silk naturals eyeshadow in tinker. it was a gift with purchase from a recent order.

it was a skin care order. i tried some samples and really like them. i have a 1/2 written post about them.

i didn't get any makeups. i really wanted to but controlled myself. in fact i managed to hold back buying more makeups even though there have been some attractive discount coupons floating around. need a pat!!

the color looks shimmery beige.

it's almost no color on my lids. another perfect eyeshadow for no-makeup looks! the camera failed to capture the pretty shimmer.

vaseline intensive rescue soothing hand cream review

vaseline intensive rescue soothing hand cream for dry skin. another product i bought quite a while ago. rrp around aud$6.

this comes in a big flat top flip cap that can stand upright.

the hand cream is of medium consistency. it's not too thick and can be easily blended.

hands feel nourished and not too greasy.

however, i can't stand the strong unpleasing fragrance. i don't know how to describe the fragrance - i'm very bad at it. it's not the strong cosmetic smell. something like baby powder? it could have been better if it's lightly fragranced. it's too overpowering and lingers for quite a while.

needless to say, i don't like it. mainly because of the smell.
