			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When it comes to golf ball retrievers, this is the most valuable club in my bag. OK&#8230; It&#8217;s not really a club, but it is extremely valuable. With the cost of some golf balls topping $5 each, I just cant stomach the idea of leaving a perfectly good soldier behind.</p>
<p>A few weeks ago a vendor contacted me with his latest golf ball retriever invention. At first I thought that it would be a waste of time, but then I tried it out.</p>

<p>What I found was that from a functionality point of view, it worked great.  I was able to spot the ball, lay the patented claw right over the ball and scoop it up.  You would not believe some of the ridiculous contraptions I have seen over the years. I also liked how the exterior casing had a huge area for the logo. The case actually stays attached to the unit while it is in use, so you don&#8217;t have to take it on and off.</p>

<p>Another feature that surprised me was how light the product was.  Made with a fiberglass shaft, it couldn&#8217;t weigh more than 8 ounces. It also comes with a 2 year warranty. The minimum order quantity for custom logo branding is 24 pieces and the price is $25 each.  Orders for 150 pieces is $20 each.</p>

These options include magazine and newspaper advertisement, billboards, Web Advertising, TV and Radio spots to name a few. But those still require a sizable investment and once my budget runs out, I am no longer visible.  The ideas below are tested, cost effective and will guarantee results.</p>

<li>Provide information to your clients that educate them.</li>

<li>Define a list of 100 to 250 prospects that will be our focus.</li>
<li>Create a <a href="http://www.professionalgifting.com/2009/06/unique-direct-mail/" target="_blank">&#8220;Lumpy Fat Mail&#8221;</a> campaign for these prospects.</li>
<li>Create a marketing calendar.</li>
<li>Follow up religiously.</li>
<li>Keep your list clean.</li>

<p>I recently read a book by Chet Holmes called &#8220;The Ultimate Sales Machine&#8221; that supports using creative mail to gain recognition within your prospects mind. While the suggestions in the book may seem corny or plain, we have found a number of great ways to kick his program up a knotch and deliver the WOW FACTOR.</p>
<p>Have you ever heard of Variable Data Printing? This process is typically known for simply dropping in the individuals name that you are mailing into different parts of your marketing copy.  But what if you could make it change photographs?</p>

When you call and get through to the gate keeper.  Tell that person that Mr. &#8220;X&#8221; has an important construction project in the works and you need to speak with him immediately.</p>

<p>The tool itself can be shaped to look just like your product and you can use multiple colors. If you order them with the ball marker, the marker can also be customized to the shape of your product or logo. When you put the marker in your pocket, it easily finds the magnetic tool so it rarely gets lost. It also has a very simple cardboard folder that shows how to properly fix a divot. This can also be customized.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span>The <a href="http://archinte.ama-assn.org/" target="_blank">Archives of Internal Medicine</a> published a comprehensive research study last week entitled &#8220;Effect of Exposure to Small Pharmaceutical Promotional Items on Treatment Preferences.&#8221; The goal was to find out whether or not ad specialties influenced the attitudes of medical students toward the products that were being marketed. The findings: Yes they do. Distributors aren&#8217;t surprised. &#8220;I think it&#8217;s true. A lot of people at a lot of companies and businesses appreciate a gift,&#8221; says Kathleen Patton, president of Foley Associates, who often lectures about the effectiveness of promotional products at colleges. Lisa Davila, president of Bdazle Promotions, agrees with the findings of the study about the impact of low-cost promotional items. &#8220;It makes complete sense,&#8221; she says. <strong>&#8220;The more familiar you are with a brand, the more comfortable you are using it. The more you see a label or logo, the more it makes you feel warm and fuzzy.&#8221;</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Because of the tightening guidelines regarding the use of promotional products in the medical field, four doctors decided to attempt to find out if the restrictions were really necessary. Their premise was that you &#8220;often assume that small promotional items are unlikely to influence prescribing behavior,&#8221; says the report. This attitude is, according to their findings, incorrect. They wanted to know: Do promotional products produce a more favorable attitude and do the policies against them work? The controlled experiment involved 352 third- and fourth-year med students at the University of Miami School of Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (where restrictive </span>policies are in place limiting drug marketing). They were all exposed to branded Lipitor items without knowledge that they were part of a study. Fourth-year students at Miami had a more favorable attitude (by a score of 0.66) toward Lipitor compared to the control group (0.47). The scores were derived from an <a href="https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/" target="_blank">Implicit Association Test</a>.</p>
<p><span>While the findings are powerful, the debate as to whether such influence is in fact harmful is an entirely different story, says Davila. &#8220;It&#8217;s a double edged sword,&#8221; she says. &#8220;There are plenty of products that work but they may not think of it. If it&#8217;s an allergy medication, many of which are the same, which will they prescribe? Probably the one that&#8217;s sitting on their desk [in the form of an ad specialty]. On the negative side, it could hurt smaller companies that have a good product and aren&#8217;t spending on promotional products.&#8221;</span><span> </span></p>

<p>The R9 Driver is most likely the hottest piece of equipment available this year. It allows you to adjust the head to draw or fade the ball and also allows you to adjust the loft.  There are also different weight settings that can be changed . </p>
<p>Our clients have been using these in &#8220;Gift with Purchase&#8221; programs or as door prizes at golf events.  In fact, <strong>we are offering a free driver </strong>with any apparel order over $5000.</p>
