License info

Starting from February 1st. 2010, using CU3ER in commercial web templates/themes intended for re-selling to third parties, require obtaining license for fee of $990 USD per theme/template.

Here are couple of notes you should have on mind if you want to use CU3ER in web templates/themes intended for reselling to third parties:

  • License fee for usage and distributing CU3ER v0.9.2 in web templates/themes after February 1st, 2010 is USD 990.00 per template. Price is referring to v0.9.2 usage and distribution, and license fee is subject to change once CU3ER v1 is released.
  • For all web templates/themes already in marketplaces and those which will appear prior to February 1st, 2010. license is free.
  • License is valid for all 0.9.x and 1.x version releases.
  • There will not be additional license fee for templates already using CU3ER v0.9.2 and upgrading to v1.
  • Including CU3ER’s end user license agreement file within CU3ER related files is mandatory.
  • Selling CU3ER as standalone application is not allowed.
  • There should not be any limitations/restrictions in web templates/themes regarding to CU3ER implementation and/or configuration, which will require additional fee for making CU3ER fully functional from your end.
  • All others restrictions in current license not mentioned and/or updated here apply to this license as well.

Obtaining this license you are qualified to:

  • Embed/use CU3ER in 1 (one) of your web theme/template intended for selling to third parties
  • Distribute CU3ER and all related files within your downloadable theme/template package
  • Get 1 (one) free premium account for theme/template author including usage of our brand new CU3ER manager application for developing and configuring CU3ER once v1 is out
  • Get 1 (one) free premium account for theme/template unique buyer if you are selling your theme/template for unique price as well (meaning, once third party buys theme/template for unique price that person become unique owner of that design and that theme/template is permanently removed from marketplace and is not available to other customers ever again.)
  • update to CU3ER v1.x without charge – no additional fees.

CU3ER is very specific solution and it’s not applicable in most cases. Yes, it’s true. CU3ER is designed in mind to be unique solution, not to be king-of-the-all-slideshows. I guess I have to agree with you but here I want to point out one of the really big advantages CU3ER have over the other similar scripts – fully customizable user interface! Meaning you can adjust position, dimension, color, tween time & delay, specify round corners attribute and type of symbol you would like to use. That’s pretty robust set of settings you can adjust to make your slideshow UI unique and perfectly blend it with rest of your site.

If you wonder where to start, please check official CU3ER documentation – there is already in depth explanation of available settings and attributes you can alter to take advantage of having custom user interface.
