hybrid query by ladyofhoward: What occurs to the batteries from hybrid automobiles when they “die?”?
I have heard that the batteries in hybrid autos last for about 100K miles. I am concerned with how, or what occurs to the old batteries. Are they recycled, and how are they recycled. Is it great for the enviornment. Could I, and the enviorment, be much better off purchasing a non-hybrid car?
