The rate of the violence cases in our country was clearly noticed. That's why, tourist are now sacred to visit our country due to this problem. It is speculated that it was due to the crisis that we are experiencing because the rate is higher compared on the previous years. There is also an increase in the rate of the robbery cases in our country. In fact, the news broke out today that there was another robbery case in Wichita, Kansas. Two unidentified robber attempted to rob a payday store. Luckily, an employee saw the two coming and alerted the police with a phone call. The two robbers fled when they surmised that they won't succeed. The rash of robberies of payday lenders hasn't begun subsiding, as they have become more popular targets than traditional robberies, like liquor stores and banks, but there's at least one store in Kansas they won't be getting for awhile. Torture, the intentional infliction of severe pain or suffering on someone under the custody or control of the perpetrator, is one of the most serious international crimes. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most common, particularly when the victim is in police custody or prison (for example, the recent use of torture by the United States against alleged terrorists in its custody). Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions prohibits ''violence to life and person,'' in particular ''mutilation, cruel treatment and torture'' and also prohibits ''outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment''. These terms include ''other forms of cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment or punishment." The drafters of common Article 3 avoided a detailed list of prohibited acts in order to ensure that it had the broadest possible reach, leaving no loophole. The FDA is mulling a ban of any acetaminophen products other than pain relievers, and people are calling for a bigger warning and package redesign, which means Big Pharma might need unsecured loans to deal with acetaminophen revenue losses.

Thank you VERY much for discussing modern day slavery. I've written about such slavery as it relates to the sexual exploitation of females; however, men and young boys are equally exploited for labor/service industry purposes in cruel and greedy ways. You mentioned that we must, "reshape the entire conversation on immigration, and recognize the great value in accepting those who work to make their dreams come true and keep their families safe." I couldn't agree more.

Unfortunately, manipulation and captivity are human rights abuses suffered by many vulnerable foreigners. Thanks for helping bring this issue to light and spreading awareness through dialogue! Let's reshape conversation and recognize the contributions made by foreigners/immigrants who suffer exploitive scams to the benefit of this country.

The thought of him came up once during the writing of the Ramirez post (did we mention this to each other or was it just in my head?), but that post was focused as it was for a reason of course. So I'm glad to see his name back in the conversation where it certainly belongs.

In my own opinion, postponing the anti-immigrant reform is just provoking the crusaders to protest more. Just like what I read in a while ago about Brisenia Family it was really heart-breaking. How could people do such devious act? If only Flores is here I'm quite sure she will love to go at Youngstown Air Show in Ohio to watch and enjoy the different exhibitions, but because of what happen all we can do is seek justice for her and her father. So I'm appealing to the administration, stop doing nonsense reforms but instead take a further look to what your people really needs.
