2012 PS Virtual Skate Off

ProSkaters' next Virtual Skate Off has just started and for the first time the PUBLIC will get to choose the winner! Thats right, non-ProSkater members and non-skating friends can vote. Help bring back the excitement of professional skating by showing off your own performance to friends and family around the globe. Lace up those skates and get rolling on something everyone will love this year!

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Deadline:

You have till June 1, 2012 to post your video.

Elimination Rounds:

1st Round will be judged by the PUBLIC to choose the TOP 5 in each category.

2nd Round to be judged by ProSkater members, where the winners will be chosen.

Cash Prizes:

1st place $500 value

2nd place $250 value

3rd place $125 value

Categories:

Men's singles

Women's singles

Pairs/ Adagio

Specialty Acts - i.e. Comedy/ Show acts- e.g aerial, acrobat, etc.

Choreography - group of 5 or more

Clarified Rules:

All submitters MUST be current PS members to be eligible to participate in the competition.
You, the submitter, MUST be the original choreographer of each category.
The submitter of the video MUST be the participant in the video in all categories except the Choreography category.
In the Choreography category it is acceptable if the submitter does not skate in the production number.
All videos must be within the current calendar year of 2012 to the deadline.
All Submissions must be original programs. (If it was choreographed for you for a professional show i.e. Holiday on Ice, Disney on Ice, Broadway on Ice, etc., the performance will not qualify.)
You may compete in more than one category.
Programs should be between 2-5 minutes in length.
No video editing allowed in the Men's, Women's and Pairs categories.
Specialty Act and Production numbers may have video editing.Take advantage of this and be creative!
Props and scenery are allowed.
*No Nudity* No vulgar language in lyrics of song* No vulgar use of props.

THIS COMPETITION IS BEING JUDGED FOR ENTERTAINMENT VALUE!! GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!
