<p>There is a really <a href="http://www.feng-gui.com" target="_blank">great tool</a> that allows you to check out how your customers&#8217; eyes travel when they look at your site.  We discovered this tool through <a href="http://seoroi.com/blog/" target="_blank">seo consultant, Gab Goldenberg</a>.</p>
<p>The tool allows you to see the likely path of eyeballs (human eye simulation) on your site based on:</p>

<li>Color of objects on the page</li>
<li>Density of objects and color on the page</li>
<li>Orientation of objects on screen</li>
<li>Intensity of colors on the page</li>

We&#8217;re not talking just the Christmas card list&#8230; everyone!  We have provided a handy checklist that you can use to help.</p>
<p>Once you have all of these people in your database call them and say the following:</p>
<p>&#8220;Hi, this is {your name}.  I&#8217;m trying to launch my website and get it to rank higher in the search engines.  To do this, I need to get people with websites or pages to link to my website.  Do you happen to have a website that you could link to me from?  I would be happy to provide a testimonial for your business or write an article or something for you if it would help.&#8221;</p>
<p>If they don&#8217;t (or even if they do), make sure that you then ask them permission to contact at least two other people that they might know who have access to a site that they could link to your from.</p>
