My husband and I recently where lucky enough to spend three weeks in this beautiful, laid-back country. We’ve both traveled to many places around the world (especially in tropical areas!) and Belize has always been our favorite vacation spot.

Now whenever I’m asked what place I’d recommend for the best snorkeling, diving, or beach bumming, I always say Belize.

And of course that always seems to be followed with a confused look and the question, “where is Belize?”

Its such a shame that more people don’t know about this incredible place (on second thought, maybe not! The quiet, non-touristy feel of this whole place is what makes it so special!).

Based on my own travel experiences and from anyone I’ve ever spoke to about Belize everyone just loves it because of its relaxing atmosphere, friendly laid-back people, jungle and beach activities, as well as a bio-diverse area teeming with unique wildlife and plants.

If you’re traveling to Belize you have many options.

You can just fly there and book a hotel or resort. You can book a western Caribbean cruise and include Belize City as one of the ports-of-call.

Or, and these are my favorites, book one of many Belize vacation packages or adventure tours. Usually, booking your travel in a package or going on a small group tour will save you more money and a lot of stress in vacation planning.
