                    HUD has released the NOFA for their 2012 Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities Project Rental Assistance Demonstration.        &lt;/div&gt;
        &lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Department of Housing and Urban Development has issued the Notice of Funding Availability for their 2012 Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities Project Rental Assistance Demonstration (PRA Demo) Program. The Section 811 PRA Demo will offer $85 million in funding through the NOFA to state agencies to provide affordable supportive housing for people with disabilities.&lt;/p&gt;

                    Home sales data show fluctuations in price, sales volume across Connecticut.        &lt;/div&gt;

&lt;p&gt;March home sales and price data released by The Warren Group show increased sales volume, with prices in 53 of the state&amp;rsquo;s towns on the rise. For the state, the year-to-date single-family median home sales price was $215,000 in March, down 6.5% from a year ago.&amp;nbsp; Sales volume increased by 4.6%, however, with significant fluctuations across the state.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In a move to facilitate place-based decision-making, enhance community participation and provide greater transparency regarding where federal investments are made, the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HUD&amp;rsquo;s Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) has released new Consolidated Plan (ConPlan) data and mapping tools.&amp;nbsp; The tools included in the new eCon Planning Suite include an expanded planning database, a new mapping tool called CPD Maps, and an electronic template for submitting the Consolidated Plan.&lt;/p&gt;

    <title>Fair Housing Group Issues Trends Report</title>

                    In 2011 private non-profit fair housing organizations investigated 65% of the 27,092 housing discrimination complaints filed.        &lt;/div&gt;
        &lt;/div&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The National Fair Housing Alliance recently released its 2012 Fair Housing Trends Report. The report shows that 44% of the 2011 complaint filings were due to discrimination against people with disabilities. 20% of the cases were filed for racial discrimination, familial status accounted for 13% of the cases and national origin and gender each accounted for 5% of the cases.&lt;/p&gt;

                    In CT, 51,000 (6%) of children have been affected by foreclosures of owner-occupied homes.         &lt;/div&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In CT, 51,000 children (6% of the children in CT) have been affected by foreclosures of owner-occupied homes.&amp;nbsp; This is according to a recent brief by First Focus and the Brookings Institution that generated estimates of the numbers of children affected by the mortgage crisis by combining state estimates on foreclosures with Census Bureau data on the living arrangements of families with children.&lt;/p&gt;

    <title>CHFA Issues RFP for Capital Plan</title>

                    The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority has issued an RFP for the development of a Capital Plan.        &lt;/div&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) has put out a request for proposal from qualified professionals for a plan for capital improvements and redevelopment of State-sponsored Housing throughout Connecticut (the &amp;ldquo;Capital Plan&amp;rdquo;). The purpose of the Capital Plan is to identify and prioritize a $300 million capital investment over the next ten years in order to preserve and revitalize the State-sponsored Housing Portfolio.&lt;/p&gt;
