Ok folks first I need to say sorry for not posting.... I've been busy with the new Fulcrum Mobile business and preparing for a big introduction. I have notice the traffic of this site way up and I find it very interesting... Blogging is tough because you like talk to yourself it seems.

Anyways

The tip of the week is

Give it all you got! No really.... If your not pushing yourself most of the week (I know 4 hour work book readers) it's hard to be successful. For those that really want the 4 hour work week, I'm not sure if your trying to not work or just work smarter and get things done. Yet, most successful people have or had many sleepless nights. I'd say 60 hrs is the least you should be working. You can take breaks but really getting the man hours and spending time with yourself and work. If you work 40 hours a week on a normal 8 hour shift I'd say 20-30 should be doing something else productive or put in work to help you in the future.

Last week I watched "Born Rich" and I was very intrigued by the lives of extremely wealth kids around college age. Grandparents left billions and they have to focus on finding a life because in todays culture life is about working and work is about making a living. These individuals don' t have to work and so they talk about living "Born Rich". I think they experience a lot of pain, and the biggest problem is no vision or no major reason to try to survive and build something....

I love working to achieve and hopefully I can leave my kids with something and change my families history and many lives. In the mean time I have lots of fun in my profession.

I'm here this day to tell you that there will be a few different kind of people in the future that come out of the information period. You do know that we are in that time right? Where we are finding ways to connect and relate. Rather its for sales or its just to seek enlightenment.

Social Networking for a reason...

My thought for today deals with social networks. I love socials networks for the value of reconnecting and learning about people and businesses. These people are in my network of friends and or business relationships primarily on linkedin...

One thing I'm unsure of is how powerful these social mediums provide for the professional and business. I'm sure they provide something but I would like to find the person that has a social network that has made a million on social network connections that started from nothing or just measurements of what it provided. Most of the time it doesn't but I believe that it can and will if you don't over think it and have a strategy.

This comes to me because so many people want 50k twitter fans or want to really build there social networks. Having a focus on what you plan to do and how you plan to use the networks is a must! For me, Facebook is for a little business and more pleasure while linkedin is always business. Moving forward I'm going to do social media less because it is distracting. I'll focus on my blog and my business internally and begin to do more quantitative measuring rather something is worth the time. (Sorry folks but we are wasting a lot of time on social networks)

A business should have a social networking strategy that defines the reasoning behind getting involved with the social world. But, the individual should think somewhat they same as a business.

While in Chicago I met a guy that work for Food Lion, a chain of 1200 grocery stores, and his stores not only had a social strategy but they have branded profiles on facebook, twitter and youtube. To top it off they even had a mobile marketing system that sends a text message with coupons. Members then can forward the text to there loyalty card for redemption. This social strategy provided measurement and analysis for understand of what works and what doesn't work.

I believe that most of this social stuff is wasting our time but once you understand the value it can pay off...

Average is Average

The average person does a really good job at being average. For instance, have goals to make more money is not a good goal. Most people want to make more money. the question is why do you want to make more money?

Personally, I understand this because like many people I have bills yet I do understand also that people want more stuff to feel good also...

In return this causes us to reject who and want we are and lean towards what pays best.

I think that we should strive to be remarkable and revolutionary.

I have something amazing to show you today. Some of you may have seen this but this goes with a blog post I done a few months ago that dealt with wealth. As we all know, wealth has a lot to do with, family history, luck, hard work, luck and maybe good decisions and knowledge. Really who knows... but I believe that if you asked a few successful people and a few people that are pretty powerful I believe that you can find lots of similarities. Although many of these people do what they do and it pays off there are many others that are not famous but still successful.

For this blog one thing that is very common for movers and shakers is they got to move. They got to get up, get out and do something... Above and beyond reproach. Live, learn and learn from what you live and then apply what you've learned.

In this world aviation is 100 year old and really based on the existence of the world. Not going back to dinosaurs age, given peoples opinion on this, one thing we do know is the world is at least a few thousand years old just like looking at pyramids. As stated above movers aka world shakers gotta move to get things done and given the fact you can be in more the one city in a week movers fly all over the world. In the video you will see air traffic control in 24 hours.

Things to think about when viewing this:

More then likely you know someone on one of those planes. Like people you seen on TV or professional athlete or even family.

Most of these flights are more then likely business related.

Billions of dollars are begin spent..... but trillions of dollars are being made.

Traveling is good and gets you out in the world to meet people..

Understand that when you are traveling millions of the 300 million Americans people are going to business or visit family. Don't travel thinking that you are alone... people can help you achieve.

And last think about the World Trade Center attacks. How incredibly difficult (shocking) it was but yet simple it was to destroy. I've learned from Hitler, Al-Cada and even the american gangsters. One thing they all have in common... No fear or fear is not seen... Heartless though which is bad.

Think about how this effects you and how you can use this to empower you to take that next life step.

Fear "The Universal Emotion"

It is amazing that one thing we all hold in common... Fear!

Fear of the unknown.

Fear of failure.

Fear thats been implanted by others.

Fear is what destroys.

Fear is what makes people reacting.

Most fear is created.

Fear causes people to be ill.

Fear is real!

Fear no more..... Don't let people change your views or cause you to stop pushing your life forward. I have a couple of pictures that are from the internet and it just shows you how people want others to feel the same as they do... perception is value.

People perceive that presidents are bad even if they are not... we haven't had a bad or devil for a president....personally speaking I'm sure others think different. But pictures that make people react will work.

How are you in your life when it comes to issues?

Lack of knowledge.

Lack of understanding.

Lack of help.

Lack, Lack, Lack

Beware that Media, Marketing and Communications experts exist. Thats what I feel about myself, a marketer, a person that finds a way to convey the message or even influence others to do... I really stay out of the things I don't believe in to make sure that I'm not trying to just make a sale. All things should have meaning and you should too!

Did you know that it's ok to think? I mean think to think and practice thinking. Using techniques to make you a better thinker.

I say it takes practice... You must focus and be very open to the negative forces that exists. No not all bad is bad, some bad can turn out to be good, and this is lots easier said then done.

(Get it?)

I'm not referring to a car wreak, or when someone dies and it saves a another life from someone organs. I'm referring to our ability to actively thinking (and reason). We can be nurtured to believe that the world is a scary and bad place and that no one can be trusted. We our told that the government and policemen are bad and which in the right circumstances this could hold some truths. We may have to understand that what's illegal is just that illegal. Hopefully, once we learn what's considered right and we understand why it is right or agree to learn what is right, then this thought process can set forth true understanding of thinking. (or reasoning)

Thinking to me is when you take the time to write notes rather your required to or not. Thinking is a process of reasoning. Making decisions on gut feelings is ok if you really feel that thats the choice you want to make. Personally, as a technical expert in may aspects of technology, one thing use I use the process of elimination. I have a good understanding of electro-currents and how things work. Process of elimination guides me to check one thing at a time. Repeat and try again..... try again. I''ll do this to insure that I didn't miss something, then I will dig into my resources.

The most powerful thing a human can do is think, learn, grow and... repeat. This is enviable!

Here are a few ways I practice thinking.....

Take deep breaths. Slowly breath in.... Then slowly breath out. Oxygen is a big component of thinking. We can replace or remove many different organ in the body but the brain controls it all. Take a look at this diagram. You can do so much more if you take good breaths throughout the day.

Have your opinion but understand first that your opinion is just that...your opinion. Rather, someone believes in you or not they have that right to have and opinion. Your shoud have one! Believe in your thoughts but be OPEN to the fact that 6 billion people are in the world and your thoughts or ideas will be tested.
Listen- this is when you try not to think. Yes, practicing not to think is a way of learning to think. Shut up listen and if you have to (I do sometime) repeat out loud what was said before you gather your own thoughts.
Finally, write, write, write, doodle, and write. Do this in your format. Sometime I draw graphs. This can look very crazy and pointless to many but what this does for me is it causes my brain to explore.. I've done lots of schooling and many other projects. In order to dig it out I will write and scribble and then I will rewrite for clarity.

Be aware that thinking is a process and when you apply yourself and begin to know yourself you can get better at thinking for yourself and possibly for others.... most people are very emotional and that can make them very irrational. (Which means you can't really think for yourself because you may be not thinking clearly and make wrong decisions)

I have just learned of the health care reform and it's interesting to see something of such magnitude unfold.

No I'm not going to get political but just want to see how many people truly read it? If you where for it or not... I downloaded it and oh my gosh, politics are overwhelming. (if your not into it like myself)

I would like to point out one thing. Branding....

How many people talked about this subject? I would say lots. I have friends that listen to a hardcore radio host and I've found that these people are incredible branders.

They have a major outlet.

They have a very niched product.

They have contributing (paying!) subscribers.

Their "True Fans" listen, purchase and believe in them.

Some people are very proud at showing what they are proud about... and getting someone to believe in you and support your brand is something you should try achieve.

Theres so much in this internet based world that it seems that information is getting out of hand, especially internet base. But what I would like to clarify is that you to can put yourself out their and get people to follow you, or believe in you and your projects.

People in today's world need things to be quick and simple. Why? because it's that kind of world.

Developing a brand using tools like this is very easy and begins with a simple strategy.

~ Have a clear idea on what your end results will be after a given time.

~ Get social and have a plan on how facebook is going to improve your brand (and sells).

~ Start a blog, get it on a business cards, and have fun learning about people. (NETWORKING)

Rather you have a business or looking for a job... Branding yourself is like building an image. An your image is your image and people will give you an image if you chose not to give one.

Success is preparing for moments of opportunity..... What are you investing your time in? Will it pay off in the long run? Will it not only provide money but also a since of purpose? Pride? Remember that money is how we live but what you do makes a big difference. I like making money doing things that I love and things that have the biggest impact then working a job that provides with income.

My target market or selected group of individuals that I believe would read my blog on a continual bases.

People wanting to move forward in the career and life.
People that are in to Branding and Marketing.
People that know me
People like myself
People I want to impact with my life experiences and understandings.
ME... I first do it for me, ;)

As you notice the first few statements the marketer comes out a little but at the end I say myself. Why?

Because the old saying "Be true to thy own self." It's hard for people to be true to themselves because many don't want to look at the mirror to see there own flaws. You must see your flaws, not dwell on them, and move past your ego to begin to be all you can be...

What I truly want people to get from this is my individual thoughts and help them see my path as I begin to BRAND myself and help myself.

My first principle of success and self branding.

Take full responsibility of your life and chose wisely.

Choosing wisely is done based on

your own experience(s)
Others experience(s)
your knowledge of given subject
Not letting others scare you from your own idea(s)
Take ownership

This means we can't blame our parents, friends, employers or even the government. Rather you are for somebody or against them you got to carry your own water. Republican or Democrat, Rich or Poor, Black, White, or Red.

You can change your own destiny. Even if it's bad and the fault of the drunk driver or some person that really did something bad. You must continually take responsibility and seek out your own destiny. Never lose your brand because of any excuse or reasoning. If you let the thought that someone or something is causing you to fail you give them the mental rights to take control. Full control is next, thats what they, whomever they are, want and you give it to them when you make excuses.

Interesting Tidbit

In my last post I talked about money and people which stated that people make the world go around not money. Which means that to get more money (business) you need to be connected to people or a person that is connected to people. Money comes from people and people give you money for one reason or another.

Ok I don't want to get to deep in to economics but the interesting thing is look at global wealth. Where is it? What does it do to that area? Why is it there? Just curious... Check this out

Notice that the light colors mean less then the dark and also this refers to per square kilometer. More wealth is really on the coast and again thats per capital, so more people in the dark areas have more but that does not mean that theres no one with money in the lighter areas.

I'm not doing this to make a big deal but just to show you the wealth of our world. Of course there may be more money in these areas but remember that the world is becoming one big marketplace.

An interesting thing is looking at this map at at night.

The more money in the area the more electricity is used....

I will say this, if you want to be smart don't hang around ignorant people. Whatever you want to do in life look for others that are doing something similar. Find people that need your service, with money, but make sure that they want you and not one of the other 6 billion. Prefect your craft and do it very well because there's a lot of people out there....

It's 2010 and a new decade. Do you understand what that means? Let's look at a little history just 10 years ago...

People where scared of technology and the millennium crisis developed

Now to bring you to understanding of life lets try to look at current information on these same subjects.

This country of the United States is at battle with itself which happens when money is involved but remember that life moves and moves fast. Many people are working and doing things preparing for the future, things that are in now most likely will be different in the next 10 years.

There are things individuals started in 2000 and many will start something in 2010. Of course most ideas fail, but thats normal, giving up is also normal. The key here of course is not giving up. The US population is 308 million but thats in the US. The Internet is beginning to change everything in life including the population and how you do business. The music business, the movie business, retail and beyond. Yes, you are in a world of 6 billion people! From business to business or business to consumer you are in a world of service to people. And Remember, "People make the world go around" not money, but working with people is how you move forward in the world.

Many people are working hard as we speak on all sorts of different things and in 10 years or less they will be your leaders, recording artist, actors, business owners and more.... You can be one of them, you should be one of them, your are one of them.

AHHHHHHHHH, I'm so excited to begin my blog. I want to share the information that I have obtained and I use to help move people forward in life including myself.

How many people get jobs and work?

How many people are unhappy with life and what they do?

How many people don't follow their strengths let alone dreams?

I'm not sure but I'm here to tell you that I'm not going to look for reasons why I'm not successful. I'm going to get up and move. This blog is about getting up and moving your businesses or your career or being moved out the way. In todays time the entire world is waiting to take the position of another person by doing a better job. A better job at whatever you do.... Yes I would say many people do the same thing when it comes to business and your personal career.

Now really what we need to do first is do what we do to the best of our abilities but before that can happen we must first learn about.... Our Gifts!

I believe that everyone is better at one thing then the other just by design. Example, Michael Jordan is a golfer, but a better basketball player and this is by design. I must combine the fact that Michael had perfect practice. He had many hours of doing it and doing it behind him but also a gift. Another Michael has this same ability but it's in swimming. It is said that his body is designed to swim... and swim fast. Michael Phelps is his name, world record holder of numerous gold metals, something unheard of in any sport in the Olympics. But note... he still had to do lots of practice. Most people are not committed to anything... anything like an Olympian.
